It’s time for the sixth Signature Event on the PGA TOUR schedule, and the TOUR ’s best heads to The Philadelphia Cricket Club’s Wissahickon Course. This week also marks the return of Rory McIlroy, who is set to play his first individual event since his Masters triumph. Although it’s a different course, McIlroy is still the defending champion of the tournament. The Philadelphia Cricket Club is an architectural gem from A.W. Tillinghast and will be a one-year fill-in for Quail Hollow Club, which will host the PGA Championship next week. Joining McIlroy is Justin Thomas, who will tee it up once again after his win at the RBC Heritage, as will other top players such as Ludvig Åberg, Xander Schauffele, Collin Morikawa and Hideki Matsuyama.

Mitchell coming off bogey at two and the dueling par threes three and 14 right next to each other. This is the longer one 163 yds today in a good spot here. He’d be aggressive. Carry enough pace. Beautiful stroke. And that’ll make you even closer than Thomas. Yeah, just right at 80 yards. Go. Oh, stay. Gosh, she’s done such a good job with that golf swing with the wedges. Flattened it out. shortened it in complete control on that one. Give it some pace. I think JT pushed his be a good bounce back indeed. He’s talked about his resilience in his career. That was pretty resilient after the by the way. Now it’s just a weak old beard. Mitchell 117 yds and in a good spot. Kept it underneath the hole. Our leader Keith Mitchell at the fourth. Another good spot to be in. Carrie Pace up the hill. For him right in the center. Come on, smile. Man, what a beginning to the season. Fourth in the FedEx Cup coming in this week. He does a lot of these things. Well, action. This is where Mitchell’s ball is. So, not in the bunker. Oh, might actually be helpful. Nearly 30 yards from the hole and cozy it up there within 4 ft. Good shot. These are the same people. Their uncles and fathers threw snowballs at Santa Claus 40 years ago. They are cheering for Mroy as he pours one in [Applause] year and he cashed again yesterday but then Michael for some reason when he gets to the weekend just falls off the board. That’s 100% mental. Oh found his ring. What did I say? Am I a G? Another bomb. I mean, we know you’re a G with a caddy and a player as they think it through. Thomas bunkered in two here. Nearly a 30 yard bunker shot. That’s fancy as well. Brought it flat. Released it back to that hole. So far so good. Here’s Ashe Batia for birdie to six. These guys are out playing early this morning in groups of three. Ash Batz putter change to the broom. Wow. And 10 under. One of those front bunkers right now. Yeah, Xander’s going to have to deal with it. Let’s see what Eshkate stays short of the slope. All right, that’ll work. Good shot. A Beta at the seventh. Birdie putt on the way. Beautifully judged. Beautiful speed. Beautiful read. Great putt. [Music] Mory does it again. I mean truly like incredible if you think about the statistics. a lot of golf tournaments and I’ve been burned. So, he is on my no-fly list until uh until further evidence is is revealed that he can actually close on on a tournament doesn’t play this week. I love the no-fly list. Uh can’t we talked about him and that’s a great result here at 14. Sure is. Perfect. Also, this is not all bad. Yeah. Also, straight back uphill from this angle to the flag stick. Must have been a pretty good lie. Got a little bit of check on it. That’s a nice play. And you do want to fly this all the way to the hole. Actually, he’s lighting it down. Going to skip it a little bit. Where’s the spin? Here it comes. There it comes. What a shot, John. We had a great angle from the fairway there. He had that club towed in and actually made a draw swing with the ball. Good group. Check in with him in a minute. Shane Lowry at the 11th now. Some might say European conditions. That was moving. It’s that reaction, man. Up to the 12th. And the man who’s now at 10 under this from 129. Mitchell. Colder conditions. Ball isn’t going to fly as far. That was well judged. accommodating for the heavy air and the backspin. And here she comes. Fantastic shot. And we won’t see a lot of that today. We may see a one today. Up on a little tear. This was just a moment ago. There’s a back stop back there as well. There it is. [Applause] Who’s at the fourth hole? Moracawa to play that patented little cut up there as should come back. Yep. Boy, the control he has over his irons is just amazing. Mitchell T at 14 117 today. One of the feature holes here. Gorgeous P three. That’s a gap wedge and he’s got a back stop if he wants to use it. They did, Aaron. That’s gorgeous. just really checked, didn’t it? Sorry. Is that first down? Oh, just on. Never a doubt. You give these players a read from that distance, they’re going to make it back to back for JT to get to seven. Now as we go to the T at 16 and Ricky Fowler, push the hole in the back right. Oh, how does it stay there? Familiar with old style designs trying to slide something in there to that back right shelf. He gets it up there and it stays. Best shot of the day here on 16. Best shot of the day. That’s I want to call that’s inside 11 ft 3 in. That was Ben Griffin’s effort. Kemp is the flag again. Everybody there also looks pretty just left of it. Also, good control. The greens are really soft. That is excellent spin control. Good for him so far. Now, Mroy, it’s the type of shot he struggled with last year. This year, he’s been really good at fighting it down. He’s done it here. Just needs to go. Took a ton of spin off that in the past. He may have thrown that frustrating heading to the seventh T. This one needs to go down. And it did. Not that easy of a putt to make. Had pretty good amount of break from left to right. Good putt. 15. And Shane Lowry now from that bunker. Long bunker shot. Oh man, that guy’s got some hands, doesn’t he? That was really pretty. Just impeccable tempo. Yeah, a wonderful shot. You can really see him trying to hold that face off there and not let it get to the left. Got to pay it off. That away. [Music] Good birdie. We haven’t seen many birdies made here lately, so it’s good to see. Thanks for watching the PJ tour on YouTube. For more videos, click here. To subscribe, click

  1. The commentator with the s**t voice needs to step away from the broadcast. Also, do we really need the gambling lines on the highlight package. Have some integrity!!

  2. I know these guys get new clubs all the time but the way they can spin the ball in conditions like this is so cool.

  3. Straka sits at -10 in 3rd place and only gets 2 highlight shots? Crazy…
Not to mention that he didn't get any highlights shown after the first round, where he was also sitting at 3rd place
