this race last year. Let’s not even talk about it. [ __ ] you, Kyle Larson. Um, yes, Kyle Larson won by a [ __ ] the tip of my fingernail um over Chris Busher in a photo finish last year. Probably one of the greatest races I’ve ever seen in my life if I’m being completely honest with you. Makes it hurt even more. Yeah, you love to have those great races end in a in a guy that you root for. And we thought he won and we and that’s what made it worse. Yep. Everybody thought he won and got our hearts ripped out of our chest. I’ll never forget watching [ __ ] Cliff Daniels go. He went and I and I did this and I knew immediately I was like I’m going to [ __ ] kill myself. I knew it as soon as they put him on television. I was so [ __ ] mad. Yeah. So, that was a rough one, but great race. I mean, like I said, it was the most entertaining race I’ve really ever seen. Um, from from flag to flag. I remember Ross and Kyle battling the stage one like it was the last lap going back and forth. Tenny and Chris going back and forth. Chris going in the middle of four wide at some point down the front stretch passing everybody for for second between Bell and Larson and Ross or somebody. It was uh it was a great race, man. and uh the fall race didn’t quite live up to that, but it’s hard to live up to to what we saw last year. And this race this year, I don’t think will live up to that standard, but I still think it’ll be a great race. Um this is been, if not the best race, a top three race in the Cup series every year since we’ve come to since we had this next gen car at this track. So, I’m expecting big things out of this track. Big things. Big things. and uh a lot of a lot of great racing side by side. Uh this track just has just works with this car so well. It doesn’t work at hardly any other track, but it works at Kansas really well. And so I’m expecting big things out of this race and hoping for a good finish and a good race and cuz I mean this is almost our Super Bowl. Uh you ain’t going to get much better racing with this car than this track this weekend. So big race. Got to perform well. Um, Toyota and Chevy should be good, but I think some Fords will be good. I think Chris Busher is going to be strong. I mean, we Texas last weekend, he had a racewinning car. I think I think he’s gonna be able to carry some of that momentum of that speed of that 17 over here. Um, Blay will be quick. Never been his best track, but I think he’ll be quick like he always is. I think Magano will be quick. Momentum is a big thing in this sport. Got to win. Think he’ll be strong. Um, Priest might be pretty good. He keeps on surprising me, man. He’s having good runs. He just can’t get the finishes. Um Brad, we’ll see. I mean is normally he’s decent here, but I not going to comment on Brad, you know, but I think Hendrickk Gibbs 2311’s going to be strong and I think Pinsky and RFK going to be strong, too. And you going to have a a wild card guy like a like a Carson host of RB up there like a um could be a Michael McDow. It could be a legacy card. Eric Jones had a good run this past weekend. And I think there’s a lot of teams that I could see run good here at this track because it’s just if you have a good car, good setup, you can do something with it, unlike other tracks and that we have on the schedule with this car. So, the field’s wide open here, but at the end of the day, I think it will be a guy that we wouldn’t be shocked to win this race. I think it’ll be a an a main guy that’s maybe already won a race, maybe not. I don’t know. But it’ll be a guy that you look back on and be like, “Yep, not surprised he won this race.” But man, what a great race. Hopefully that’s what we get this weekend. Yeah, I hope so. Here’s the here’s the deal. Kind of like we were talking about earlier. I don’t Everybody’s expecting last year to happen. It’s not going to happen again. You’re not going to see the same race. It’s not going to be as good. Just it’s not just looking at which is it was almost a perfect race. And that’s my that’s what I’m saying. It’s hard to beat it. It’s hard to replicate. So, even if it’s a good race, a lot of people are going to be, you know, a little bit disappointed that it’s not not what last year was. But I I do think it’s going to be a good race. Um going to be a different race than last year. Of course, last year with the rain and everything, if we get that, you know, might change things up. Um but you know I foresee this uh being a race that uh there’s a lot of variability with. You know I think I don’t think track position is going to matter here as much as it’s mattered everywhere else. We will see. I don’t think you’ll be able to erase that memory. No, probably not. But uh luckily my memor is not quite as good as yours. So I might just forget it all together anyway. But uh that is true. It kind of sucks being like the history guy on this thing. Like I remember a lot of [ __ ] I remember some [ __ ] I would like to forget. Uh 2014 Texas. Yeah. I much as I don’t want to ever remember that race, I remember that race very well. I remember everything. You know what I remember? I remember uh Alex Bowman uh beaten with a wrecked race car. Congratulations. Cuz you could have picked [ __ ] Chad Fincham and you would have beat me. Could have. But uh Whoopee, you got lucky. 75. 