A national initiative is making a local impact, as young golfers across Worcester County can now play rounds for just $5 thanks to a new partnership between Bank of America and the nonprofit Youth on Course. The “Golf with Us” program offers a free, one-year Youth on Course membership to youth ages 6 to 18, giving them access to thousands of golf courses—including five right here in Worcester County—at a drastically reduced rate.

The participating local courses include Cyprian Keyes Golf Club in Boylston (both the Championship and Par 3 courses), Berlin Country Club, Dudley Hill Golf Club, and Indian Meadows Golf Course in Westborough. The initiative is part of Bank of America’s larger effort to bring affordable recreation to 75,000 young people across 97 markets in the U.S. The enrollment period runs through May 24.

Michael Garand, president of Bank of America Worcester, sees the program as an important investment in both youth and community development. “By creating more opportunities for Worcester kids to play golf here in our backyard, we’re investing in their growth and making a meaningful impact in our community through the power of sports,” said Garand, a longtime resident, and active civic leader who also serves on the board of the Worcester Regional Chamber of Commerce.

Beyond just discounted access to courses, “Golf with Us” opens the door to lessons in perseverance, patience, and focus. Members also receive a registered USGA handicap index through the GHIN system and can participate in ongoing development programs and learning opportunities.

Families interested in enrolling their children in the program or learning more can visit bofa.com/golfwithus. The deadline to sign up is Saturday, May 24, 2025.
