South African golfer Garrick Higo wins second PGA Tour title. Garrick Higo clinched his second PGA Tour victory on Sunday at the Puntaana Championship by a single stroke after American Joel Dharm stumbled late in the final round. The 25-year-old Johannesburg native, who claimed his first PGA Tour win at the Palmetto Championship in South Carolina in 2021, was thrilled by the unexpected result. “This is incredible. This is exactly why I play golf,” Higo said. The journey comes with highs and lows, but I genuinely love every part of it. Reflecting on the finish, he admitted, “Honestly, I’m still a bit shocked. That’s not the ideal way to win a tournament. Bogeying the last three holes, it’s just not acceptable. It almost feels like I didn’t earn it, but I’m grateful nonetheless.
