All right, friends. It’s that time once again. PGA Championship, second major of the year. And of course, we got a lot to dive into at Stocastic. We’re going to break down the players, the field, Quail Hollow, all this good stuff and try try to find ways to make a lot of money this week in the DFS streets. I want to welcome in to our channel here at Stoastic. Hopefully, you are along for the ride and you’re playing all sorts of DFS sports, but maybe you’ve just been searching out uh some PGA DFS advice and you came to the right place. We’ve got breakdowns, tools. You’re going to see them all in real time right now on this beautiful Wednesday morning. I’m Ben Resa. If you don’t know who I am, let’s dive right in, friends. If you’re not subscribed to the channel, hit the like button. Subscribe to the channel. We’re going to have some cool stuff later in the show, but you guys know the drill. I’m going to break down the field. We’re going to look at the prices, try to identify some values, and then we’ll talk about some of the lineup construction ideas. Uh, you know, what can it look like? Maybe we’ll play around with the single lineup simulator. I haven’t really decided that. Let’s get into it though right now. So, again, we saw Rory win the Masters. Obviously, me and millions of other people near and dear to my heart. Been picking Rory at the Masters for a decade now. Finally got that. So, where do we go from here? Rory is amongst the favorites as we know. Chefer is there as well. all the big names, Bryson, Xander, Rom, Morawa, all this good stuff. I’ll order by pricing. Before we dive into the pricing, though, let’s talk about what we’re dealing with. We’re dealing with an interesting wrinkle. So, I always find the Masters, the Masters is played at Augusta. We know that it’s always there. It’s the same situation when we have the other majors Oakman you know whatever the Marian I don’t know random courses Olympic fields it’s not the same because when you play you know look at the open championship they go to St. Andrews what, I don’t know, once once a decade, something like that when you’re in the rotation. So, you don’t get a lot of reps. But this is unique because Quail Hollow is the Wells Fargo Championship site. It was also the PGA in 2017. But that is a wrinkle that I think adds some I don’t want to say variance, but intrigue if nothing else into the event because we get to see a good amount of what’s going on year after year with these players. So that is that is something that again I just find kind of interesting kind of fascinating to this situation. We just have a lot more information on the course. Now what is the course par 71 about 7600 and change you need to drive the ball. Doesn’t mean you have to be a bomber. I do think bombers are at an advantage. If you told me I could design a golfer to attack quail hollow, I would have driving distance in my bag of tricks. But if you’re getting it out there and gaining strokes off the tea, you can do it in a variety of ways. You better be able to hit long irons. Even if you are a substantial driver of the ball, you need to hit your long irons. You need to be able to get it out there. It’s a it’s a major. So, I hate when I have to do this because I’m like, okay, you want to be able to drive it well. Got to hit your irons. Well, you need to scramble well and then you need to putt well. That sounds like you need everything, but you kind of do. Bermuda, you know, we’re in North Carolina. It’s been raining. I don’t know. I don’t think there’s going to be any major weather factors, but could make it play a little softer, a little longer, maybe furthers the advantage that the bombers have. All little things that we need to know. I think tea time stacks are always in play. Not because we think there’s going to be a wave, but because when you correlate, it’s always a good idea. So, you can do some of that. Let’s get into the field. The strongest field ever. Apparently, everyone’s here. No, no doubt about it. Okay, Scotty Sheffller, $13,400. So, couple things. We just saw him win by like 30 at the CJ Cup. Uh, poor V EVVR. He gained comical amounts, 13 strokes with the approach. Sheffller is Sheffller. He’s been, it’s not even been that impressive of a year, and yet he’s a perpetual top 10 finisher. He was fourth at the Masters. Uh, he’s great. We all know that. He’s the favorite. 