I review the Members Mark Pros Series 2 golf ball from Sams Club. This call has a blended Urethane cover and is an incredibly affordable golf ball. Can this compete with premium offerings? I hope you enjoy!

Hey guys, Mr. Short hitter here. You don’t look like a short hitter to me. I am convinced that I have some of the best viewers on the internet. Now, the reason I’m saying that today is because Tom Hail was kind enough to send me the new Members Mark golf ball blended urethane. Says soft feel, long distance, and of course, USGAA compliant. So Tom actually sent me a really nice letter and I want to thank you Tom. I read the letter. It really means a lot that my content can help people out there, can inspire people and hopefully entertained. So I really appreciate that and I’m glad you’re finding the content entertaining. He’s a Navy veteran. He sent me a ball marker. So we will use that today and a really nice letter. So thanks again, Tom. I’ll play two par fours and two par threes. Sometimes I get in the comment section that the testing was more about my game. So, if you just want to know how the golf ball performs, you can skip all of this and go right to the end where I’ll show the numbers. But if you’re interested in how I play with the golf balls and maybe some thoughts about it as I play, then stick around for the whole video. So, the ball is going to get a little bit of a challenge right away because this hole I’ve got about 190 to carry that creek. Adjusted for the elevation. It’s a little downhill. And full disclosure, I already played the hole once because I made a rookie mistake and my microphone wasn’t on. So, we’re going to start over. One whole warm-up and now back to the members mark. And now we’re live. myself a little room and aim at that bridge. Let’s try to hit it in the middle of the face. Push it a little bit, but that ball sounded loud and it felt on the firm side there. Okay, guys. So, here we are. safely over the creek. The ball mark was right here. I shot this ball from the T- box and it showed that it was a 205 carry. So, some math is not mathing, but showed 205. So, we’ll go here. And we have 126 to a flag into the wind. And I’ll go with the seven iron here. Just thought you guys might find it interesting. The first time I played the hole, I didn’t think the ball carried the creek. And I looked and looked and looked and then I finally jumped over the creek, walked over here, and it was in this standing water. So, pretty much right across from where I am now. So, because I had a different little angle before, I had a few more yards and didn’t have to really worry about these tree branches as much. You can tell I love hybrids because I felt more comfortable hitting six hybrid there. But seven iron here. I air this a little bit towards the left side. I don’t want to fool with those big trees [Music] there. It looks like it’s actually the same spot where I hit the six eye from. Lucky Navy poker chip here. Thank you again, Tom. This actually is further than where I hit the six hybrid. I mis hit the six hybrid. This shot I hit pretty flush. So, we have about 30 35 ft here. Do have a little bit of knowledge from the first time on this green. So, I know it is extremely slow. About 70% harder. 10 extra paces off of that last T- box. For that ball to land where it did on those strikes with that wind, it seemed at least as far as the ball that I normally play. I definitely wouldn’t call it short. I do feel like the golf ball is firm from both shots that I hit. We’ve got 190. This is downwind and I have no idea how firm this is going to be because we got some rain. Now, the wind is blowing pretty good. I don’t want to go long and if it’s firm, I’ll go ahead and hit a four hybrid. Worst case scenario, we’re short. I don’t want to go go over that green and have to hit a little flop shot. So, with this wind, if the green is firm and I strike this ball well, I should be able to get it to the hole. If I don’t strike it well, that’s a whole another story. And if the green is soft, then I’m going to be on the front of the green. Well, we’re not going to find out cuz I hit it left. It’s definitely on the firm side of a golf ball. Nothing wrong with that. It’s just some people don’t like a firmer golf ball. Some people do. So, most of you guys know that this is the type of position I really don’t want to be in because it’s not really shortsided, but I always like to miss it on the side further away from the pin. If I was closer, I would probably hit like a five hybrid here, but we’re just going to go with the little 58. Little tow down shot here. Probably could have went 54. Positive to chipping that past the hole. I would have been able to see any break that it had. Feel like it’s a inside right putt. But on that shot, it’s hard to tell where that ball landed, but it got pin high, so it flew out pretty [Music] good. It’s not the firmst ball that I’ve I’ve ever hit, but you can definitely tell it’s a there’s some firmness to it. So guys, I hope you’re enjoying the video. Every once in a while, I get a comment asking about the durability of a golf ball. Well, this Members Mark seems to be a pretty durable golf ball. And I have not got a mark or a scuff on this golf ball yet. So, a pretty solid cover. This blended urethane seems to be holding up pretty well. Now, just want to interrupt for a second to let you know that this video is sponsored by Golf Ball Planet. Golf Ball Planet has been the number one supplier of used golf balls since 1997. So, make sure to check out my sponsor, Golf Ball Planet, when looking at purchasing recycled golf balls. Support the channel, support the sponsor, and save yourself some money. Okay, guys. I’m trying to brace my tripod. I’m waiting for it to blow over. I got clubs, everything holding it down. The wind is blowing pretty good. Okay, so with the slope here, we got 372. It’s creek down there, but that’s well out of reach. So, the main thing is to stay left of the big trees on the right. That’s really the only way we could get blocked out unless we get behind one of those little trees. Little left. [Music] Okay, the wind’s blowing left and right. That ball went right where I aimed it. There’s two little trees there. So, hopefully we’re not behind one of those. It’s flying at least as far as my game ball. And it may be one of the one of the longer balls. So, got that going for us. It’s not getting firm out here because the ball mark is right here. So, this ball seems to be flying pretty good. It’s kind of rare where a ball is flying further than I expected to. So, 162. There was no helping wind there. I had 172 to the flag. So, this ball carried 210. All right. So, the wind is kind of swirling. I’ve got 162 with no roll. That would be a pretty good five hybrid. I’m going to hit a five hybrid and just see because again, the wind is now it’s going left to right. was hurting just a little, but now it seems like it’s just left to right. If I can get this to the flag, that would be a really, really good five hybrid. But here, I’d rather be short. So, let’s just see. This ball seems to be flying pretty darn good. Another pool. That’s me. That’s me. But it actually flew all the way to the green. So it didn’t fly to the flag, but it ended up maybe a little short of pin high. And that was a pretty pretty pretty bad swing. So maybe a yard or two short of pin high. It’s going to be real interesting when I go indoors to see, you know, because we swing differently every day. So am I just striking the ball or swinging a little quicker today than normal? Or is this golf ball actually flying a little further than than uh normal? Not sure if I’m ready for this putt this time of year. Big left to right [Music] breaker. Not bad. [Music] Guys, I feel like this ball may not spin quite as much as the premium balls, [Music] but I played three holes so far with with this ball and there’s not a mark on it. So, it’s probably pretty darn [Music] durable. High one there. If I can hit a little lower one here. Not quite like that. [Music] Feel like we’re yet to hit a short iron outside of those little pit shots. So, I’ll play this last par three up front. Exactly 100 yards to the pin. Wind is kind of maybe helping a little bit and going right to left. Mainly right to left. So, I’ll hit a pitching wedge. If I hit it well, it should fly past the hole by maybe four or five yards. That ball, that’s a lot further than 5 yards past the flag. This ball definitely flew further than I thought. So that flew about 108. Kind of getting the same length putt over and over. Another 35-footer. This one’s downhill. Still going to hit this almost twice as hard as I would on a fast green. Okay guys, so let’s take a look at the numbers of this Members Mark golf ball compared to the Prov1. You may find this pretty surprising. From 50 yards, the Members Mark launched 6° higher than the Prov1. Spin about 200 RPM less, the descent the same, and the peak height the same. So really good performance from the Members Mark from 50 yards. With the seven iron, the ball speed was the same. Launched about.3 degrees lower, the spin within 100 RPM, peak height the same, carry the same, and total the same. Really good performance there with the 7iri. With the driver, the members mark have6 miles per hour less than the prov 150 RPM more. The descent two degrees steeper, peak height three yards higher, carry the same, and total three yards shorter. We have 27 yards of roll out, which is more roll out than I’m generally getting. But again, very good performance with the driver with the members mark. Just play 13.

