Charlie Wingfield clinched the Oake Manor Golf Club Sunday Stableford Competition with an impressive 41 points on Sunday, April 27.

His victory in division two saw Daniel Owen and Thomas Salter trailing in second and third places with 39 and 38 points respectively.

In division one, Richard Barker emerged victorious with 39 points, closely followed by Robin Trott with 38 points and Simon Greaves with 37 points.

The ladies’ Sunday Medal Competition, on the same day, saw Jill Loader dominate with a nett 68, three points ahead of Janet Howe and four ahead of Kathryn Salway.

The seniors’ Monday ‘Order of Merit’ Stableford Competition was a closely contested affair, with Dave Lewis emerging as the overall winner and division one champion with 38 points on Monday, April 28.

Michael Latham and John Wall came second and third respectively, with 37 and 36 points.

Mark Howard, with 37 points, won division two, narrowly beating David Matthews, who also scored 37 points.

Richard Harries secured third place with 36 points.

The ladies’ Tuesday Stableford Competition for the Veterans Trophy, on Tuesday, April 29, was won by past ladies’ captain Liz How, who scored a fantastic 40 points.

Kate Foster and Karen Grabham took second and third places with 37 and 35 points respectively.

Julie Cross won division two with 35 points, and Pam Akers took home the Veterans Trophy with 34 points, the highest score by a lady aged over 70.

The Wednesday Midweek Stableford Competition on Wednesday, May 1 saw some excellent performances, with Jack Jones winning division one with 41 points.

Robin Trott and Nathaniel Pepperell both scored 35 points, with Trott finishing in second place.

In division two, Daniel Owen matched Jones’s score of 41 points to claim victory, while Ashley Gaines and Daniel Payne finished in second and third places with 38 and 36 points respectively.