134 positive. If you want to play him, we have dynamic pricing. And what I mean by that is the pricing goes all the way down into the 5K range. So, you can play weird combinations that you wouldn’t be able to on a normal week. The bad news is if you play a $13,400 golfer, you’re going to have to find some of those value plays and you probably omit the rest of the big names. And if you don’t, then you’re you’re punting four times. Basically, you’re using around half your salary, uh, total salary with the big two if you go that route. So, it’s Sheffller. He’s projected going to be popular. Obviously, he’s got the highest raw projection. The leverage score is not great, but that is typical a lot of times with these expensive guys. I don’t read a ton into that. Similar with Rory. Now, Rory is a $1,200 difference. I think that’s a little too much to be honest. I would prefer Rory. I think the field prefers Rory. As you can see, he looks like he’s going to be a little more popular than Sheffler. Similar concepts, high floor, we all know that. Rory’s also got, you know, he’s made Quail Hollow his personal playground at various times in his career. He’s playing great golf. He’s got a lot of people, me included, uh have thought if he ever won the Masters, it would open and unlock him to maybe go on the second tear like we saw a decade ago. He also won the players. like quietly Rory’s having maybe not quietly but it could be a historic season if he wins another one or two uh that’s going to be dangerous game don’t play I’m not playing them together I think that’s too much I will certainly play both of them uh you know individually in a ton of lineups we’re not breaking any news here Bryson maybe the guy that I’ve heard the most about on the betting side 115 he’s about like 9 to1 shop it if you’re going to bet him you’ll be joining everyone else in the world. Uh, except me. I didn’t I didn’t bet Bryson yet and I might. I just haven’t. Bryson’s awesome. Off the tea. If he can take apart Quail Hollow, that’s going to be an asset. We’ve seen him do this at US Opens. Uh, obviously Pinehurst comes to mind where he just simply said, you know what, I’m I don’t care if I’m playing from the rough, I’ll play from the rough from 100 yards away. And that mentality certainly served him well. He’s also going to be popular. more of a boom bust just because I think when Bryson gets off track, it gets a little haywire just the way he plays. But there’s no doubting any of them. I think for me, you can call him a big three, maybe a big two and a half. Bryson’s a little of a drop off, but then it starts to, you know, not drop off a cliff. I think Abear is a little more unknown and you can see the ownership. I don’t know if he’ll only be that low. I think that’s a little rich and this will update, but he’s not going to be even near these other guys. He has not played well. He was seventh at the Masters, but that’s his only top 20 or better since Genesis. Wow, that was a long time ago. The injuries or whatnot, I don’t know. The truest championship, he lost four strokes with the approach and with the putter. That is going to be a tournament ccentric play if you go there. I actually think he’s got a decent setup for his game here, but he’s got to be the least priority for the field and probably for me as well in the range. You’ve got Xander, Morau, and Rahm to round out the 10K options. No real strong takes here. I think Xander’s, you know, rounding back into form little by little. I’m not, you know, we saw him get this uh last year. I would have him behind the other two. I prefer Rom. Part of it is the price. The $500 difference between him and a guy like Xander. It does matter. I like Rahm’s game for this. I wish I was seeing Rahm play on the PGA Tour each week. does make it hard to know what the hell’s going on when he’s playing in these live fields. It doesn’t mean that he can’t. I mean, look at Bryson uh can’t compete or anything like that, but I do think it makes it a little tricky. I’m going to I’m going to keep an eye on that ownership with him as well. Uh I was hoping that we could get him maybe a little less owned. That might remain to be seen, but I do think JT will suck up a lot of that ownership. He could be the most popular player. He’s got a lot of different things from the Quail Hollow history here 2017 to playing great golf to finally winning uh just a couple weeks ago. Follows it up last week. Plays really good golf at the truest. Uh he gained strokes across the board. He’s gained strokes putting in five straight. All of this he’s sub 10k. I know that’s it’s 99, but just even psychologically, there’s a lot to like with Justin Thomas. He’s going to be really popular. You can the reason he’s gonna be really popular is all that also you could start with him or he’s your second man in that is always a price point that gets a lot of ownership for that reason. You could go Rory JT Sheffller JT Bryson JT or you could go JT Neman JT Neandi JT can’t lay speed that type of build where you go balance and you have a big three like that. Let’s talk about these 9K range. Havland, Brooks, Neman, Canlay, Decki, Speed, Lowry, Fleetwood, and