The BEST Shots Ever at Quail Hollow Club on the PGA TOUR
This is where his tan ended up. This was an eight iron. How about it, Nick? Well, yeah, I was saying ball at least 6 in above his feet. Hoisted up 190 plus yards. I It was a career shot just to aim to hit the ball exactly where he was aiming. Forget the pin. Just a moment ago from 57 ft for Eagle at the seventh hole. Tiger Woods one behind VJ Singh and Steve Stricker. However, he takes the lead. lagging up for a par four. How about making it good? He does indeed. 10 under P. Welcome to the big time, Rory [Applause] Maroy. This is the right side of the green. That looked like it got a good kick to the left and it’s running out. Raj, is it Everest? Beautiful shot by Thomas. That sounds about right to me. Oh, there’s the shot. There’s the shot, Ricky. It was doable and he pulled it off. Yes. Number one for Ricky. And what a way to do it. Birding the 18th hole at Quail Hollow. The left center of the green if it’s enough. What a beautiful swing that’s going to funnel down some. Are you kidding me? Two iron match on the line from 239. [Applause] Maybe a little outside 210 yd in down the hill. He’s not carried anywhere near Max. Oh yeah. A long eagle holo. Are you kidding me? Not taking much time here, Cole. No, this is a perfect lie. Sitting up slight ups slope. Very doable. textbook. Doable as it make? Yes. You kidding me? Very doable. Tough to get a curve out of this rough. Oh my word. It’s the second time, second day in a row he’s landed into the penalty area and it’s bounced out. This is going to be a super flop here. Very fast on the green going away from him. Look at this guy go. Easy. Easy. Just seen that movie too many times, Justin. Right for Tony Feno, he’s got to come up and over that seam and then it’s going to surf the crest of the wave and then turn left as it gets to the hole. Tony Feno has the first birdie of the day here at 17. And it comes from off the green. 18 Gary Woodland. Well, we haven’t really checked in with Woodland for a while. Yeah, this a moment ago. I wonder why. Oh, I wonder. Take that. As a rule, an outstanding iron player. This is launched high. Cutting a little left to right. Boy, it’s good looking shot. Is it ever? Oh boy. That might go in. Sam Burns from 80 ft. You really got to get some speed on this coming up the hill. Got to whack it to get it there. Looks pretty good. Looks real good. Really good. Meanwhile, oh, Bill Hos from the other side. Couple of Wake Forest guys. There you go. That’s how you do it. No, bouncy off the rocks. Give the Give the boys some fun. Shoffley’s second at the par five from 219. This is right at it. Terry say that again. Michael nearly did. Steve Flesh playing the opening hole. This from the bunker. I got a tricky little front left hole location. Cannot go. There you go. Tricky, you say? You are going back up the hill. So, this is doable for Keegan. Yes, it is very doable. I have more than one way to make a birdie. BK, aim it out there in the back right corner of the green. 142 ft of apex. This should land soft enough. Terrific line. Oh my goodness. What a shot from Jason Day. You nearly fell out your tarian. Very close. Just nudge it up there carefully and finishing in style. There’s your [Applause] champion. Love the pink ribbon today. Happy Mother’s Day to you all. This was just moments ago for Richie Warensky. Good ball, man. Good shot. Oh, and what a shot. Hits the flag. Leaves himself 15 to 20 foot for the Eagle. Steep down the other side. So, little bump and run. Yeah, he’s wise to that. This looks really good. Looks in. Oh my goodness. Tim Furick with an eagle. Nine iron for Xander as well. Sky high right at the pin. Oh yeah, what a shot. And now Jason Bone, he’s only one shot back. Got to get both of the par fives on the back nine. Got to get them, especially with 16, 17, and eight. Oh, let me go back and nice. That’s how you get it right there. Tough hole here. 198 yds to the hole. Mark Hubard trying to work a little draw in there on a good line. Now it’s going to release. Green slopes that way. Yeah, count it. How about that T-shot, Mark Hubard? That is the second toughest hole on the golf course today. What a shot that was. These aprons cut down grain. Should be a little bit of a check in that. And there it is. That’s two all outs early this morning for the Americans. Sheffer did it earlier and now Homer does it. And the breeze was blowing then. He’s 221 yds out. You think if you think Phil’s shot was his shot of the day, check this one out. Can’t be. Got to be just close. thing. It’s only the third two in the history of this event. The last one back in 2013 from Gary Woodland. Wow. Stuffs it inside of him. Beautiful shot. This for Birdie. Flag out. Come on. He did it again. Now it’s gotten ridiculous. Got a great read. Let’s go, Rick. It’s