Well, I don’t know what you were doing at 14 NAS, but I know I wasn’t thrashing the best bowlers in the world or some of the best bowlers in the world around in in a full stadium in the IPL. Incredible scenes the other night when the young man Sierra Vanchi at 14 years of age scored the second fastest IBL 100. It was absolutely unbelievable. I mean things like this do happen in India and you know you go back to when I was growing up and watching the great Sachin Tendulkar emerge on the scene but this even surpasses that I mean it it is unbelievable for a 14year-old and that is what everyone has started to think what was I doing when I was 14 I was sort of plinking it around for Essics under 15s trying to you know trying to score some runs and he’s scoring a hundred against some of the best bowlers of the worlds in 35 deliveries looking to the manorn looking as if that’s what he’s meant to be doing. Um and it’s also a story of of India and Indian cricket the strength in depth. He’s yet another uh young domestic player who’s got 100. I think he’s the fourth. All 400s have come from domestic players. But also how the IPL is growing to parts of India that historically haven’t produced great cricketers. I think he’s from the state of Bahar which borders Nepal who haven’t produced that many great international cricketers or Indian cricketers. Um he looks like he’s got a big future ahead of him. Do you agree? Absolutely. He looks a bit of a cool cat, doesn’t he? Didn’t uh overly celebrate the milestone when he came. He looked as though he’s taking it all in his stride. Um as you say, the the IPL tagline is where talent meets opportunity and and there’s talent all around the country clearly because cricket is the dominant game. It’s got a grip on that nation. Um but as you say in areas like Bihar and other states that traditionally weren’t strongholds of Indian cricket which have been the big cities of Mumbai, Kolkata, Chennai, Delhi is going to provide opportunity. So this talent is going to keep coming down the pipe and of course that is uh not a worrying sign. I don’t know whether that’s the right word, but it it’ll keep everybody else on their toes because they’ve got a depth of talent as it is. Uh, and it’s just going to get uh deeper and deeper that pool of talent.

  1. Expect regular supply of young talents from our new generation not only in Cricket but in all sports; Indin kids are .aking their presence felt in all spheres of life. In the next decade u can even expect a world class foot ball team from India.

  2. He is not 14. In India its a common practice to alter your birth certificate and reduce your age. He is definitely at least 16-17 years.

  3. Struggle to believe he's actually 14, but even if he's a couple years older it's still incredible!

  4. Useless Ipl a 14 year old boy scoring 100 against international cricket players might as well play baseball most boring cricket this year ipl

  5. Maybe Indians should try something other than cricket. Too much talent being sucked up by one sport can’t be a good thing for anyone. For one, the pressure on any playing 11 of Indian cricket get more and more immense.

  6. As an indian cricket fan, the only worrying sign is we keep producing openers but am yet to see a super talented middle order batter. This will be a problem when Virat hangs his cleats – who will replace him? We have a glut of options at #1 and #2 but #3-5 for tests especially is very weak.

  7. Most loved panel of cricket world Atherton nasir harsha gavaskar michel holding bishop bob tony ian chappel smith.ravi shastri and one of English cricket cant remember his name but this commentators has lived the cricket and keep it alive with their cricketing sense….love u guys❤❤❤

  8. Too much hype is given to a player, lets see if he can perform in domestic cricket for 4-5 years consistently, one great innings here and there can never be a criteria to judge especially IPL. No way he is 14 , must be at least 19 or 20,still a long way to go for him.

  9. Thr British are too politically correct to address concerns about his real age. Regardless, even if he's 16, he's a generational talent.

  10. vaibhav is not 14 yes old he is 16 yrs old his father has created his fake birth certificate. he him self calming in video in 2023 march that he will be 14 in Sept 23 how com in 2025 still he is 14 yrs

  11. India should split their national team to 2 with North and South India. It’s not fair only 11 players can get in the national team

  12. It’s a mentality thing. Well done to India for bringing him along and nurturing him. There is so much talent out there, but the culture around you can make and break young talent. This just wouldn’t happen in England despite the genuine talent out there, because theres a “you have to earn your stripes” to maintain the pecking order. It’s known amongst the pros in the game, which is why Stokes and co gave Bashir, Ahmed, Hull etc a chance and boy did they take it.
Note to England: you won’t discover talent, if your not genuinely looking for it.

  13. The kimd of talent emerging from small towns in India im Cricket hints towards IPL juggernaut getting bigger ams bigger in tye next few years.. wont be suprised if becomed a 3-6 months long tournament like EPL with the number of teams going upro 15-20.. iPL whether you like it or not will be the death knell of International bilateral ODI series

  14. Hi nasser did u forgot surya Kumar yadav Ravichandran ashwin yashashwi jaiswal and many are the products of ipl.. still many to say.. ipl had already produced aome great players to the international level standards

  15. Man! India England test series next with Indians peaking. Very glad to be born in an era where we can witness these many talented cricketers! Joe Vs Virat and Joe Vs Bumrah for me.

  16. These types of talent will become one match sensation due to over hype and he should be guided to become a long time talent