Tai Hatton. It’s a good range, no doubt. Uh, again, ownership’s going to correlate to this. Havlin’s not going to be popular. Brooks is not going to be popular. Speed is not going to be popular. How low owned, it remains to be seen. Again, keep an eye on it. I like Deki. If Decki’s sub 10%, this is a spot that I will definitely be over on. He’s got the game for this. He’s played well at Quail Hollow. He doesn’t mind tough conditions. He played well last week and he just quietly melted on Sunday. Uh we know Hideki’s got the iron play. He is quietly or maybe everyone knows this and I always say quietly. He’s one of the best around the green players in the world. He might be the best around the green player in the world. His putter is a work in progress. It always is. We need him to get back to better driving, more consistent driving. If he does that, Decki can win this. I bet him at 45 to1. I like that spot for him. I like the spot for Kantlay as well. He’s also 45 to1. He also is playing well and he also was there last week and then melted on Saturday. Then he stormed on Sunday when he had no chance. Came in fourth. He has gained off the tea and with the approach in five straight events. He has lost around the green in four though. That’s what needs to improve. He’s also been, I think, underwhelming in majors on a whole. He’s got five career top 10s, I believe. That’s just not good enough. Kantlay is really good. He should have more there. Uh, Neman is always an interesting option. Obviously, the live hype around him and it’s just still not happening in majors. 29th at the Masters. Thought there was some progress. It was mostly putting, but it’s just not good enough for these price tags. I’m probably gonna have him in the pool, but he’s certainly behind JT, Kantlay, and Deki for May. Fleetwood, uh, he never wins as we know, but I think he makes sense here. He’s going to be popular. He’s going to be cash game viable. Hatton as well. Uh, I think he’s fine. A reasonable tag. No major stand for me here with these guys. I plan to have good exposure. Hatton’s leverage score grades out nice. So, that’s something I will take a look at. And it’s because again some of the ownership on these guys just not what the rest of the range is. 8K range coming up here right now. But I do want to mention a couple of things. Uh one obviously actually they kind of go together. So I’m just going to I’m going to loop them or lump them together because it’s great stuff. It’s a major. I couldn’t be more excited. Right now I’m on the data hub here at Stoastic. If you’re unfamiliar with what that is, it’s all part of that’s what it is. It’s the data. It runs our single lineup simulator, our contest generator, our pre-contest sim, postcontest sim where you can actually build out lineups and get real data into how the lineups are. You run the sims gives you the breakdowns. You run a single lineup generator and we can build some lineups later in this. If you want to check this out, 75% off any package. So find the one that works for you. If you want to sign up for a month for for the full works, more power to you. If you want to just sign up for the week and you want to go with a light package, obviously it’s not going to cost you nearly as much and you get a huge discount. More power to you. You know, proof of concept. Come and check it out. That’s what we wanted to do. We wanted all different types of players from the extremely serious to maybe some people who only build for the majors to have the ability to use these products, to use these tools. And if you want a little incentive, got a message the other day. Uh, obviously this NBA one is cool, but for me, just being honest, seeing someone have a what they called a a life-changing moment in the PGA streets with our tools is awesome. Uh, I’ve been there before. You always wonder, am I ever going to win one of these big tournaments? I’ve been so close so many times. Ryan Schindler, $50,000 takedown. Uh, awesome. Just awesome. Congratulations to him. Uh, it’s just really cool. And honestly, there’s it’s an awesome feeling. So hopefully we see some of that this week as well. If you’re interested, the link is below. Come and check it out. And again, 75% off. I didn’t mention the code like in the code’s major. It’s on the screen. There you go. Uh here we go. Henley Day Wily Minw Cameron Smith Cory Connor Sunjam Patrick Reed Seraco who just wins everything. No surprise the ownership tells the tale. It’s not a good range. A lot of these guys are not going to be popular. Henley will get some. Cory Connors definitely will because he’s super reliable. He’s a cut maker. And when you’re in this range, a lot of people are looking for that, you know, T15. Uh, sign me up. What did he do at Truist? 