Some of the world’s biggest golf content creators including social media sensation Paige Spiranac are back in force for the PGA Tour’s latest YouTube spectacle.
On Wednesday 7 May, four three-person teams each featuring one YouTube creator and two golf creators, will compete in a 9-hole competition at The Philadelphia Cricket Club’s Wissahickon Course.
The action will take place between holes 10 and 17 in an alternate shot, gross score format.
After the conclusion of play, the two top teams will advance to the par-4 18th for a sudden-death playoff.
The Creator Classic at Philly Cricket marks the second of three in a season-long Creator Classic Series presented by YouTube.
The first event took place in March at TPC Sawgrass, and it was won by YouTube golf superstar Grant Horvat, who also hosted an event during LIV Golf Miami last month.
The latter had some controversial repercussions, at least for one content creator and former winner on the PGA Tour.
The latest 9-hole content creator team competition is taking place a day before the start of the Truist Championship, the PGA Tour’s latest $20m Signature Event on the schedule.
Rory McIlroy is defending his title this week, albeit with a different title sponsor and on a completely different golf course.
That’s because Quail Hollow Club is hosting next week’s PGA Championship instead.
McIlroy, who became the latest member of the career grand slam club after winning The Masters last month, is attempting to the win tournament for a record fifth time.

The competition is being live streamed via the PGA Tour’s YouTube channel, which you can watch below.
Coverage is also available to watch live on ESPN+, Peacock and the PGA Tour Channel on Pluto TV, Roku, Samsung TV Plus, Prime Video, Fire TV, Tubi, Xumo Play and LG Channels.
Across all social platforms, the Creator Classic at TPC Sawgrass reached 55m users, delivering 90 million total impressions, including 16 million video views.
