Oleksandr Usyk and Daniel Dubois will step into the ring together for the second time — this time with the undisputed heavyweight championship on the line.

The fighters first met in 2023, with Usyk successfully defending the WBA, IBF, WBO, IBO, and The Ring titles via ninth-round stoppage.

However, the bout was not without controversy as a punch from Dubois in the fifth round was deemed a low blow by the referee, who then allowed Usyk nearly four minutes to recover.

To this day, Dubois maintains that the punch was legal, adding spice to an already massive rematch.

Additionally, Dubois now comes with the IBF title that Usyk vacated last year, giving both men the opportunity to leave with more belts than they arrived with.

In the time since their bout in August 2023, Usyk has fought twice against Tyson Fury. The first fight happened in May 2024, with Usyk winning the undisputed title by split decision, although he did score a knockdown in the ninth round.

Usyk vs. Fury 2 took place seven months later, with the Ukrainian again defeating Fury by decision, although this time the judges were unanimous in favour of Usyk.

Meanwhile, Dubois also made the most of his time since first fighting Usyk, as he has rung off three straight stoppage victories against Jarrell Miller, Filip Hrgovic and Anthony Joshua, respectively.

Dubois claimed the IBF interim title in his victory over Hrgovic and was upgraded to full champion prior to defeating Joshua in a stunning display of dominance at Wembley.