11th. What do he do with the Masters? Eighth. What do he do with the players? Sixth. He gains off the tea automatically. Cory Connor is playing quality golf and probably will continue. Can we find some pivots off him? I think the dangerous pivot is Windam Clark. He is a wild man. He’s got the skills, but I think the miscut equity is gigantic. Minmu Lee similar in that vein. I like Sunjay. He’s 8,200. He’s not going to be in no man’s land, but I don’t believe he’ll be as popular as a guy like Cory Connor. So, it’s not just about popularity. That’s just a factor. Um Sunj’s played consistent golf. He hasn’t missed a cut since early March. When I when I say consistent golf, he’s also consistently losing with the Irons. That’s a problem. But the rest of it is good. Uh, off the tea, automatic, around the green, automatic. He can really putt. He rolls it on Bermuda. I like the spot for Sunjay. I expect a good showing from him. One of my more confident plays in this mid-range. It’s not a great range for me, though. Patrick Reed, I think you can always play. Straa is playing good golf. He’s going to get the bump because he just won. I’m fine with it. I don’t love it. I’ll be honest. Uh, I’m also a little behind the curve with Seraka. didn’t think he was this good. And he is. He is. It’s a blind spot for me. I’m more uh than willing to admit that. So, when you look at that, that’s fine. But to me, it’s not a good range. Rose could have, should have, would have at the Masters. He obviously tries to optimize for majors, and he does a pretty damn good job of doing that. Not going to be popular. You’ll get over with just a few percent. Daniel Burgerer. Let’s talk about what Daniel Ber’s been doing. Let’s talk about Daniel Burgerer at 7,900. So, he worked back from injury and certainly wasn’t getting it. You know, he needed some reps. Then in 2025, started to find it. You know, runner up at Waste Management. Uh made the cut at the players, came in 20th, made the cut at the Masters, came in 21st, third at Heritage, 11th at Truist. The irons are there. It’s happening for Burger. There’s no doubt this is a good spot for Daniel Burgerer. I like him. could be one of my uh core plays in this range. The Gala Ryan Fox, congratulations to him. Uh Maverick, Tom Kim, Seiwo, Burns, DJ is here. Okay, Max, Bobby Mack, and Fitzy. Another range. A lot of names, not a lot of ownership. A lot of big names who are not playing well. A lot of names who I think have been disappointing this year. Fitzy. Pretty pretty down year for a player of his caliber. Made the cut at the at the Masters. Came in 40th. Max, he struggled this year. Uh there’s no doubt about it. Came in 12th at the Masters, but he had missed five straight cuts before that. He was 70th Heritage. Not a lot happening there. Uh DJ, I mean, I don’t know what to do with him. Probably nothing. Missed the cut at the Masters. He might just be cooked. Uh, I’m not the only one thinking that. You know, it’s it’s a dangerous game. The price has come down a little bit, but I don’t know if I really want to allocate shares to any of these guys. I think Burns is actually fine. He rolls it on Bermuda. Prices come down to a reasonable number. I’m not the biggest Sam Burns guy. Uh, seems like a nice fella. I don’t know anything about him, but I just don’t love the game. I think he’s perpetually overowned. He is putting out of his mind, and that’s my biggest concern. That’s great on one hand, but if he hadn’t gained five strokes putting the last couple weeks, his results would look god awful. Uh, and so for me, give me Tony Feno, my guy. Tony Feno, I played him last week. He was actually, if you follow me on Twitter, Jazzrazbats, he was a guy I’m playing that you shouldn’t have. Uh, I always pick one of those type of dangerous guys. He was good. 15th gained off the tee, gained with the putter. He missed the cut at the Masters, and that was really disappointing. He missed the cut at the players. Uh, that was less disappointing, but he should be making all these cuts. I think he’s going to play pretty well here. I’m okay with this. He’s got plenty of experience at Wells Fargo. Not a great track record, I’ll be honest. But I don’t see anything with Quail Hollow that is a huge barrier to entry for a guy like Feno. I expect him to be ready to roll this week. We start to get, you know, into the low sevens. And this is where to me you have to start thinking about skill set stacks and what type of teams you’re building. So you look BI is down here. Keegan’s down here. Benon is down here. If you’re going off the tea, Benon, I mean he’s just been awesome off the tea. He’s really bombing it. If you’re going with like, I don’t know, putting uh you’re not going to go