What’s up y’all? We’re here in the Pebble Herz fitting bay again today and I’m going to be walking y’all through proper golf bag [Music] setup. I felt this video was extremely important today. Recently, I’ve seen some bags that uh sort of made me cringe a little bit. I’m going to be honest. So, I figured we’d uh do some content on on exactly how a real golfer sets his or her bag up to uh not look like a total noob. This guys coming on to bag setup, right? Where your clubs go in the bag. Very important. See, a lot of guys mess this up. Head cover clubs at the top of the bag, right? Yes, that includes your putter. Your putter should always have a head cover on it. Uh also, if you if you carry alignment sticks, I carry these really awesome ones by Gamut Golf. Those go in the top of the bag as well. Quick note on head covers, guys. I see way too many golfers out there. They get to the first tee, they snatch that head cover off the driver, they throw it in a little cart basket, and it remains there until they tap in on 18. Okay, here’s the deal about head covers. When your clubs are most likely to get dinged up, get chattered up, right, is is during the round. You’re walking with the bag on your back, everything’s bouncing around, riding on the card, everything’s bouncing around. That’s when your clubs need the most protection. They’re not bumping around and getting scratched up sitting in your closet at the house, right? It’s for when you’re actually playing. Do me a favor. Put the head cover on the club after each and every shot. May seem a little cumbersome, but that’s the whole point of the head cover. Otherwise, just don’t use head covers. That’s okay, too, if that’s how you choose to play it. But I’d rather see that than the guy that takes it off on one, doesn’t put it back on on 18. So, head covers at the top to include putter. In the middle section of your bag, you’re going to have your iron set. Quick note on that. A lot of guys these days carrying bunch of hybrids, bunch of high lofted fairway woods. Um, if you have more than three, four, five head cover clubs in your bag. Some of those are going to have to slide into that middle section. That’s where you would see your four and five hybrid, maybe your sevenwood, uh, whatever it is you carry. But, but for most guys, predominantly, middle section is going to be your iron set. And that’s usually four through 9 iron. Very important. I’ll come on to to why I say nine iron here in a moment. In the bottom section of the bag here, we’ve got wedges. That includes pitching wedge. Even if you have a set pitching wedge that matches your iron set, it needs to be in the bottom with your gap, sand, and log wedge. Guys, this isn’t my opinion. Just to be clear, this is just how it is. We want to we want to, you know, shoot y’all straight. We We love y’all enough to tell you the truth, and that’s exactly what I’m doing here. Um, this is the way. Um, so, uh, yeah, don’t don’t want to hear any feedback from y’all on, man, I like it set up like this or that. You know, unfortunately, I’m just here to tell you, uh, if you feel like your head covers need to be at the bottom of the bag and your wedges at the top, unfortunately, still love you, but you’re just wrong. Okay? Um, wedges at the bottom, head covers at the top, iron set in the middle. That’s how it is. Uh, coming on to one final note here, golf towel. Okay? If you want to look like a player, you want to look like a stick, you want to look like a guy that shoots in the 60s every time he goes out, you get a towel, no hook, no clip, not strapped on or velcroed or magnet to the side of your bag. Uh, you just get a towel like this. It can be the coolest is like a old white towel from, you know, your your shower when you were growing up 30 years ago. But but any golf towel, I got one from a cool course I played here. And it just drapes over your clubs, guys. however it falls. We don’t want it clipped on the side. We don’t want it magneted on the side. That’s that’s that’s not cool. Again, just trust me on this. You just you just throw it on there however it falls. And that’s how it rides the whole round. I’ve I’ve never lost one. So, if you’re worried about that, it’s it’s just never happened to me all the hundreds if not thousands of rounds of golf I’ve played like this. Never had a towel falling off. So, you want to look like a stick. You go head covers, irons, wedges at the bottom. And then you just get some old dusty towel. If it’s from a course, great. If it’s from your grandma’s bathroom, great. And you just drape it and let it fall where it is. That’s how you set up the top of your bag.
