Old TaylorMade Qi-10 vs. New Qi-35 Comparison

Scotty Sheffller wins the PJ Championship playing the QI10. Roy Maroy won the Masters and the AT&T Beach Pro and whatever else he’s won with the Qi 10. What’s wrong with the Qi35? Well, me and James Han, we going to figure this out, man. So, pull up, sit back, relax. Here we go. Qi 10 versus Qi35. Viewer discretion is advised. All right, back on the range. Boy, James Han, you know, we noticed some differences between guys going into the new driver and not going out of the old driver. So, we thought we’d test it with the tailor made Qi10. We got the Qi35. And we’re going to see why Rory and Scotty, well, they love this thing. James, I’ll let you lead us off. Let’s start here with this Q i10. And we’re going to talk through it. James, just I want to know visually what you see in that thing first. We got Trackman verifying data. So, uh, it’s definitely shiny. It’s a good looking golf club. Your classic pear shape. Let’s see. That was tomahawk. Oh, that was good. Little off the toe, but still really straight. Yeah, that was solid off the toe. Very forgiving. I’m not going to be angry at the numbers off the toe. Just going to go three shots, James. Let’s see kind of what we see and what you notice. Let me readjust here. Okay, that was a lot better. Oh, better. Similar speed on those two. All right. Nothing that you would really love to see, James. See, we just out here cruising today. I’m not trying to again beat it down the block, but I tell you what, that ball showed me enough of when you like something, there’s no reason to really switch it. Like, you know, if we’re getting 170 and change ball speed with this and we’re going to get the same with the other one, I don’t know why we move. Here we go. Well, that was me getting late as hell. Not the best golf swing, but tell you what, you know me, James, I like seeing a a right miss. And that was definitely that three balls. That’s That’s all we’re doing. It’s a little higher than your other ones, but other than that, yeah, that one mainly that wasn’t the best golf swing in the world. Try not to kill Kevin Streman out in front of us. I don’t know how brave that guy is. See, I hit that well, but it felt spinny. You know, honestly, I’ve had this driver for a year. I didn’t really love this driver if I’m being honest with you. Like there was something about it. What did you not like about it? I always thought it was a little harsh personally. Like the feel even though the carbon filter is supposed to be, you know, very small or muted and whatnot. Yeah, they got the mute right with this. But there’s a lot of more feedback than I thought. So, uh I don’t know. All right, let’s test out the new one. Yeah, let’s go into the new one. You’re already hot. All right, I’m already hot. So, we’ll just pass it like a blunt. And you know what? Look, when we’re doing this stuff, like, we’re not talking through all the club data. I don’t care about that stuff. That’s for engineers and, you know, other YouTube people that aren’t very good at golf. Like, go listen to them if you want to care about weight ports and adjustability. My question is, does it fly like I wanted to right off the bat, this looks better? They did a better job with the design here. And um, yeah, confidence inspiring. That was about as good as it gets. That was about as good as it gets. That was faster, too. What was it? 177 ball speed. Oh, done. Hello. I don’t even like Why am I still hitting this? Like, I dime the first one. Just under 2,000 spin, which is Yeah, we’re hitting probably one. Yeah. Right over there so that way we can get more accurate ball readings. I’ll just switch it up. Tell you what, that was I mean, I wouldn’t that felt change any of these numbers right now. That was optimal. Well, that’s the question. It’s like, why would they change? And like right after the first one, I don’t see why they haven’t. I mean, what what am I supposed to do? Do you need to hit another one? Do I need to? No. Yes. Three balls. Three balls. Three balls. But I mean I mean, how good was that? Those are two. That was a little towy, too. Wow. So towi spin rate went down to 1633. Yeah, but I think I launched it high enough to like counteract it. Let’s go ahead and get one. That was beat. 310 carry. That was all three of them were. Dude, why why would you not switch to this driver? Wow. And no, no one’s paying us to talk about this stuff. Nobody’s I don’t have Oh, yeah. Well, what do you think about the look? Dog in the fight. I love the look. I feel like this the mutedness of this. And it’s poppy. It feels faster than that one off the face. The ball feels like it’s just leaving. Definitely sounds different. My turn. Your turn. Same settings. It’s technically the same driver. You know what I’m saying? That last one was pretty good. Club path zero. I’ll take that. Really good. All right. First thing I notice, a little bit bigger of a head, but I love the look of it. And they’re both the same model. That middle one, not the LS, not the Max. This is that core model Qi10. Uh, better than that. Did you mean to do that? Yeah, absolutely. Dude, that was 3 miles an hour faster than what we saw. Yeah. I mean, and here’s the thing. What are we supposed to do with that? If I have a golf club, if I have a driver, and the very first swing that I take with it is right in the middle of the face and it does exactly what I want it to do. Exactly. Then, yeah, it’s got a really good chance of making the bag. I mean, there’s nothing there’s nothing for you to hate about that. Ask for anything different. All right, let’s see if I can do the same thing, dude. Same exact shot right there. That was maybe a tick high. I mean, you’re launch I mean, maybe not. You’re launching it 14. I like hitting it high. I’m a high ball hitter. I love to be able to carry it far and see that ball stay in the air. Yeah. I mean, look, the ball speeds are are where they are. That one spun a little bit on you. All right, but let’s see if I That was 2,800 on the spin. Let me open it up. and see if it could. Let’s open that back foot up a little. Handle the beast. I don’t think you missed the fairway in that little test. That was 73 ball, James. 116. That was good. Get down. Get down. That three. That was really good. All right. So, look, peep game. Based off the data, the numbers, the playing numbers, I don’t see a reason that people wouldn’t switch out of the Qi 10 and into the Qi35. So, Rory Scotty, I I don’t I mean, I know y’all best players in the world, but this thing is pretty freaking good. And nobody’s paying us to say this, but I I think it’s an upgrade. I think so. I think it’s worth it. Yeah. I think I think it looks better. I think it sounds better. I think it feels better. You selling it or you buying it? Neither one. I just want to know why people aren’t going out of this and into that on tour with Scotty and Rory. Colin went in fairly quick. You know, he’s he’s slow to change driver. So, but um if I’m trying to decide if I’m going to go buy this one off the off the shelves for a discounted price or buy the new boy, yeah, I’m going to spend 1,200 bucks on that thing. Get the upgraded shaft. It’s worth it, guys. Yeah, absolutely. For sure. It’s a different color. It’s a different look, same sweet spot, more adjustability, but overall, I think it’s a better driver.
