Two LIV golfers received huge payouts in spite of their lackluster scores. 2 players at the recent LIV Golf event in Miami, finished with embarrassing scores of 21 over par, but still took home a significant amount of prize money. Mark Leechman edged out Charles Schwarzel to snatch a one-shot victory at Trump National Doral on Sunday. It saw the Australian take home the top prize of3.1 million with runner-up Schwarzel claiming a share of 1.75 million. Leashman carded a total score of six underpar which is worlds apart from what the two last placed finishers managed. Chipa Lee and Ben Campbell both endured nightmare tournaments finishing on 21 over par across the three rounds. They were two shots a drift of their nearest rival Mido Pereira who ended up on 19 over parard. Lee’s hopes fell apart in the second round when he birdied the first hole before recording eight bogeies, one double bogey, and one triple bogey. Campbell meanwhile suffered a horrendous final round with five bogeies, one double bogey, and one triple bogey. In spite of their lackluster scores, Lee and Campbell still took home a hefty chunk of prize money. They were paid £38,892 each, an incredible sum for just three days of work and especially given their disappointing results. It means Lee has earned a total of £587,946 from LIIV tournaments in 2025, putting him 35th on the overall money list. Campbell, meanwhile, is up in 12th place with total winnings of 1.65 million. We Neman leads the way on the LIV money list for 2025, having claimed a whopping6.58 million pounds in prize money. He won the Adelaide event before securing another impressive victory in Singapore last month. Sergio Garcia is second on the 2025 list with total winnings of3.84 84 million ahead of third placed Adrien Moranc3.57 million and John Rom in fourth spot 2.92 million. Rom finished top of the 2024 money list receiving just over 13 million in tournament prize money in addition to a whopping bonus payment of 14 million. Even the last placed finisher, Wade Ormsby, took home a total of 103,926 pounds for his troubles.
