Raking, lasering and divot-chasing their way into the Caddie Games winner’s circle. PGA TOUR winner Peter Malnati hosts professional caddies Geno Bonnalie and Chad Antus in a best-of-three challenge, presented by @Knockaround.
The intersection of golf and culture.
Behind every drained putt or hosel rocket into the stands is a human being with complex emotions—among them, an insatiable appetite for golf. That’s what we’re after. Golf’s humanity is what makes it so special to us. There have never been more reasons to love this game, and we’re endeavoring to explore them all.

Between the two of these guys, they’ve got 20 years experience catting on the PJ tour. But today at the Caddy Games presented by Knockound, we’re going to find out who’s got the most skills. Not today, guys. Today, we’re going to do a series of games. We’re going to see who wins. But everyone knows that competition is only fun if there’s a little something on the line. So, courtesy of Knockaround, 500 bones to the winning caddy today. So, let’s go. First challenge today is the divot time trial. We’re pretty spoiled on tour. We play immaculate golf courses. When we hit a shot, sometimes we take a nice divot. It’s these guys job to put it back. So, let’s see who can do that without delay and play. You’re going to go when my ball lands on the green. Okay. So, when it makes contact, if you start early, it’s a two second penalty. Okay. Okay. All right. On your mark, get set, go. How’s our direction? How’s our placement? Done. Wow. That is Boy, that’s a puzzle piece. Can’t even see where it is. That’s a good score. Not just cuz I like the guy. Do good, boss. You ready? Mark, get set, go. Oh, good thing I’m wearing grippy shoes. I hope this is the right way. Oh, that was fast. Done. Okay, I Here’s my initial reaction. Gino, significantly faster. However, I’m pretty sure I can still see some dirt here. This one is fully enclosed. So, I’m giving Gino a 1.5 second penalty for his divot not being as good. So, what was his time? 6.4. That’s still a win for Gino in contest number one. Nice one, buddy. You were fast but also reasonably good. Would Yeah, I understand. And if your ball happened to roll in that corner right there, you’d probably be an angry mal naughty. You know, I I don’t know if you know this. PJ Tour players don’t get angry. They don’t. They just don’t. It’s just all but you. After challenge number one, Gino has the narrow edge. Gino had speed and youthful vigor. Got that divot back in its spot significantly faster than Chad. They both did a really good job, but the edge goes to Gino for the speed. Next up, we have the Caddy quick draw challenge. Everyone knows we’re dealing with some pace of play issues on the PJ tour, but it’s not because of these guys. Watch this. I’m going to give them a little countdown. We’re going to go 3 2 1 draw. And on draw, I want to see how quickly you guys can turn. Get the back left flag on this screen behind us. Okay. Three, two, one. Oh, which one? Oh, I can’t see. No, it’s not 130. 79.1. 81.5. I can’t see. I shot the tent like three times. All right, mine’s all blurry. No wonder rounds on tour take 4 and 1/2 hours. This competition, the Caddyy quick draw is best out of three. This time we’re going for the front pin. We’re going to change the countdown cadence. This time we’re going two, one, draw quickly. Okay, so draw and draw. All right, you guys ready? Ready. Two, one, draw. No. 55. 55.5. 55 to my man. All right. Dang it. The quick draw challenge is going to come down to one last shoot. I tell you what, guys. Which way have you both been turning on your quick draw? Left. Left. I need you to turn your opposite way this time. Cuz sometimes on tour, you’ve got to be able to adapt. The conditions change. Very true. You don’t always have the ability to do it the way that’s comfortable for you. Four, three, two, one, drop. Oh, that’s a quicker way to turn. Oh, my red fighter’s upside down. 74 74.9 74 to Chad. Oh my goodness, folks. What would Patton do? Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. We are through two events of the Caddy Games here today and it is tied one to one. Wow. This is going to come down to the wire, folks. Go tell Scotty Shuffler he can’t chip. Oh yeah, you may be number one in the world, but get out of here. I mean, we’re working here, Scotty. All right, we’ve seen their skills replacing the divots in the fairway. Now, we’re going to see what they do when I make a big mess in this sand trap right here. I’m going to go in there. I’m going to hit a couple shots. Then, I am not going to watch. One is going to rake one area, the other is going to rake the other, and then I’m going to judge who did a better job. And they’re both going to be under a little bit of a time constraint, so we’ll have to see how they handle that pressure. Go on three. One, two, three. Sounds like Gino’s raking over here, but I I don’t know. Can’t tell from the sound. Halfway, guys. 15 seconds. Rakes down in five. Four, three, two, one. Rakes down. Oh, I think you got me. Yeah, I love the squared offness of this one. Love it. I have to say, who pulled all this sand out of the bunker, though. That’s This This is like 10 out of 10 rake job. Minus half a point for all the sand here. Spectacular rake job, but there’s a little curvature to the lines. This is a perfect tie. No one wins this competition, but no one loses either. It’s a perfect tie. Good work, guys. Now, let me guess. This was Chad over here. Oh, was this you? Did I rush you with it? Did I rush you? It was my final pull. I just gave it one last. You said, “Drop it.” And I was like, “Yeah, I didn’t know if that kick was allowed.” So, you know what, man? These are both honestly 9.5 out of 10 rake jobs. This last competition is going to be for all the marbles, which in this case is all this cash right here. Love it. Now, here on the PJ tour, there are lots of times when as a player, I need to rely on my caddy. Need to be able to trust my caddy. Never more so than for this last challenge. Today, we’re trading out my knockarounds for a blindfold. All right, who’s going first? Who am I putting all my trust in? Who is going to be my eyes first? Let’s go make a birdie. All right, Gino. Let’s do this, baby. Follow me. Gino, I know you have some experience um with a player putting with his eyes closed. My player putts with his eyes closed basically every hole. Okay, we’re going to stop right here. Okay. Um I want you to hit what would feel like a 10footer here. Okay. 10footer. Yeah. Am I aimed up properly? Yeah, you’re fine right now. I’m like I’m ready. This is a practice stroke. Oh, practice stroke. Okay. Yep. I just want I want to get a feel for your speed. That looks nice. Same. One more time. Kind of chunked that one. Yeah. That Okay. No, I think speed’s good. I’m going to move the putter into the ball. Okay. Get comfortable to this. All right. I’m ready. Same thing. Repeat. Oh no. Bad caddy. Feel like that’s a little longer than a 10footer, Gino. Well, and it’s not really downhill, is it? Well, you know, I thought it might get a little uh a little quicker this last I thought it was uphill to here and these last couple feet a little slippery. I feel like I let you down a little there. I think you did a great job. I think I shouldn’t have said 10-footer. I should have just those rehearsal strokes be the uh be the guide. Ah, that probably is a good idea. Yep. Right. Cuz you probably hit it 10footer. All right. So, I’m fully blindfolded again. I feel like that’s going to be a loser right there. All right, follow me. Escort me, Chad. We’ve worked together for years. It shouldn’t be uncomfortable for you. All right. Okay. These are practice strokes, and we’re going probably about This one’s going to be slightly uphill. Probably about 12 14 ft. 12. So, I’m hitting it like a 12 to 14 footer. or it’s a 12 to 14 footer uphill. This is a 12footer slightly up the hill. Okay. Okay, that’s good. Now, we’re going to put your putter behind the ball. Aim me up. Good. Okay, we’re going right here. You’re ready. Oh, what a putt. Very good putt, Chad. I gave you a touch too much break, I think. Did it miss high or low? High. Well, well counted, sir. That missed high. Yeah. What a pot. I think we found our uh how we’re going to roll it this week here in Houston, huh? All right. We’ve just seen what happened there. Obviously, the results are objective in this competition. Got to give the W to my guy Chad here, but I got to tell you, Gino did an awesome job as well. I appreciate it. But let me tell you something that I just learned. I trust both of these guys a lot, but I will never be trading my knockarounds for a blindfold on the golf course cuz that sure was uncomfortable. But today’s competition is now wrapped with that victory in the blindfold putting competition. Chad Antis, you are the winner, my friend. Guys, what do you think? Chad, what are you going to What are you going to do with that grand grand prize? I’m going to go to Taco Bell. I think Chad can take us to dinner. I think like I think Chad should definitely take us to dinner. Little money bags Chad. This is what we call him in the caddy dining.