75 about to be 85, not 95. No, cuz the guy I’m picking is not going to win, but I am picking him. And uh we both mentioned the guy I’m picking is not going to win, but I’m picking him. I think he’s going to have a good race. I think he deserves a good race. We both talked about him. I’m going to get Chris Busher. Um finished first and a half here last year. First and a half. Um should have won the race. Um if Kyle Larson didn’t drive dirty and doorway uh come on now. Uh probably should have won the race. uh didn’t obviously, but uh was was their closest. It was the closest in NASCAR history, wasn’t it? Oh, yeah. Uh it was tied with Atlanta. Yeah. So, uh both my guys get the [ __ ] into the stick. Yeah. But, um I think uh I think you’ll have a good day. Um, like I said, probably not going to win, but Texas has given me a lot of confidence in their mile and a half stuff over at Rous, so hopefully they got it fixed. And like I said, he was really good here last year, and they’ve been, you know, good at a lot of mile and a half stuff sporadically the past couple years. I I remember a Charlotte race that they weren’t too terrible at. Texas here and there and Kansas last year. So, um, I think the 17’s going to have a good top five day and and hopefully that outruns whoever you’re picking. This is this is this is okay. Well, my pick this weekend at uh Kansas, it’s going to be a great race and uh hope Chris Busher Chris Busher Chris Busher does well. But my pick this weekend, um, man, I’m gonna go with a guy that is very good here. I I don’t know if he’ll win the race, but I talked about him earlier. He always gets good finishes this year. Seemed like he does. Now, this this week he’ll [ __ ] blow up or something, a wreck. But um going with a guy that that needs a win. Uh but he’s been like I say he’s been very consistent this year and been very very strong getting good finishes. Not had the speed in the cars but finished second last week. He’s got some momentum off that and I think he builds off of it this week. I don’t think he wins the race but I think he does pretty well. Give me Ross the boss chastain this weekend. Haven’t picked him yet this year. Um strong pick. Um I said he’s very good at Kansas in the past. has led a lot of laps here in this nextG car. So, uh, give me Ross. Hopefully does well this weekend. Won Kansas, won this race in the fall last year. So, he knows how to get it done at this track. And, uh, he’s he’s good. Did good good uh, race to punch his ticket to the playoffs. So, that’s what I’m going this weekend. And yeah, I don’t think I’d pick him at a track by himself right now. No, I pick Ross. Dumb. That’s so dumb. How is that dumb? Here we go again. He sucks. Finished second last week and he won this race in the fall last year. Do you not remember? No. It’s when Kyle spun out off Brisco. This a hurricane. Oh, wait a minute. I didn’t have power. That’s what it was. That’s what it was. Uh, but yeah, going with Ross. I’d be okay with either one of them. Ross or Chris. Obviously, I prefer Chris, but I think it’s uh it’s going to be a good one this weekend. I think you just gave it to me. But, um, what? I appreciate it. Gave it to you. I think you gave me the win. Did. Yeah. I mean, I wouldn’t be mad about that. I don’t think Ross is going to be good. Really? You just said that those Track House cars are slow as [ __ ] not an hour ago. Yeah, but they won. He won at this track last time we were here and he’s always been good here in this car. Yeah. Well, who else am I going to pick? Hm. Tell me that. I’m not going to pick the top guys. I’ve picked the top guys almost all of them. I could I could have picked Christopher Bell. Probably the one I probably should have Chris Bubba. I can’t I can’t pick Chris. Rea. Reick. Reick. I’ve already picked Reic once. Chad Finchel. I could pick him. Yeah. Anyways, I got to go to bed. I’m tired as [ __ ] Hey, you think you ain’t got to go to work tomorrow? I I do. No, that was last week and I’d be a Monday off. That’s right. That was last week, my boy. So, you’ve got Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday. Yeah. And then you’re off Friday, Saturday, Sunday. Back on nights. No, Monday. Back on nights. No, Tuesday. Jesus Christ. Work Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday. Off Friday, Saturday. Off Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday. So, you’re on your week off after these four days. Yes. You going to get it right eventually. And then you’re back on nights Friday, Saturday, Sunday. Monday. Monday. Yes. Then you’re off Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday. Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday. Day shift. Off. Monday. Yep. Tuesday night. Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday. Gotcha. Then the weekend off, then four days again. And then your month off or your week off. It’s going to be a month. We’re about to start shutting down like crazy. The Memorial Day weekend. Hell yeah. Memorial Day weekend that I took off for the for the uh race and stuff. Coke of Cola 600. Yeah. is the biggest day in racing. We’re going to be probably shut down that whole weekend. Good. No reason. My liver is probably going to be shut down that weekend. So, um, too much sugar. Yeah. Um I think South Carolina is a better football team. Clemson. Oh, okay. We’ll prove it on the field this year. Y’all be crying. Willy be your tears. We wins Bryce tears. I tell you what, what were y’all crying? We were crying. Death Valley. Yeah, we were crying last year. We’ve cried quite a bit. Got killed at Death Valley. We got K. We lost by three points. Hey, lost is the key word. Anyways, lost two out of last three, hadn’t you? We won what? Eight in a row out of y’all. I’m surprised Clemson if I can count that high. Yeah. We’ll probably be upset on Sunday evening when Chris Busher loses by a dick length again. Yep. Hopefully it rains. Get home and watch it for 20th. Yeah, I’ll be off.