always good to watch your playing partner. Oh, he did. Oh, outdid him. Come on down. That’s out of his world. He’s coming from across the green. Going to carry some some speed with it. A little right to left. That has a chance. Oh, how about that touch? Oh, another one goes in from off the green. The Americans have made a couple and Seawwood Kim. 207 yds. Five iron up the hill. Yeah, up the hill. It’s really club up the hill. But this is an unbelievable opportunity. Oh, if he can hang up a number. Yeah. Let the rest of them play this green mile. Wow. Look at this. Three feet for Eagle. Boy, this could be really good. This looks great. Just needs a straight kick. Got it. Right at it. He’s going to turn left now. Keep coming. Keep coming. That is the shot of the duck. Hello. [Applause] Oh, wow. Well, Web, I would nominate that as shot of the day, but partner, you’re not going to win it. He makes his putt 22% of the time. One out of five, huh? Oh, it fell uphill into the hole. That’s Eagle Birdie. Birdie. Yeah. I gave it a slicing club face. Oh, and that was a beautiful bounce. This could be handy right here. This is amazing. Here we go. Wow. He’s just had three two tapins to a from a foot for Birdie and another one from there. Highlight. We’ll see that later on. Here is Harris English. This will be quick as it crests this ridge right about here. This is looking pretty good, Justin. Look at that. Stay up. Stay. But because the club face is open, the ball pops out where it should do. Love it. Ricky putting just like Chase did. Better speed. And he’s got the Eagle. Tommy Fleetwood here at the 10th. His third. There it is. Now up at the green, Rory Mroy. downhill and quick. That will roll out. Roll out. It’s beautifully judged. Oh my. Look at this. Do it. Do it. There you go. Yes. What a roller coaster. Beautiful. The result you would have expected. Wow. Yep. No, I didn’t expect it. Oh, come on, Terry. Not quite that. That wasn’t just a laxidasical line I drew down the green. That was absolutely pre precision. Oh, hello. Oh, come on. You must be joking. What? 25 ft of break played here by Rory Maroy. [Applause] And that roar just about blew out my right ear. That’s that back left bunker flag front right. Yeah, I would agree with that. That is a Yeah. Oh yeah. Is that a Ricky? Yeah, of course. Oh wow. 30 230 yards today. Hardest hole on the golf course. Stroke average 3.6. But Duffner almost makes an ace. Tap in birdie coming up. There’s only been one other birdie here today. Three others. That’s a six or higher. bunker on the right. We know about it. It’s about 305 yards away. Over it. Not anymore. It isn’t. Look at this one. He flew it. Oh my goodness. 364. He’s average 342 in this hole. Average. This is 514 yards. It’s against the wind. He hit a driver. Was that a wedge? It’s a gat wedge. Martin Flores and he went to Oklahoma six under at this point after the 67 on day one. Oh, I don’t need the putter caddy. Thank you. There it is. There it is. There it is. Hey, there you have it. Nice Eagle. I’ll get it for Eagle. Yes, a three. So, you’ve got to really trust your yardage that Harry Diamond walked off. That should lay it in on the right side of the green. Oh, really nice. Wow. What a shot by Rory Mroy. Wow. A five or a six iron or a nine iron, which is what he hit the first two days. Well, go. Why not? We haven’t had one of these yet today. It’s great to hit it over there. Got a fairway medal out here. Probably line, please. Wow. Oh my god. Almost dead from 257. Oh my. Ryan Palmer. Wow. In his 20th straight year on the PGA Tour. The Big Texan. What we got here, Colt? That’s eight iron on the way from 163. Going right at the hole. You’re not kidding. Wow. hops right by it. One of the best putters on the PGA Tour right here, Denny McCarthy at 17. Did he do it from there? Come on. [Applause] Very slow putt here. Easy to leave this one short. Oh, come on. I mean, that just sums up this stupid game, doesn’t it? One more time. Yes, indeed. How fantastic. Two buddies since they were kids get to share that magical moment.

No I beat you to it , I just didn't say anything 😂
I See A Whole Lot Of #GREATNESS Is Out On The #GREEN⛳ Today 💯 🏁 !
lol, the ducks were the highlight
I can't tell you how many times I replayed the swing at 9:27. Rory's swing is incredible.
8:35 I'm sorry, what did he say?!
Man, I love Xander's swing. What a great threesome we have for Thursday and Friday: Rory, and Scheffler, and Xander, oh my.
Anyone else miss Gary McCord?
It’s hard to believe that Tiger has only won once at Quail Hollow. This is Rory’s course and he’s the only player with a chance at this year’s Grand Slam. Jordan Speith has a hence to complete his career slam. Good luck gentleman!
Baker-Finch has built a great career as an announcer to go along with his Claret Jug.
"stuffs it inside of him"
