Bryson de Chambo is with us now at the 107th PJ Championship. We just have a couple minutes here so we’ll jump right into questions. Anybody? Mark Bryson, I just talk about the rounds. Sum it up compared to yesterday. Was a weird weird day today. Much like yesterday, I felt like I was playing good, just not getting anything out of it. Today was a little bit better on some of the holes. Uh still got some weird breaks out there. That’s what this golf course does to you. And it’s tricky. The wind kind of is swirling. Um, but for the most part, I I felt pretty good. Um, not my best, not my best driving, although I’m hitting it really far right now, which is great. Uh, wedge play needs to be cleaned up a little bit. And, um, yeah, take take more advantage of the the par fives and short par4s for me. Like 14. Bryson, um, in a good position going into the weekend. What sort of score do you think’s out there at the weekend with conditions improving and the weather getting better as the week’s gone on? It depends on where the pens are. Um, the pins have been mostly on top of crowns this week, which has made it a very difficult test of golf. You have to have your irons super precise this week, which we all know how good my wedges are. So, uh, that’s makes it a little more difficult for me. That’s okay, though. And, uh, it’s a great test. I just got to have my putting a little little bit more on and, um, uh, keep playing the way I am. I mean, it easily could be seven, eight under right now or, you know, I could be even par. So, uh, just keep keep moving along and I think, uh, 65 64 is out there. Homer shot it out there today and I definitely saw it out there. I just didn’t accomplish it. We’ll wrap it up with Doug and then James here. When you Bryson, when you talk about weird breaks, is that mostly on the ground or in the air? It’s in it’s [Music] in a little bit of the air for sure. And then like today just on on nine, I hit it down the left hand side. Had a little bit of a draw and it bounced into the rough and was sitting up and I just went under it a fraction and hit the top of the face and came out dead. Uh really regret not just sit spending 10 more seconds just to look at it and go, “Okay, I need to choke down a little bit on that second shot.” And um it look good by the eye, huh? It looked good to your eye just the way it was sitting. Yeah. Yeah. It was just too high. It was sitting up high and I went underneath it just a little bit. 14 had a weird bunker lie. It was on a bit of a downs slope in the front of the bunker and it just just weird golf stuff. It happens all the time and um hopefully I get a couple more breaks tomorrow. Do you ever look back at what went right today break-wise? Oh yeah. Not like great shot, but but a nice balancer. Yeah, like number number four. Number four, I pushed it a little right. The wind died, but it stayed up in that little front right section. Made birdie. Um, two, I thought I hit a perfect drive as well. Um, just hit it aimed it too far left, caught the trees, and went down in the pine straw. Um, 17. Talking about good breaks. Uh, I’m trying I’m trying to think. Um, I mean, there really wasn’t many today, actually. I’m sorry. I wish I could say there was. Darn it, James. Uh, tomorrow. Bryce, we were talking to Max earlier and he he sort of brought up that he feels like at times when he’s speaking with the media, his openness can kind of be an issue for him and and maybe not a strength. I’m just wondering if that has ever happened to you. Uh, I’m sorry, I’m trying to understand the question. Say it again. like uh Max Max was saying that that basically when he is speaking to the media, his openness, his willingness to kind of like show bear himself really people could be weakness. I wouldn’t know that at all. Yeah. No, I mean, look, I think it’s I think I think it’s important the way it’s presented, you know, um coming from a a light-hearted position. Um sometimes the openness can be scary and I commend Max for being that way and I think people should respect him for that. Um, I was very much like that early on and um, I’m a little more kind of um, focused and on what I’m going to say, what I what I intend to say now. But I think it’s it’s great the the more players that we can have that are more open out here, I I think that’s that’s only going to benefit the game of golf. Um, I I think once you see how much good we actually can do for the game and what we’re trying to do for the game, um, I hope people can see that for the light that it is. Uh, and I commend Max for doing that. Um, for me, I mean, yeah, you can you can say there there’s been times where I’ve been too open and, you know, now it’s it’s it’s a matter of just showing more of just who I am. Thanks for your time, Bryson. Appreciate it. Thanks.

  1. Why is it cool for bryson to play both tours. He's doing a PGA interview in liv outfit 😂😢. Wesley Bryant get suspended for playing in a yt liv match..

  2. Rory skipped the media press conference the last two days. What a soft weak little man! Bryson is the only reason I watch golf today

  3. People talking about maturity dont understand the half of it. This guy needs a new LIV deal and if he cant get a decent contract then he wants back in the PGA because he wont have anywhere to play. He doesnt want to waste away on LIV like most of these other guys are. 😅

  4. Max is correct because the journalist vultures will take what you say and twist it to fit a narrative they want to push🙄

  5. Last week while most of the field was prepping for the Championship, Bryson flew a 12 year old boy from middle Tennessee to Texas to golf a round together.
Evan has stage 4 cancer and decided to stop any further stages of treatment.
    His favorite golfer is Bryson.
Bryson surprised him with the trip and they hung out for the day. No cameras, no media other than Evan’s family.
They played a round of golf together as Evan fought through the pain he’s been experiencing.
Bryson told him “never give up. You don’t know what God has for you.”
This week Evan decided to go for the next round of treatments based on Bryson’s advice.

Just something cool that not many people know about.

    GO BRYSON!
