[MUSIC] There is a reason this man, Kevin Owens,
goes by the moniker Fight, Owens, Fight. That is what it is all about for
Kevin Owens. KO looking to wrestle the Universal
Championship away from Roman Reigns tonight to win it for
the second time in his career. Welcome back to ringside everyone from
Friday Night Smackdown, Michael Cole and Corey Graves. And Corey,
it’s been said that Kevin Owens fights for his family when Roman Reigns
uses his family. >> Well, throughout KO’s tenure in WWE,
he has never hesitated to stab someone in the back when need be to do
the wrong thing that benefits him. I hope for Kevin’s own sake and his family he can tap
into that tonight and somehow knock off the Universal Champion. [MUSIC] He is the man who thinks
he runs it all in WWE, a very pompous and arrogant yet successful Universal Champion. >> All the adjectives you used prior to
successful, Cole, don’t matter one bit. You are looking at the Universal Champion, the most dominant Roman Reigns
we have ever seen before. [MUSIC] [SOUND]
>> Corey, Roman Reigns, of course,
from the Anoa’i family, one of the most prestigious families
in the history of sports entertainment. Roman Reigns’ cousin,
the late great Yokozuna. And all you have to do is watch on

now takes it to the next level, defending the title Last Man Standing. >> You talk about the Anoa’i family,
you talk about Roman Reigns and the importance of The Bloodline. Those aren’t just buzzwords, those

steps between the ropes, he does so for himself and his entire family. >> And Kevin Owens, as we mentioned it

battling for one prize tonight, the most prestigious prize in WWE,

advantage, Corey, because there are no pinfalls and submissions,
no count outs and no disqualifications. It’s about incapacitating your opponent,
beating the hell out of them so they can’t reach their
feet by the count of ten. >> There may be no other match type that
lends itself to brutality quite like Last Man Standing. Both of these men will have to leave
it all in the ring on the floor. Heck, somewhere in the Thunder Dome,
we must have a winner. >> Roman Reigns has made a habit of
gaslighting just about everybody in WWE nowadays. But he has not really, Corey, been able
to get under the skin of Kevin Owens. It doesn’t seem like those mental
games have worked with KO. >> Roman has made the comparison
between Kevin Owens and a cockroach that just won’t die,
just won’t go away. Tonight, Reigns wants to
exterminate Owens once and for all. For the 21st time in WWE history, a championship will be defended
in a Last Man Standing match. [NOISE]
>> Let’s not forget that the Miz has said, he’s hinted that he’ll be watching
this matchup closely tonight. Of course, Miz,
the Money in the Bank contract holder, could cash in a contract at any
time on a champion of his choosing. >> Miz is watching this match like
a meteorologist watches a storm system. You wanna keep track of it,
you wanna pay attention to it, but you wanna stay the hell out of the way. [SOUND] [NOISE] >> Introducing the challenger from Marieville, Quebec, Canada, weighing in at 266 pounds, Kevin Owens. [NOISE] >> And his opponent, accompanied by his special counsel, Paul Heyman, weighing in at 265 pounds, he is the Universal Champion,
Roman Reigns. [NOISE]
>> Roman Reigns has defended his title successfully in a steel cage,
in I Quit matches, Hell in a Cell, Extreme Rules,
no disqualification, and now for the first time,
he looks to defend Last Man Standing. The WWE ThunderDome, Tropicana Field, the
host of this championship match tonight. They are talking about it around
the world on social media. [NOISE]
>> The potential for disaster is high for both. [SOUND]
>> And Owens and Reigns go right after one another as
the bell rings and we are now underway. Kevin Owens taking the fight to Roman,
and Roman throwing haymakers as well. >> As tough as Kevin Owens is,
I don’t know, you ever wanna get into a punching
contest with Roman Reigns? >> Well, look at Roman Reigns now, whoa,
was being backed up by the rights by Owens, and then the right by Roman,
went for the Superman punch. And Kevin Owens looked for
a stunner early. Superman punch right on the jaw. KO’s down, and
now the official will begin the count. Owens has to make it back to his feet
by ten or he’s out of the matchup. Count of four, Owens back to his feet. Reigns now runs into a knee. Kevin could be setting Roman up. Here it comes, looking for
the Pop Up Powerbomb. >> No!
