[Music] you have no idea what you missed not ready this week in mxa we are talking about the world vet Championship 40th annual I don’t even like calling myself a vet Rider I’m only 28 years old so I’m technically not a vet I I’ll I’ll say that when I’m 30 but Dennis Stapleton uh this race is pretty stressful just to be honest what is it like getting ready for World vet well being a glennen local this is really stressful right you think you ride the track all the time Jody and I are out here designing working on the track Jody let me work a lot this year with them on the track so hopefully Everyone likes that part we tried to keep it flowy fast 3 minute lap time so we can run three gates get everybody to get all their motos and have a good time but I also do a rental business I have Japan over Argentina over so taking care of them and I don’t want to be a slouch in the 40 Pro class or the 30 Pro class so this race is super stressful always a lot of fun tons of countries Here track is brutal the first thing you hear of people when they come in wo that’s a rough track so Glenn Helen takes pride in that overall this will be an awesome event yeah 40 Years of world vet Championship it’s going to be fun one the track looks good the pits are packed and it’s going to be a fun day of racing okay we’re here at the vet Nationals national anthem just went off everybody’s excited it’s going to be fun this might be the biggest turnout I did a GNCC last weekend that was 731 people on the track and that’s how it feels today uh we’re on the trusty KX this time boys and hooked us up with some cool parts and uh well let’s have some fun feeling good track’s going to shape up nice it’s really greasy right now because of this overcast and it’s but it’s going to be really good track is great right now I think he looks like meoo it is me it is meoo hey it’s the Japanese Magoo I love this guy I am getting the legendary Mike Brown’s gate ready we built bikes for him and so now I got to do this I have to race against him this is his 125 class or 150 class so yeah no I it’s not very smart of me I gave him a really good gas gas ride good suspension all that stuff and then realized now I got to race [Music] him what’s up guys we’re at the 2024 Glenn Helen World vet championships people come from all over the world for this one race so uh for some people it’s just about fun other people they’re taking it serious like there’s some million dooll prizes on the line but uh as you can see we got all the test bikes out here all the test Riders and we’re here having a good time those guys from all over the world oh yeah it’s definitely their biggest holiday it’s a national holiday for old people guys like me that are 73 almost and um having a great time seeing all your buddies hanging out so when the World Cup race happened the first year had two of my friends come over from Ireland and it was the best time ever was two two guys from my hometown we did the team Race and just it was an expensive trip for him so I’m like I can’t bully him into coming all the time so I think I’m probably the only Irish guy here there’s there’s people from all over the world there’s like Mexico Brazil Australia New Zealand like it’s pretty cool we got a Spanish team right here but I think I’m the solo Irish guy here this weekend so hopefully next year if anybody’s watching the video Give me give me a message Doc mx30 is my Instagram and try let’s um put a team together next year all right guys so I did an interview with Trevor yesterday and I got to put my hand up I think I was telling lies I really didn’t know I was telling lies but as it turns out I’m not the only Irish guy at World vets this week so I’m dve David O Conor introduce yourself Kevin McGrath and Json Hart yeah so next year if the guys come back we’ll definitely do a World Cup team we only found out like last minute that there’s three hours people which would have been a great time to do a team but I think this is probably like my 15 year doing this this your first year so I bet you get the bug like everybody else you see like there’s people from all over the world and hopefully everybody comes back and we’ll do a team next year well it’s actually I I came for the first time last year and uh I think the problem was I gave it so much publicity that now this place is crawling with Canadians this year I heard there’s pretty much 80 Canadians here this year so it’s uh kind of going through the roof uh makes a pretty good holiday for people to come down you know we get Winter’s coming up north although it’s cold here now but uh second time for the Cup of Nations we got a strong team we are second and third last year was under debate there’s a some protest involved we got some strong teams going to be fun all right hey I’m Skippy team manager for Team Canada we’re pretty proud of the guys we got and how fun it is to bring I think we’ve totaled over 73 Canadians this year and then of course the nine guys that are on the team and we just didn’t pull from where we are it’s like they’re all from across Canada all the way like ocean to Ocean everybody here is old except for guys holding cameras yeah it seems like it there’s a lot of people here that I’ve never even seen before and I’m here almost every weekend I can’t believe there’s this many guys this old that are still racing if from Australia just to ride the world west and yeah great a great event you on the track well yeah what can I say about those Dan Hills right here we got two Argentinian Riders we got a couple Japanese right there we have three more Japan and we have John Perry from Colorado longtime mxa guy jumping riding the Stark my bike down at the end total we have 9 people hanging out with us got my group of friends in the area we took over and then mxa Wrecking Crew to the right which everyone knows but yeah every year the Japans come over use the trailer use the bikes they set they kind of uh work and