That shaft seems awfully short for a driver, and coming over the top doesn’t help as far as distance goes. No need to rush the swing. Golf is strange, and unless you really know what you’re doing/feeling, rushing the swing (especially the transition at the top) makes your muscles tense up and kills any natural speed you can create. Think of it as you’re tossing the club behind you (takeaway), a slight pause at the top, then whip the club through impact. Good rhythm creates speed which creates distance.
