What’s the real difference between amateur golfers and professionals? The connection, direction, and length of the right arm. In today’s video, we’re going to show you one simple move that changes everything. So, people, the long right arm, the delivery position. How important is this move? Seeing this with so many of the tool players, so many of the world’s best ball strikers, an area that’s just not looked at enough. the long right arm with a great angle in this wrist, giving players a guarantee to strike the ball more effectively. And unfortunately, what we’re seeing with amateur golfers is turning with the high right arm, the death move, and it’s just affecting so many people, guys, to get to this long right arm position. There are one to two moves, simple, basic moves that we have to do. And we’re going to get stuck into that right now. All right, Craig. We’re going to talk about the length and direction in just a little bit with a really cool drill that we’re going to show. But let’s start with the connection piece. Yeah. Right now, the essential move. And it’s just amazing that we don’t look at this. We’ve got picture after picture. We got the facts on the right arm. We’ve seen all the best players doing this. And am golfers seriously know nothing about it. So, let’s have a talk about this because it really is the elephant in the room. We got to get in there and discuss this move. Now, when we’re seeing with amateur players, we’ll see them turning and leaving their arms up and widening the swing. So, there’s no real pulling effect. There’s no real pulling sensation at the top. And when you turn like this and leave your arms up, most of the time you’re going to be hitting the wrong side of the ball or you’re going to be using standing up compensation moves to hit the golf ball. Now, what we need to do is to reconnect. I’ll just show you from this side here. I think it’s essential to get inside the lag wall. something that you guys would, I imagine, not have seen before. Getting up to the top of the swing, there’s going to be a little bit of shift over and then pulling this arm in and getting it into the side. This is this reconnection. So, there’s for the masses of the people out there. I think this is important to to realize for well over 90% of golfers, you’re going to need some sort of pulling effect here rather than leaving the arms up. Perhaps if they’re looking at it to a professional, they’ve already got it in there. They don’t need to overexaggerate this, right? But to get this right arm to reconnect back into the side, just sitting into this position, pulling it down is how you store up your angles is how you’re going to stay down and it’s how you’re going to get that compression and that shaft land that you really need after we reconnect the arm. We have to learn how to reextend that through the ball. But there’s two key pieces Craig and I are going to show you next as to how we do that. So people, let’s have a look at this trail arm position here. We see that it’s pointed slightly over the golf ball. Now, we’re seeing this by so many of the world’s best hitters. But to get here, there’s a couple of things we need to do. Now, we’ve got an unbelievable drill coming up shortly. But for, I would say, the masses of the people when we’re looking at the amateur players, club golfers, getting to the top of the swing, most people have more success by reconnecting, but also the direction of the arms here is essential. Starting the arms down slightly in this direction. Getting the arms to start more in this direction. This going to help us bring our arms and hands down very close to that right leg. Leaving the arms up and coming in this direction. We’re hitting really the wrong side of the golf ball. And this drill that we’re going to show you to get this length of arm, this delivery position into this slot is going to blow you away. Let’s have a look at that now. So, how do we get the connection of the arm, the direction of the arms, and the length of that all at the same time? Craig and I are going to show you a three in one drill right now. So, guys, what a drill this is. It’s just a a wonderful way to set off a great chain reaction in your golf swing and feel some of the moves here. Now, what you can see is I’ve got a long ride arm, but I’ve also got a really strong or a big angle in that trail wrist here. We can see this right angle. The hands are positioned here close to this right leg. And if you can get this club and just turn this club head in just a little bit. From here, what we’re going to do is we’re going to swing back and hit it. And I’ll tell you what we then do through the golf ball. Long right arm. We learned 50% visually. Look down at your hands. Picture that. Feel that move. And then move through the golf ball. Now from here, guys, swing back and move through again. And they say that when we make a movement and the next movement within 6 to 7 seconds, they estimate that we have a 70% feel left over from that last swing, helping us to rewire and refire. This is a fantastic drill for everybody. Doesn’t matter what level that you are at. It’s just a great way to feel every single move in your swing. All right, guys. This is a video you’re going to want to watch and rewatch. It’s so darn good. Let’s just go over that one more time. Using the drill that Craig showed you to be able to connect the trail arm, get the direction of the arms correct and that long right arm in front is so darn important to learn how to do that in motion through the ball as we reextend. And you’ll see all the good ball strikers having that long right arm in front of the right leg and then re-extending that trail arm about 45 pass impact. Hope you enjoyed today’s video, guys. Another great video Eric.
Please clarify one important point- should the angle of the right wrists be pointing slightly down as in palm slightly down, straight ahead or palm facing the ground?
I would be interested in person training. Will there be a discount for high handicappers? 😅
Craig from World Class Golf ⛳.
Really enjoyed seeing Craig on your video. He's always instituted tons of knowledge and great to see you two working together!
When the hands are positioned by the tail leg with extended left arm, are you pushing down on the butt of the club while pulling up with the cupped trail hand/arm?
Thank you. Great golf tip.
Brilliant
Excellent presentation and explanation! Im definitely going to use this drill. Thank you.
Interested
I would be interested in attending the golf school. Not sure if its feasible for me to get to PA. But if you are ever in the South Carolina/ Myrtle Bch area, that would be great
Where would the school be
One of the best explanations and drills!
Eric another great golf tip video that really explains things simply
It’s almost like a combination of your early extension videos that you’ve done before and this one compliments that extremely well
I’m 68 years old and love playing golf. I have to accept that. I can’t play it at the level that I used to but your videos have helped me to recover and simplify the golf swing. Thanks for that. Eric appreciated.
❤
I have been practicing this but can’t keep the parallel ie at 9:00 In the downswing. it lands more at 8:00. Too much hip slide??
Any tips
I don't understand "long right arm" The left arm looks long and straight. The right arm looks short and slightly bent. Am I missing something?
Me gusta.
Tried this at the range yesterday. Really helped me get solid contact. Also helped me stop swinging ‘at’ the ball with my hands and arms.
In my brain it feels like there is no way I can actually hit the ball from that position, but I was getting better strikes even with half speed swings.
Love it! Thanks. Sometimes I think about this new piece and then forget the body turn mechanics. How can we add this drill to maybe one body turn drill? Would love to hear more about the class the 2 of you would offer.
Yes!
Heck yeah who wouldn't love some great golf tips and tutorials. Went from shooting 130s to 100s.
Got more to learn still
I'll take a trip
Yes on the golf school
Yes to school interest
Great video! I’m trying this out tomorrow morning.