>> Just like that, Reigns stunned. Reigns is down,
the official will begin to count. >> Kevin Owens shocking Roman Reigns
with a Pop Up Powerbomb. >> Both superstars landing major offensive
blows in the opening moments of this contest, but Reigns is up. >> Yeah, just like KO,
Reigns made it to his feet at four. But Roman is going to bail out as we
take a look first at the first Superman punch right on the jaw by Reigns. >> But somehow Kevin Owens was able
to make it back to his feet and follow up with a Pop Up Powerbomb,
incoming. >> And now Roman Reigns with Kevin Owens
on his shoulder, looked like he may have been looking for a Samoan drop, and Kevin
Owens, though, able to drop to his feet. >> Reigns bounced off the ring post. The Universal Champion is stunned, Kevin
Owens with an opportunity to capitalize. And now Owens driven into
the steps shoulder first, and here’s the second major blow landed. That being the Pop Up Powerbomb
this time from Kevin Owens, driving the champion down
on the back of his neck. >> And now Roman Reigns with a spear. >> Kevin Owens flattened,
steamrolled by Reigns, and this could be a quick one. [NOISE]
>> I look for the longer this match to go to To see
more of the same luring Kevin Owens in, using KO’s emotions, waiting for
Kevin to make a mistake. >> Yeah, but Kevin Owens back to his feet,
that never say die attitude and the scrappiness of Kevin Owens
could help him in this match. Remember, no Disqualification, all of this is legal range
steel steps in hand, bang, right off the face of Kevin Owens. [NOISE]
>> Steps to KO, KO dropped at the head of the ramp. >> And I think at this point is when it
becomes abundantly clear, it becomes real to Kevin Owens, exactly what he signed
up for, and again, the steps to Owens. >> Yeah, Roman Reigns has
made it very clear, Corey, how much the universal title means to him. What it means about putting food

>> And that stops Roman Reigns in his tracks. >> Something with you. >> And perhaps more importantly than,
than anything, Cory, that gives Kevin Owens an opportunity to
regain some composure, catch his breath. And plan, plot, think, decide what the
next brutal step will be in his offense, smart move by Owens. He knew Reigns wasn’t going to be down for
a count of ten, so he grabbed Reigns before he could make it
back to his feet to continue the assault. >> Come on, let’s see your people? >> And bang,Ray into those
big LED boards that host the virtual WWE fans here in Thunderdome. >> Reigns is down and
KO showing his relentless side. [NOISE]
>> The fight can spill anywhere throughout Thunderdome, it does not
have to end in the ring. [NOISE]
>> Tropicana Field is Kevin Owens and Roman Reigns playground as
Owens now delivers a booth. [NOISE]
>> Paul Heyman’s trying to get a closer look at the action, but
was sent scurrying, look in KO’s eyes now. >> KO steel steps. >> Now it’s Kevin Owens turn
to blast the steps off Reigns, Roman Reigns now on an equipment table. >> Wait a minute, and
does this bring back memories, Corey? >> Kevin Owens knows all
about those equipment tables. >> Yeah, this is a dejavu because
Kevin Owens was tossed off the platform through the tables by Reigns. >> This is in dejavu,
Cole, this is payback, Roman not allowing Owens the opportunity. >> And Reigns.
>> Went to the eyes, perfectly legal and smart in this situation. >> Now Owens blinded momentarily and
Reigns able to go on the attack. >> Uh-oh, now this could be deja vu for
Kevin Owens. >> Precarious position now for
Owens and The Head of the Table, Roman Reigns steel chair to
the midsection of Kevin Owens. [NOISE]
>> And again to the ribs and across the spine. [NOISE]
>> A punishing attack. [NOISE]
>> And Kevin though, right back to his feet, firing back
with the right hand range as well, caught him right on the top of the head. >> The world, the word irrepressible has
been thrown a lot around a lot lately as pertains to Kevin Owens. I can’t think of a more accurate
description, even at his own peril, Owens refuses to stay down. >> Yeah, he does’t go away,
Kevin Owens and Roman Reigns now up a bit higher. [NOISE]
>> [INAUDIBLE] Regns [INAUDIBLE] much higher,
are they going to climb, Corey? >> This is a massive structure,
beyond the walls of the Thunderdome is Tropicana Field is a massive stadium,
and Kevin. >> That Superkick to the jaw. [NOISE]
>> Reigns stunned, he collaps, that’ll force the official
to start the count again. >> Two. >> Owens now with a weapon. >> Three. [NOISE]
>> Four, five. >> Officials, count of five,