with him. you would go with Batia. I think pretty clearly if you’re going just straight ball striking right now, I think it’s pretty easily Keegan, who’s also strong off the TE for what it’s worth, but he’s gained in six of seven with the irons. He’s been Keegan like with the putter. He’s lost in seven of his last nine events. It hasn’t been good. So, you just need to find it doesn’t have to be everything, but to me, when I get down to these decisions, if I’m tweaking lineups or messing around with the single lineup simulator, I like to have guys that are kind of using the same skill set to attack the course, particularly with my cheap options. Uh Ricky Fowler, it’s not me. Full disclosure, you you might be saying, “Who the is he cooking the projections?” No, I’m not. We’ve got smart people that do that. Look at this leverage score. Okay, I can get down with this. I like Ricky. Played him last week at like 2% owned and although he fell back, he looked pretty good. Um I want to get over overdone. He’s got a great quail hollow history. That was a long time ago. That was a long time ago for Ricky. 15th last week though. And he finally gained with the putter and around the green in the same event. He hadn’t been doing that too frequently. In fact, he had only done that once in 2025. That typically was the hallmark of Ricky’s game. You know, you you give yourself chances and you roll it. I like this spot. I think this is a really good range for flyers. Ricky is a flyer. Cameron Young is a flyer to me. Uh both those guys make a lot of sense. Harris English is on the screen and we’ve dipped into the 6K range. Harris English is a flyer to me. He’s playing really good golf. If he can keep it together off the tea, the rest of his game is in really good shape. There’s no doubt about it. Uh he’s putting really well, his irons are fine. He has made strides off the tea. If he continues to do that, Harris English actually might be uh an important piece to me. Denny McPuts is right below him. Pendrith isn’t a off the tea guy if you’re looking for someone like that. So is Burmester. I know I’m jumping around here a little bit, but this is what we get in these type of ranges. You’re just going to have a lot of names with no ownership. Aaron Rise is going to be one of, if not the mo most popular player in this range. And I think that’s probably warranted. He has the least amount of questions, but I I I think it’s a range better for attacking big miscut equity, top 10 equity verse make cut equity. That’s just me. You do need six of six, of course. So, it’s a it’s a balance. And, you know, there’s obviously a lot of intricacies. If you play good, making the cut takes care of itself. Before we get to the cheap options, of course, I just want to mention again, come and check out what we’ve got going on. 75% off. The link is below. The code is major. Any PGA DFS package, weekly or monthly. You go, you click the link, you’re in business, and hopefully you turn that investment into some real opportunities to take down some big scores. If you have any questions on it, by the way, hit me up at jazzbats. I’m always happy to walk through what these tools can do and and what I use them for because I use these each and every week. I incorporate them right into my own process. Rasmus, uh, JJ Spawn, JTO, I think this is an interesting name. 6,400. So, we’re talking about, okay, I I I spent some money. I need some savings. JTO can do that. He’s a great putter. Really can roll it. He’s more of a guy that I think is poised to go really low than attack majors, but he made the cut at the Masters. He made the cut at the players. He’s a good player. Uh made the cut at the US Open last year. So, he he’s shown that he can get it done against strong fields. He has lost strokes on the approach in four straight. That is a little freaky, but he works around that pretty nicely in all honesty. And there’s not that much down here. Jake Knap 63. I had some sharp people on Twitter mentioned Jake Knap to me. He could be a 1enter and I’m fine with that. Keith Mitchell’s not going to be 25%. I think that’s a little much. Uh, and again, this will update where we set the stage and then we fine-tune as we go. If Keith Mitchell is 25%, that’s absurd and I won’t even come close to being overweight, but he’s not going to be. Uh, he is very cheap though. He obviously has to be in the conversation for first round leader because he does that every week and I refuse to bet it. And then I wonder why I didn’t bet it. Um, but that’s a story for another time. Kittyama kind of a random number generator. He pops up. He has big-time performances. We’ve seen him play good golf and he was good at the CJ Cup just out of nowhere. He had gone miscut, miscut, 33rd, miscut, 