do their own program while they’re here uh I just apply all the tools to make it happen starts off hero track moist nice faes of jumps you feel like three bucks and then it all goes downhill so just when you think you have you can ride and you have some skills you get humbled and then you have all the amazing Legends make it look fantastically easy so we’ve got Josh mosan and Trevor Stewart in class 25 magicians then you start moving up into the Mike Brown era well even now he’s 40 and 50 it’s just crazy the difficulty the challenge it’s humbling and here we are let’s do it again wonderful motorcycle to ride right here thanks to Jody thanks to Josh Justin everyone at Motocross Action I want to say thanks a ton cuz I’m having the most fun I’ve had in a long time this bike is so good and just here to have some fun I turned 25 on Tuesday so uh take advantage of all the old guys out here let’s see if I can hang on for the whole Moto the 25 plus class there’s no slouches so um yeah get a good start hang on as long as I can and have some fun all right this guy has done retirement right Phil nicketti world’s bet championships straight from SMX to the world vet championships so far you’ve won some motos you had some good battles in the 125 class you got one more Moto coming up but overall atmosphere what’s it like to be at World bet um I I’m I’m enjoying it it’s cool to be around a bunch of people that enjoy riding dirt bikes like me and um at this point in time as you can tell this wind is picking up and I’m not happy I I now I’m getting the full Taste of Glenn Helen S Anna WIS that’s what we’re trying to do we’re trying to get get you the full taste it was too nice yesterday so we wanted to get you the full enchilada I was kind of already humming and Hauling about this yesterday missing practices and gate picks and I’m mostly used to you know everything’s on time you know now it’s just like a freefor all so I’m getting used to it but uh yeah it’s Glenn Helen on a Thursday it feels like and I I am enjoying it for what it is so win or lose I still get to have a beer at the end of the day and it’s still still pleasurable so seem like you having fun to me so from the outside looking it seems like you’re having fun to be honest yesterday on the 150 Ki Jam gave me a marketing bike and uh I rode that bone stock and the track was really gnarly and uh I’m hoping I get blown away back to North Carolina right now so I can get out of here but um it was a good time so you know made some cash and like I said it was uh yeah it was a little scary coming down the hills with stock suspension but I got to get used to that if that’s going to be the realm that I’m in I like it run run what I BR yep run what you br all right what’s next on the list for you after this uh I don’t know I I got some time I got uh I’m fortunate enough get to do some testing next week with KYB um so I’ll be back on super crossed and just kind of yeah bouncing around so I need to uh figure really figure out which what direction I’m going to go so I got couple opportunities I’m really excited for um but everyone’s been great so it’s been fun so braining off and just riding a dirt bike and drinking some beer yeah all right fun times looks like he’s having fun from the outside in World vet championships perfect weather yesterday great this morning now we’re getting the full experience with little l [Laughter] [Applause] [Music] Still Still stuff left to prove right he’s um I mean he’s amazing it’s unbelievable that’s why I mean I can put in maybe 1% of the work he’s done in my effort here hopefully I can show how much I appreciate everything he’s done oh I’ve never done this before do I just hold it World vet is a place where old geezers like us get together and ride and just have a great time according to my calculations it’s for old guys to just run into each other and crash all the time weekend of fun with their friends and uh we can act like uh youngsters still as we uh advance in our ages this week in mxa World vet championships yeah we posted this video a little bit later but hope you guys enjoyed that live stream with full coverage from a lot of the motos especially the pro motos so if you haven’t seen the live stream you can check that out on our YouTube channel um overall great battles with Trevor Stewart he was on the electric El bike I was on the uh loudest bike on the track it was the most relaxing battle I’ve ever had following an ebike and can’t hear him at all um I won the first Moto he won the second one I almost got him the last turn and then this last Moto the weekend uh he got me so second overall 25 expert two more years until I can race a 30 Pro class thank you guys for watching see you in the next video

There is no Motocross without 125 pros. The very best racing of all.
125s rule baby
my second time (55+), came all the way from gernany. Thanx to dave from MXVacationsCA for the awesome bike and support. i'll be back next year👍
I had a late moto on Saturday, the track was treacherous !
How is it the World Championships when its only ever in the USA?
What a stupid video where's the riding why don't you keep the talking videos separate lame
Would be cool if GH and the media guys could show a bit more of the amateur riders, they are the one sacrificing a lot to be there and they get zero recognition, the pro guys are there with sponsors and they get all the recognition while the amateur riders get no spotlight.
Super cool event but a vet at 25? Who made that up 😂 minimum should be 40+
Some bumps on the track an the californians are screaming its rough… cali is so hard they dont consider studder bumps….im from the east near unadilla we like it tough an rough…our farm dirt likes to move around a create 3 foot braking bumps going into corners…its a good work out
Everyone looks soo fast!
Awesome video ❤️💪🏻
Won some races in the early 70s. Turning 80 next year and wondering if they have a class for me?