Roman still struggling back to his feet. >> He catch him on the knee? >> Yes, both legs being attacked, this
is a smart strategy by The Challenger. >> Yeah, very unique strategy by
Owens changing things up a bit, and that’s great strategy, Corey,
because if you take out the legs, you can’t make it back to
your feet by the ten count. >> Absolutely right, Reigns now needs to summon the power
to regain a vertical base. >> Trying to make it back to his feet
does, it’ll wave off the count at seven. Reigns is hurting though, and
again back to the knee, Kevin Owens, a thinking man’s wrestler and
he’s thinking right here. Reigns is trying to fight back and
create some distance and separation. >> Big boot, no. >> Look at how high they
are up above the Thunderdome. >> Both of these superstars
teetering inches from catastrophe. >> Yeah,
precariously close to the edge, and now it’s Reigns’s turn with
the the chair across the spine. >> One. >> Get out, man. >> Two, three, four. >> Owens still dragging
himself back to his feet. [NOISE]

>> Kevin Owens [INAUDIBLE]. >> No, no, no, no. >> Reigns is close to the edge,
that could be catastrophe. >> Champion doesn’t realize. [NOISE]
>> Supermanpunch. [NOISE]
>> No, Roman, no, no. [NOISE]
>> Kevin Owens flying off. [NOISE]
>> The tron to the table. >> Three, four. >> And this could be it for Kevin Owens. >> The official of five. >> Six. >> And a count of six now, Kevin Owens, Universal Championship dreams
could be going up in smoke. Count of eight now at nine,
Owens drags himself to his feet, Reigns can’t believe it. >> No one can believe it, but is
Kevin Owens just delaying the inevitable. Kevin Owens might never be able
to compete again at this rate, if it continues like this,
KO is risking permanent harm to himself. >> No idea where Kevin Owens
is going right now. >> I don’t know if Kevin knows. [NOISE]
>> The last time Kevin sustained a fall from even less of a height
than we just witnessed, it’s missed several weeks and
now adrenaline is amazing. >> Hey, Kevin Owens is. [NOISE]
>> Maybe Kevin’s wised up and is retreating, maybe Kevin Owens finally
realized he’s in an unwinnable situation. [NOISE]
>> That’s the mostly backstage area here at Tropicana Field, you see one of
the workout rings in the background. The official comes back into play to check
on Kevin Owens to make sure he can make it back to his feet or
have to start the town again. You mentioned the amount of real
estate available, I mean, look around. >> Hey, I need you to protect yourself or
this match is over, right? >> My God, are you kidding me? Roman Reigns just ran over
Owens with a golf cart. >> Just stay down, Kevin, for your sake,
for your family’s sake, stay down. >> They may have no choice, Corey. >> I think Kevin Owens is out cold, he was blindsided by Roman Reigns. [NOISE]
>> Back up, what are you crazy? Come on, what are you doing? >> Three.
>> The official at a count of three. >> Four, five. >> Kevin Owens. >> Six.
>> I mean, he’s trying to. >> No disturb here. >> Kevin, think about your wife,
think about your children, stay down. >> Eight, nine. He’s up, he’s up. >> And
Kevin Owens made it back to his feet. And Roman Reigns can’t believe it. And now he’s teeing off. The defiant Kevin Owens, just incurring
the wrath, of the Universal Champion. >> Yeah, but sometimes, Corey,
defiance can get you hurt. Like seriously hurt. [SOUND]
>> Kevin at the last possible second was able to turn his body to maybe,
avoid permanent disaster. But it’s still,
right through the plexiglass, windshield. >> Six. >> And now a count of six. Owen, still trying to
drag himself to his feet. >> Hey. >> And he does again. >> Grandfather’s Day,
always pops up there. No, cap. [NOISE]
>> Kevin Owens now, Rome is imploring Kevin to stay down for
his own safety. But Kevin Owens Wal. >> Son of a bitch. [INAUDIBLE] No, get your hands up. No. [NOISE]
>> Roman Skull, Rick is showing off the road cases. This is a crazed Kevin Owens,
a rabbit Owens. >> My grandfathers,
were more men than you’ll ever be. [NOISE]
>> Kevin mention his grandfather. >> My goodness. [NOISE]
>> And we’re Roman Reigns poked that,
Roman Reigns started that conversation. And now, Kevin Owens high above,
with a splash, through Reigns and through the table. [NOISE]
>> Now both men are down. [NOISE]
>> With crimson on the lips of the Universal Champion. Is battle, as we look at
the tremendous impact £260 plus, crashing down on the Universal Champion. And it looks like Kevin about
to make it to his feet. [NOISE]
>> Kevin makes it to his feet at a count of six. Reigns is still down,
reigns is still down. We’re at a count of eight. A count of nine,
