2025 Truist Championship. Day 4. Patrick Cantlay.

Pat, you played uh pretty four different courses essentially over the course of the week. Uh take us through your approach. How do you adjust to things? Today seemed a little bit more like Thursday, a little less wind. So, how was it? Yeah. Uh this week, you know, I wasn’t really expecting this kind of weather. We had rain one day and some pretty good wind yesterday. Um I thought I played well, played solid all week. Finally made some putts today, which was nice. Yeah, really good uh backstretch. How is that going to carry over into Quail? Yeah, it’s always nice to have some momentum going into a major. Uh it’s a golf course I’m comfortable with. I’ve played that tournament a number of times in a president’s cup there. So um yeah, I’m looking forward to it. It’s nice to be on form. In talking to a lot of the guys this week, the common thread of uh coming up to the Northeast more for tournaments is uh has been a common thing talked about. What’s your opinion on possibly a more permanent spot coming to the coming to the Northeast? Yeah, I like the golf in the Northeast. There’s so many good courses and uh we don’t get here up here too often, but uh I hope we could get up here a little more. That’d be great. Awesome. I was just wondering your opinion on playing a signature event the week before andor after a major. Uh or yes, after a major. Yeah, I think it’s fine. I I like playing the week before a major. Feel like uh get some rhythm and get some reps in. So, I think it’s great. Does that kind of alter your mindset? Do you perhaps go into next week maybe a little more fatigued on a rigorous golf course like this or is it a good more of like a preparation? I don’t think so. I think it’s good prep. Uh we’re not used or we’re fair used to playing two three weeks in a row out here. So nothing out of the ordinary. Thank you. All right. Thank you. Yep. Thanks.
