With President Donald Trump spending almost one-third of his first 100 days at the Winter White House, the circle of people also visiting at his Palm Beach County clubs is a mix of figures from the political and golf worlds.
Far from as ubiquitous this time around have been the president’s immediate family, especially first lady Melania Trump and eldest daughter Ivanka Trump.
Here is a list of “who’s who” types who have been seen at Mar-a-Lago and the president’s golf clubs, and family members that were mainstays at the Winter White House during his first term but are not seen as much around these days.
Mar-a-Lago Who’s Who during Trump’s visits to Palm BeachElon Musk
The world’s richest man was a frequent visitor to weekends at the Winter White House, owing to his high-profile role in the president’s first three months. His Department of Government Efficiency, or DOGE, was charged with radically slashing the federal budget. It quickly became the flashpoint and the focus of intense protests and opposition. By the end of the 100 days, Musk was transitioning out, and DOGE’s reported savings were far fewer than the up-to-$2 trillion Musk vowed during the presidential campaign. Musk deplaned Air Force One with his son, X, perched on his shoulders.
Vice President JD Vance
Trump’s first vice president, Mike Pence, trekked to Mar-a-Lago a few times and Vance made his first appearance there, but not until the administration’s Day 102.
Howard Lutnick
The secretary of commerce visited in the lead-up to the “Liberation Day” tariffs.
Scott Bessent
The treasury chief also traveled to Palm Beach with the president amid the upheaval in the stock markets as the administration pursued altering the global trading order by imposing higher duties on imported goods.
Marco Rubio
The secretary of state made a very high-profile visit in March on the heels of an intense and vocal face-off with Musk over State Department cost-cutting during a White House meeting. Rubio’s plane was parked at PBIA in proximity to Air Force One.
Susie Wiles
Unlike Trump’s first-term chiefs of staff, Wiles has extensive ties to Florida.
Lindsey Graham
Graham, a South Carolina Republican U.S. senator, is a golfer and political hand on Capitol Hill.
Alexander Stubb
The president of Finland impressed Trump with his golf skills during a round at Trump International in March.
Byron Donalds
The Naples area Republican congressman is Trump’s pick to be Florida’s next governor. By contrast, the man Donalds is bidding to replace, Gov. Ron DeSantis, is not around the clique holding court with the president at the club.
Sean Hannity
The Fox News on-air personality has a place here and is no stranger to Mar-a-Lago. Curiously, he stopped by the table where Trump, Musk and Rubio were dining after the blow-up.
Gary Player
The legendary golfer played a round with Trump, Stubb and Graham in March.
Tiger Woods
Arguably one of the greatest golfers of all time, Woods played with Trump on the president’s second visit this term. Woods also is dating Vanessa Trump, ex-wife of Donald Trump Jr.
What about the family members? No longer as visible
In 2019, Mar-a-Lago hosted the Christmas dinner for the Trumps. Who has been spotted in town so far during this term?
Melania Trump
The first lady traveled with the president to Mar-a-Lago during each of the 30-plus visits in the first term. She has not been seen deplaning Air Force One at PBIA during this term.
Donald Trump Jr.
Don Jr. was a familiar sight during the first term, as was his fiancée at the time, Kimberly Guilfoyle, who was a frequent network surrogate for the president. Don Jr. and Guilfoyle have since parted ways; she now serves as ambassador to Greece.
Ivanka Trump
The president’s eldest daughter, her husband Jared Kushne, traveled with the president here during his first term. But the couple, then, held White House advisory roles. It appears they have not yet participated in this administration.
Eric Trump
Eric and his wife Lara also were around Mar-a-Lago frequently in the first term. Lara, however, has a Saturday evening television show on Fox News. Lara appeared at the annual Big Dog Ranch Rescue fundraiser held at Mar-a-Lago in early March.
Tiffany Trump
The only child the president had with second-spouse Marla Maples, Tiffany and her husband Michael Boulos are expecting a baby. During the transition, Trump named Tiffany’s father-in-law, Massad Boulos, as a foreign policy adviser. Tiffany Trump has not been an active player in her father’s campaigns or administrations.
Barron Trump
The first couple’s only child traveled with his parents during the first term, when he was a minor. Now 19 years of age, he is attending college in New York City.