  1. I just bought a box of thr Seed SD-01 and am loving them so far. Have tou tried them yet? Im curious how they stack up against the top brands.

  2. Thanks! Just for giggles I checked the Sam’s Club website – they claim that the ball compression is “around 90”, hence the harder feel. Cheers!

  3. Wow. I AM surprised how well this ball performed. Great comparison. My game needs all the help it can get so I'm still afraid to try a more economic ball . . .. except when there is water in sight : )

  4. You should try the new callaway chrome tour triple diamond balls I tried them today and luv them way better than the old ls balls they had.. thanks for the vids MSH

  5. Enjoyed this one. Liked the course first, launch monitor after format.

I have watched a few reviews of the MM ball, but this one spoke to me more than the others.

  6. Awesome stuff MSH!!! Thanks for the review.

Agreed. It sounds funny off woods. Feels okay on irons and around the green. Hard to beat at the price.

I’m definitely not going to be switching, but it’ll definitely do in a pinch or on a sloppy day.

  7. Thanks for review MSH. It’s always nice to have value/performance options in this expensive game. I’m guessing you’d rate it higher than the Walmart only Wilson Boost? Thanks again!

  8. Thanks MSH this was a helpful review. I’d like to see the ball cut in half compared to the Pro V1…just curious!

  9. I just played a full round with these golf balls. Shot a +7 as a 10 handicap. I was surprised how well they performed.

  10. Some of the dumbass stuff people say…I mean more about your game..well you can have all the numbers you can get but to me if you don't test equipment in the field with your game then how do you really know..love your content keep going 🙂🙂

  11. I too picked some of these up. $25 for two dozen is hard to beat. Played them and gave some away. We all said the same thing. Hard to tell the difference from other pro balls. Maybe a tad on durability, but feel (may feel a bit firmer), performance seems very similar.