Reigns just beats the count. Back to his feet, so close for Owens. >> Kevin Reigns on spaghetti links. And Kevin Owens now,
has the Universal Champion. >> The head of the table, at his feet. [NOISE] >> No race to end the ladder and down to the floor again. [NOISE]
>> Roman Reigns is hurt, Graves, he’s really hurt. >> There’s no doubt about that. Could the Universal Champion have
bitten off more than he can chew? As the head of the table finally
met his match, in Kevin Owens. A count of five,
halfway to the Championship is Owens. A count of six, again. Reigns trying to drag himself
to his feet at a count of seven. He’s now muttering to himself. A count of eight now, Reigns needs
to use the table, to beat the cap. And right on the attack again,
Kevin Owens. >> Move. [NOISE]
>> See the real spinning in
the mind of Kevin Owens. The challenger, made it abundantly
clear how much this means to him. [NOISE]
>> Come on. [NOISE]
>> There’s a reason you need a license to run these things. And Owens surely, doesn’t have one. >> So, he’s doing, okay? [NOISE]
>> Yep. [NOISE]
>> No. >> Where is he? >> No, you know exactly where he’s going. >> Owens, what are you doing? >> You know exactly what
Kevin Owens is thinking. >> Kevin Owens climbing to
the top of that forklift. Reigns is helpless down there, Corey? [NOISE]
>> He’s not gonna do this, there’s no way. >> Damn, right he is. >> My guess, that’s his best pitch. >> My God, [INAUDIBLE] off the far
left to rage, to the table. >> That’s gotta be it. [NOISE]
>> Kevin Owens doing everything in his power,
to try to win the Championship. [NOISE]
>> To teach Reigns a lesson in respect. >> The officials now at a count of five. At a count of six now. Owens to his feet,
Reigns is down at seven. It could be Owens moment. A count of eight now, a count of nine, Reigns barely beats the count again,
but he can’t stand. >> But that brief moment was enough
to break the officials count. [NOISE]
>> Look at this. >> My God. >> What else can you say about Owens? That he is a man, possessed tonight. A madman, willing to risk anything and
everything, to topple the Roman Empire. >> Roman Reigns is in retreat, as we
take another look at the death-defying stunt by Kevin Owens,
off the top of forklift. Through Reigns, through the table. And now, Reigns is crawling,
away from the challenger. >> Look at that. [NOISE]
>> Whose blood is that on your face? It’s not mine. No, no, that’s tribal blood. [NOISE]
>> Reigns can’t even function at this point. >> Back to where it all started? >> It feels like a great white right now. >> Now. >> The Universal Champion’s
blood has been shed. And Kevin, wants to reap the benefits,
and take another look at this. And Corey, I cannot believe, the senton off the top of
the forklift by Kevin Owens. And the question I have for you is this. Have you seen Roman Reigns since
he’s become the Universal Champion, on the defense like he is now,
in the state that he is now, not in control of the moment and
in the match. >> Not once. [NOISE]
>> And Owens dragging, Roman Reigns out so the entire world and
everyone inside the Thunderdome can see. >> I can’t believe I’m saying this, but
Roman Reigns, looks helpless right now. >> He’s defenseless,
he can’t even protect himself. And now on a count of five,
Reigns is still down. [NOISE]
>> A count of eight. [NOISE]
>> A count of nine, Reigns barely makes it back. It looked like Reigns was
almost banging off there. It was almost like he was asking for
mercy. >> I agree with you. >> What a Superman punch
out of desperation. >> But Reigns never asks for
mercy, it was clearly, a ploy. Maybe just to buy Roman a moment. And now raise with a spear
through the screen. [NOISE] >> A desperation spear from Reigns. >> The official might wanna think
about stopping this all together, for both of their sake. This could destroy two careers. [NOISE]
>> And now the count begins. Roman Reigns will make it back
to his feet easily at two. Kevin Owens, though,
is in deep trouble now. A count of five,
halfway to a win for Reigns. Kevin Owens has not moved
at a count of seven, now. >> Eight. >> Owens at a count of eight,
has not moved. Now, he barely. Kevin Owens rolled off the stage,
and to his feet. [NOISE]
>> Come on. [INAUDIBLE]
>> Roman can’t believe it, but what a crafty move by Owens. And it is nothing short of miraculous
that Kevin Owens was able to regain, any sort of base,
let alone remain in this battle. [NOISE]
>> Last match standing, for the Universal Championship continues. I think Owens may have just burned
