Golf Daddy $99 No-Ball Golf At Home Simulator Review & Demo
This bad boy right here, the Golf at Home from Golf Daddy. First simulator for under $100. And crazy thing is, you don’t need a ball. Sounds a little too good to be true. So, I’m going to check it out right now. All righty. Here’s the box it comes in. Let’s open it up. See what we got. First things first, we got our mat. Nice and small, lightweight. Could put this anywhere. And pretty satisfying. So, easy to see what’s going on with our swing there. And just resets just like that. We have our own tripod. Small, compact, set this up to analyze our swing. Put our iPhone right in there or Android. We got our QR code. We scan this. Takes us to the app. And uh yeah, let’s set it up. So, to set it up, start off with our map. I like to place it in a way where I’m swinging towards the TV, like I’m on the actual range or the course. Uh I’ve seen some people put it sideways where they can look up at the TV. It’s just personal preference, but I like this way. Tripod setup’s pretty easy. We’re going to fully extend it. Put the legs down. Give it a little twist and set it just in front of our mat here. It’s just got some tabs to hold the phone which we put in right here. It’s got a nice little spring. Keeps it tight. Now, you can play right from your phone, but if you have AirPlay on your TV, I would much rather that which is what I like to do. So, you just drag down, click screen mirror, Apple TV, and wait for it. Boom. So, this is what the app looks like on the TV. First, I want to show you guys what the range looks like. I haven’t taken any swings yet, so this is a good way to practice. To do that, I’m just going to hit play golf, practice, and it’s going to take me to a nice range session. Now that we’re at the range, you can see the app only takes up half my TV. One thing I really like about the app, you go right into settings and turn on TV mode. Boom. much better experience full screen. And yeah, now that we got this set up, let me show you how to take a swing. So to take a shot, all you do is come over to the app, take shot. It’s going to count you down from five and on zero, we want to take our swing. All right, decent divot. It may go left. So, let’s see if that’s what the app shows us. Something I also really like about this, it’s going to show me a slow-mo replay of my swing. I don’t usually record my swing, so it’s nice to see what I’m doing right, what I’m doing wrong. All right, I’m predicting this is going to go left and short. There it is. Left and short. All right, so the mat is pretty accurate. I want to make some corrections. And yeah, let’s take another one. All right, a little better. Let’s see where this goes. Little further than last time. All right, got a good piece of it. How you doing? So, to get out of the range and into the courses, we’re just going to exit to main menu, leave game. We’re going to play golf again and hit solo golf. There’s a couple options with the courses. We have the Cape, Sedona, Matterhorn. I like Sedona. Let’s do that one. You can also pick your avatar. Let’s go with Dave. Little thin. Next problem is how to address that. Not really sure, but at least I can see what I’m doing. Let me bring you guys in close to see this. Predicting your carry distance. I feel like it’s going to be a good distance. I just don’t want to keep pulling it left. Ye. Ooh. Okay. So, it did fly a little lower. I like that. I’m on the green, baby. So, this is how I like to play inside. And luckily I got high ceilings, but if you’re in closer quarters, let me show you how to play outside. All right, so I got us set up outside. The only difference now is I’m just going to be working off the phone since I don’t have a TV out here. And it’s the same process. So let’s take one more swing. All right. Little thin. Yeah, it was a little thin. So, that’s pretty accurate. So, we took some swings inside, took them outside. I showed you guys how it worked. Now, I want to tell you what I like, disliked, and if it’s worth it. So, I’ve had this product for a little while now, and I want to go over some of the positives. First positive point, 99 bucks. That’s pretty unheard of for a golf simulator. As opposed to the other ones that are in the tens of thousands, a lot of people are going to be able to afford this golf simulator. super affordable, pretty cheap. With that, I thought it was going to be a little bit inaccurate. It wasn’t going to work as well, and I was actually really surprised with how accurate it was rating my swing and translates to the actual app. Second pro is going to be it’s doesn’t take up much space. All you have is the mat, golf club, no ball. So, if you have high ceilings, 8 ft, 9 ft, you can get away with. You could use it inside or you just take it outside and use it on your cell phone. Cons. First one is going to be I think the load time is a little too long. So when I hit take shot to the very next shot, it’s just a lot of time to take just one swing. Second con is going to be I wish they had a little more of a club selection. It is nice that I get to work on my short game a lot since my driver is pretty good, but as the updates come, I would like to see a 7 iron, 6, 5, maybe even a wood off the deck. Would I recommend this product? Yes. Is it for your PGA Tour player or your advanced golfer? No. Is it for your average player like me who can’t get to the range all the time? Yes. I think it’s accurate enough and I’ve had some good outcomes with working on my short game from it. So, for 99 bucks, I think it is something worthwhile for the average golfer.
In this video, I review the Golf Daddy “Golf At Home” simulator, a $99 no-ball golf simulator that lets you practice your swing at home without a ball. Is a $99 golf simulator any good? 🤔 I’ll walk you through my experience to find out. From unboxing and setup to indoor living-room swings and even testing it outdoors, I show how this portable device works and syncs with the Golf Daddy app. (The app can even connect to your TV for a video-game-like golf experience.) You’ll see gameplay demos, how the no-ball sim tracks my shots, and what the on-screen course looks like. I also share pros and cons – the benefits (like convenience and affordability) and the drawbacks (like accuracy limitations or app quirks) – all from the perspective of a regular golfer actually using it.
Golf Daddy calls this product a “portable, ‘realistic’ golf simulator” that doesn’t need a golf ball and can be used indoors and outdoors . In the video, I put those claims to the test. ⛳ I show you how easy (or not) the setup is, how well the swing sensor and AI feedback work, and whether the experience feels realistic for practice. If you’re researching Golf Daddy reviews or wondering how to play golf at home on a budget, this honest review should answer your questions. By the end, you’ll know if this affordable home golf simulator is worth it for you.
