Can I beat the Masters Tournament champion for 2025 at a round of Mario Golf? Rory McIlroy scored -12 under par at the Masters Tournament this year, and I’m gonna attempt to beat his score. Not through actual golf, though, but with Mario Golf: Super Rush instead. On this first episode of a four-part series, I’m going for the Mario Golf Grand Slam. Four tournaments, four Mario Golf games, four videos, four attempts to beat the championship golfers from 2025.
I’ll play through four courses in Mario Golf: Super Rush — Bowser Highlands, Blustery Basin, Spiky Palms, and All-Star Summit specifically since they’re the hardest 72-par courses in the game — and try to beat McIlroy’s score. That means a 13 under par or better. I’m adding some extra stipulations to make it more difficult: no special shots, standard clubs only, winds set at Strongest, and the tees as far back as the course allows. For this game, I’m playing as King Bob-Omb because he’s got the farthest drive, which will be important for a specific hole but is also a generally good advantage on most courses. Oh, and if I don’t get a low enough score in one set, I gotta start from the very beginning.

I like NES Open Tournament Golf. My friend Ren hosts and does commentary for a Tourney 2x a year. It's a lot of fun.

The extra oomph you have to add to putts on a wet green is something I've always struggled with
Oh, golf is a weird sport and Nintendo thought it would be fun to have red wahoo plumber guy play that sport because reasons, now I get it.
Half of this video was me trying to understand what the heck all the Golf terms ment. I understand them now, but I still struggled with thinking about the Feet.
Anyway, if you manage to beat all the other challenges you should call all the people up and force them to defend their Honor and Title (In Mario Golf).
The algorithm gotta pick this gem up! Great video dude
C'mon, man. You can't hope to match Rory McIlroy! The least you should do is beat the Open champs like Xander Schauffele or Bryson DeChambeau!
All kidding aside, I'd prefer you match up using a mod and playing Happy Gilmore. 🤣