his arm on that light there. >> Kevin doesn’t have any
idea where he’s at right now. >> Come on. [NOISE]
>> You’re right, Corey, Owens is just trying to. >> Kevin’s running on instinct and
instinct alone, what is in Roman’s hands? >> Take the cobwebs, and now Reigns. [NOISE]
>> You’re right, Kevin has no idea where he is. [NOISE]
>> Roman Reigns now has- >> See, I can’t quit. [NOISE]
>> There’s no way I could go home if I quit. >> Come one. [NOISE]
>> Roman has a pair of handcuffs in his left hand. >> I think I thought that’s what
it looked like, and now Reigns and Owens again exchanging blows. [NOISE]
>> And Roman with the advantage. >> Owens just being
bludgeoned at this point. [NOISE]
>> Still some fight. [NOISE] >> Come on, what are you doing? Come on. >> Kevin Owens does not
want to be handcuffed, and that’s what Roman Reigns was trying to do. And now Roman Reigns banged into the
stanchion there, and now Kevin Owens stop. >> Reigns is down. >> How the hell is Owens still doing this? [NOISE]
>> We’re never gonna get an answer to that, Cole, I mean, but the fact is
Kevin Owens is still in this battle. >> Right, you talk about hearts,
heart and guts and resilience, but Kevin Owens has got that and more,
and now he’s got the handcuffs. [NOISE]
>> Come on, enough guys, do this again,
can we do this again? Hey, all right [INAUDIBLE], Come on. [NOISE]
>> My goodness, it all comes full circle,
Kevin Owens, Kevin Owens. He just handcuffed Roman Reigns,
he’s handcuffed Roman Reigns, Reigns is trapped. And Corey, I don’t know if Roman can
make it to his feet from that position. Kevin Owens handcuff him so
low on a stance in there, I don’t think that race can make it to
his feet, on the count of seven, now. >> Kevin Owens is gonna
steal the universal title. >> Roman Reigns, wait a minute,
at a count of nine, Roman Reigns just grabbed the official and
slammed him into steel. The official couldn’t complete his talent,
and a low blow by Reigns. >> My God, Corey,
Kevin Owens in The championship one. >> What else could possibly happen? >> Reigns was gonna be counted out,
he couldn’t make it to his feet by ten, cause he’s trapped. And Reigns grabbed the official,
slammed him into the steel, the official could not complete his count. >> It was desperation
of the highest order. >> The officials at
a count of nine right now. [NOISE]
>> And boom, right into the steal, Reigns saving his Championship. >> That’s exactly what that was,
it was all about self preservation. >> My God, and now Paul Heyman. [NOISE]
>> Trying to. [NOISE]
>> They’re trying to get the handcuffs on hook, I believe Heyman has a key of some
sort, he’s got something down, yeah, key. He’s trying to trying to
hook the handcuffs here, there’s a new official out who’s now
counting to the count of five, account of. >> If you’re Roman Reigns, you’re
thanking God for Paul Heyman right now. [NOISE]
>> Reigns is still trapped. >> If it’s illegal, if it’s unsavory, Paul
Heyman is who you want in your corner, no doubt about that, but
Kevin Owens is regaining his composure. [NOISE]
>> Roman now able to get his at least one foot underneath him, I think this
is gonna count as a vertical base. [NOISE]
>> As Heyman struggles to unhook the handcuffs
tethering The Universal Champion. >> Yeah, and
range is back to his feet, so again, any count would have been
waved off to this point. But the fact is Reigns is still
trapped as Paul Heymon tries to to get the the handcuffs unhooked,
and finally does. And thanks to the Paul Heyman
unloosening the handcuffs, and now Roman Reigns of the Guillotine. Kevin Owens still out of source,
but now it’s nap time. [NOISE]
>> A Guillotine. >> Reigns looking to squeeze the breath
out of his Challenger, this one’s over. >> Locked in by Roman Reigns. [NOISE] >> Kevin Owens is fading, KO is fading, Roman Reigns with a Guillotine locked in. [NOISE]
>> Kevin Owens is out. >> You can count to 50 at this point. >> Two. >> But both men are still down,
Reigns is exhausted, Owens is out cold, the officials at a count of four. And now at a count of five,
Roman Reigns struggling back to his feet, but Kevin Owens Corey has not moved. Owens has been choked out, and Roman Reigns will retain
as the last man standing. >> Here is your winner, and still, The Universal Champion, Roman Reigns. [MUSIC] >> It was as physical and
as brutal as we expected. [MUSIC] >> It was exactly what
The Universal Champion promised. [MUSIC] It took some ingenuity from Roman Reigns. [MUSIC] He almost lost the title before he grabbed
the official, knocked the official out, so the count could not move to ten. [MUSIC]
