Jim, thank you. Welcome to the Womaker Trophy presentation. It has been a tremendous week resulting in a worldclass champion. We are joined this evening by the executives and the officers of the PJ of America and Quail Hollow Club. It is now my honor to introduce the president of the PJ of America, Don Ray Jr. Don, you have a pretty important presentation to make right now. Certainly do. Thank you, Amanda. On behalf of the PJ of America, I want to say thank you to the Carolina’s PGA, the over 3,000 volunteers that made this week just amazing. The Quail Hollow members and staff, their hospitality was just off the charts, the city of Charlotte and the great state of North Carolina. And I would say the most spectacular spectators in sport were here this week cheering on. I’m also really happy. I’m here with the PJ of America’s Reach Foundation. And I’m here with our junior leaders. I’m here with the veterans of PJ Hope. I’m here with the fellows of PJ Works. On behalf all of them and the 31,000 PJ professionals. I am here and ready to present our champion who beat the strongest field in golf. And when I give him the water maker trophy, I think I might tear up a little bit. So, it is my honor and a privilege to announce Scotty Sheffler as the 2025 PJ Champion. Good job. Well done. Good job. [Music] Don, Thank you so much, Scotty Sheffller. That was a hardfought battle today. What were you fighting on the front nine that you figured out and you overcame for such a dominant performance to claim your third major championship title? Yeah, I felt uh I don’t know. I mean, I just kept hitting it left. Um you know, it was I knew it was going to be a challenging day. you know, finishing off a major championship is always difficult and I did a good job of uh staying patient on the front nine and um you know, I didn’t have my best stuff up, but I kept myself in it and you know, I stepped up on the back nine and had a really good uh good nine holes and um you that’s about it. Most relatable comment ever by world number one. We all just hit it left sometimes. We don’t know what’s going on. We’ve seen you slip on two green jackets. We have now just watched you hoist your first WMaker trophy. What’s the significance of claiming the second leg in this major championship circuit and what does it mean to you to get number three? Well, I’m just I’m just really proud of the way we fought this week. Um, you know, I was battling my swing the first couple days. Uh, I didn’t have as good of a prep week as I would have hoped to and um, you know, it was it was a battle out there for four days and Teddy did a really good job of keeping me in it and um, Randy helped me figure some stuff out with my swing and you know, Martis helped get my body right and it was it was a real team effort this week and uh, you know, I’m proud of the the whole squad and I’m looking forward to celebrating this one. We know for you family is over everything. Randy Smith, who you just mentioned, a PGA golf professional, has been your coach since you were 7 years old. He is family to you. He was really emotional watching you win this one. What does it mean to win it in front of him and what has he meant to you, not just in golf, but in life? Yeah, that’s uh it’s tough to really put into words what what what um what Randy means to me, but he’s a special man. And you know, he’s taught me everything about the game of golf. And um this is a a pretty cool moment for both of us. And um yeah, I don’t I don’t really know how to put into words, but you know, it’s kind of like uh he definitely is family to me. He’s kind of like uh I always described him as the fun uncle growing up. I could ask him some stuff. my dad. I wouldn’t necessarily ask my dad. And you know, he he taught me a lot more than just the game of golf. And um you know, I’m looking forward to celebrating with us this one with him. Incredible victory. These fans want to see it one more time. Scotty Sheffller, hoist that WMaker trophy and enjoy your first PGA Championship victory, Jim. I guess he can’t be great at everything. That happens. We’ve seen it. Moragawa and others, but it belongs to him now. What a champion. That was just incredible. Awesome scenes, not just down the stretch from Sheffller when he dominated holes 14 through 18 to just take a firm grip on this championship, but it feels like order has been restored. He continues to be the bar that every other player out there aspires to be. What a time for the game. Rory at Augusta, Scotty and Charlotte at Quail Hollow, proving once again you should never underestimate the power of a childhood dream. It’s all he ever wanted to be. It’s exactly what he is right now. A son, a husband, a father, and a champion golfer. Lee Travino won this championship twice. I saw him recently and he relayed the story of seeing Scotty as a young boy, 7, 8, 9 years old out at Royal Oaks Country Club in Dallas out there in 100°ree heat, always practicing and playing with long pants on. Well, everyone else was in shorts. So, he walked over and said, “Hey, young man, why are you playing in pants in this heat?” He said, “Because they wear pants on the PGA Tour, and that’s what I want to do one day. I want to play out there. And I want to win. He continues to win again and again. Boy, he slammed that hard enough to leave an imprint in his 18th green. And he is leaving an imprint in the annals of golf history. He is the king of the Queen City of Charlotte. He is the major champion, the number one player in the world. Scotty Shepard, congratulations. is the winner at the PGA Championship. [Music]

  1. Was waiting for Scheffler's first big win of the year, and glad he got it here. Proved even more why he's the World No. 1 this weekend. Congrats, Scottie!

  2. Excited for Scottie to hopefully get the Grand Slam in the next few years. It was funny to watch the lid coming off though 😂. He 1000% left a huge mark to the game of golf. Looking forward to watching you in the US Open in Torry Pines soon!

  3. Great win to Scottie, great role model. She is disgraceful wearing work out pants at this event? My gosh get someone more professional.

  4. Well deserved win for Scotty. However the ORGANIZERS of the PGA CHAMPIONSHIP could do alot better with regards to putting out content. Of all the 4 majors, your TV / Youtube coverage is the poorest of all by far. No proper highlights of the day's action and minimal Youtube free to air content. Please improve. I'm based in India and the only option we have is to subsribe to Fancode which itself is lacking in very many respects.

  5. Winning with an even par is a statement to Shefflers first 3 rounds, but also that the sport needs some consistent stars/ challengers. The guy said it: “ I just kept hitting it left”
Everyone on leaderboard who had the chance, shit the bed the final round

  6. I called it, not that it matters but i played with some old men couple days ago.. i said i have Scottie winning and i belive Rahm is going to show up aswell. im not a betting man but it feels good to guess right sometimes 😀 hahah! good job Scheffler

  7. Nobody id rather win a major in my home town. Im so happy to have gotten to see him win here. What a day.

  8. Scheffler has emerged as a great champion no doubt, but he was lucky to win the PGA. Even the TV announcers kept harping on it. Saturday his tee shot went WAY right into the treets and prob. OB except that it kicked back into the fairway! Sunday he pulls his drive left into the trees but it catches the cart path and rolls all the way out of the trees up to near the green for an easy chip!