39th, miscut, and then he just came in fifth. I don’t know. That’s kind of what you get with Kittyama. Don’t love him, but I don’t like anyone in this range. My guy Bezes down here, simple story, he has the best short game of anyone down here. He has non-competitive ball striking. He I don’t know if he can survive with the ball striking. He’s not good off the tea or with his irons consistently. So, if you’re looking for a skill set stack and you say I want chipping and putting wizardry, I think Bez is in the conversation. If you’re looking for anything else, I don’t think he is. And now we bust down the door to the 5k range. There are players down here. There are playable guys. There’s no doubt. I don’t think you need to go down here, but you can. It’s not like where there’s random guys with no chance. These guys are going to make the cut. Some of them, a lot of them are going to miss, though. Lucas Glover has been killing me. I want to play him, but I don’t think I can do it outside of if I have a bunch of lotto teams. I can’t seriously allocate chairs to Lucas Glover. He’s just I loved him heading into the Masters, and he was terrible. Missed cut there. 61st at Heritage, lost six strokes putting, 66 at Truist, lost across the board. Tough sell for Lucas Glover right now. But we’ve got other names. Thunderbear, Thorburn, Olison 58. Kevin U is 5,800. He’s an interesting name. This is another guy. He doesn’t do everything great. In fact, he really can’t putt. He’s lost in seven straight events with the putter. He’s a really good, really good ball striker. One of the best in this range. Uh, and that travels, that translates, that’s a factor. Kevin U is worth potential shares. If you’re in a jam, if you play Sheffler, don’t be surprised if you see his name pop up on teams like that. EVR, another guy. I think he he mirrors what I just said about Kevin U. EBR is not the greatest player in the world, but he did just play great golf that he lost to Sheffler, but everybody did. He had a really good week. His ball striking numbers are very, very legitimate. And he’s 5700. That’s a name that you can work with. There’s no doubt about it if you’re in a jam. I Sheamus, this is a I want to be clear. This is a Jazz Raz special, so this could end horribly. Sheamus can’t putt right now, but I like the setup for him at this course. I think he’s a sneaky player. I will have some shares of him. There’s names down here. I’m going to try to avoid this. This is pretty bad. Now, we’re getting to like I don’t know why you’re playing. No offense, Elvis. Uh Larkin, Gross, all these guys you should not play. Uh the there’s a handful of them at the bottom. The PGA guys. Don’t I don’t think that’s necessary or a good idea at all. So, we went through the field. We have a couple minutes left. Let’s Let’s just I’m going to just yolo. I’ll show you the single lineup simulator. Again, it’s awesome. One of my favorite tools. You set the parameters of your contest. Uh we’re going for we’re going for a giant contest. Okay. I’m going to build out a lineup and we’re going to see what we’ve got here. I want to just show affordable players. All right. I’m going to go with the traditional Rory. I like Kantlay. And you can see average salary remaining. All that blah blah blah. I’m gonna take Ricky. I mentioned that he graded out pretty well. We’ll see who’s who’s grading out some value. Mackenzie Hughes Gman. Thunder Bear. I mentioned him as well. Or should I go Kevin U. Or should I go both? Look at this team already. This is very dangerous. Extreme Danger. Neman or Decki? I’ll go Nean. So, couple buttons. Clicked it out. Now, let’s see what happens. This could grade out anything, but this is what you do. You do this and in two seconds, you’re going to get an indication of what type of lineup you just made. Uh, and that’s what’s awesome about this tool. Again, all part of it, a small part of what the the Sims do if you’re looking for a lot of lineups, but to me, this is absolutely uh one of my favorite tools. It’s just And you can mix and match. You can do whatever you want in terms of Okay, so you see simulated RI minus 11%. We have some work to do. So then you go right back in. You say, okay, let’s try this and this. I’m going to go, you know, I will adjust on the fly here. I’ll go uh JT and we’ll go even more balanced. And now I’ll go Bryson. Let’s see what that does. And try it again. And again, you play around with this. you find some lineups that you like, put them into the Rolodex. And then if you’re running the Sims, obviously you’re able to do this on a macro scale. Uh, which is awesome. But to me, this is I could sit here and do this all day. It’s so much fun. Uh, and honestly, it’s very powerful. You get some you get some indications.
