What are you doing is looking for your fairway finder here. [Applause] Please welcome from take just a little bit of control out of the the spin into the green from the same yardage. Able to hit it high just left of the flag. Yeah, good shot. Yep. The subtle flex, isn’t it? Work just a little to his left. And that looked like a pull to me right out of the gate. A misread from Spath. Also inside the ropes. Shuffler second T. Little butter fade is perfect. That’s just left of center. Fade shot. And he’s trying to fade it. Hanging a little left. That you would think this would go to the right, but the slope actually wants to kind of pull the ball to the left. So all in all should be pretty straight. Shuffler from 18 ft leaks on the low side. There’s about seven paces behind Scotty Sheffler here who’s putting for his par. Oh par for Scotty. We got to heat these guys up soon. Put you in a good position for your second. Scotty looks like he’s lost this one out to the right. That’s going to be okay though. Just a little further back, but still safely in the fairway. Wonderful day. Scotty Sheffler off it up. Here’s his second at the third. Just absolutely blown away by his distance control and spin control all day long. Kept just striking it beautifully. Look at that. Soft greens with a wedge in his hand. Trying to get this round started. Already missed a couple of good looks from five feet. Makes that one happen. And he’s one [Applause] under. Sheffller carving it up the right side. Yeah. Turning on a nice line too, George. Good looking shot. And Scotty Sheffller going deep today. Not to get for this one to go in. But then you got a par five that’s reachable. You got the short par4 six coming up. Cha-ching Sheffller. Birdie’s on three and four. Two under the hump, but he’s really close. A bit too far away. Spotter thinks it’s fine. Scotty watching on. Spotter’s correct. And just a little bit of a pull trying to fade, but going to miss the green to the left. [Applause] with you. Now he’s got a he’s got his lob wedge out. He’s going to just throw this up in the air. Let it land with some check. Pretty straightforward shot. And that’s well played there from Scotty. Made it look so big part of the reason he made the Rder Cup team Sheffller. You hear those footsteps? Yeah. A chance to keep the momentum going here for Scotty and 320 to that bunker in front. And as our colleague Mark Emman would say, that is as straight as raw spaghetti. Nice. Bring it in a little bit lower. How classy is that from Shuffler? quite this close for Scotty Sheffler just cleaning up for four straight. The birdie rampage continues for Shuffler. Three, four, five, and six. Four straight to four under par. Dialed in to say the least through the first six holes. [Music] And a another good looking shot here just right in the center of the green. Now the best from long range here at the seventh turning to the left. That’s going to leave a little work to do. Yeah, I would agree. I think it’s looked very comfortable to Scotty and nice two putt from the front of the [Applause] green. Which looked a little bit like he was going to do that there, but he’s given this one the full treatment up the left center. And this is a beauty. And that took off when it landed. Bringing it in high, trying to fall right, but just left of the flag. Yeah, that’s got this is where the reads become difficult. These nulls off the bunkers. Not for Sheffler though. Read to perfection. really driven the ball beautifully today. Giving this one a little lean. Don’t want to get over there too far to the right and hop in that bunker on him. That’s perfect. [Music] Oh my. Scotty Sheffler dialed in to go out of his campaign in 1945. We’re also celebrating Scotty Sheffller, the world number one through nine holes. Steve Sans pleased to be alongside Johnson Wagner and the rest of our Golf Channel crew. And Scotty is playing some fabulous golf. Is showing complete command of his game. About 310 to a bunker down the right hand side and he has just split the middle of the narrowest part of this fairway. Given the way he struck it today, I would say that’s terrible. Doesn’t have the legs. Oh, was right in the jaws, too. So, Scotty will settle for his parole. This one also starts up the left side. this one. Right. Did that fly like it maybe had some mud on there? You know, that’s the only thing I can think of it that it was on the bottom of the ball and I couldn’t see it, Tom. It sure did to me, though. Green to work with. Got a blade wide open. Trying to flop it on it with some spin. needs to check. Oh, he did. Oh my word, that almost goes in. And that is going to keep the momentum going. It’s going to be a par. As I said, this is not the easiest stretch of the golf course. So, get through here without any issues. And then, of course, another beauty. Maybe there’s a slight fade. Stay in the fairway. Yes, that seems like a lot of club. He’s about 10 yards closer, 5 yards closer than the other guys, but he can hold it up into that wind with his fade. That’s what I think he’s trying to do. He’s come out of this one. This one off to the right. Johnson, that’s fine. I mean, like not not the hole when you’re seven under par to go hunting, you miss it left, and then you leave yourself another brutal shot like we saw in the last. I’m fine with that shot. Just got to remember to hit it up the hill. He hit it. He definitely hit it. Now he’s got a lot left. All right. [Applause] You just see late in the day, greens are soft. Afternoon wave. Greens are getting a little bit chewed up into the bunkers on the other side yet. [Music] Talk to me. Right at those bunkers in the distance trying to fade it off of them. Tom should be perfect. It’s cuz there’s just no there’s no run. So the ball’s just going to stop right there. Scotty can get back on the birdie train here and he’s left it below the hole. That’s going to be a good look. Get to eight under par. Tie the lead. Yes, you knew it. You knew it. She tied for the lead. First birdie the back nine having gone out in 29. Boy, it’s just hanging right at that right edge. Get out of that rough. No, he’s he’s really doesn’t have to deal with the ridge. He can fly it up there just like he’s trying. That needs to get down though. He just got too much ball. Boy, that was a huge mistake. He wants that one back. That’s one of those things Ted Scott said he had to work on if he was he had to work on his temper if Ted was going to take the bag a few years back. See if he can roll in another birdie. Well, if there’s a if there’s a bad four out here, that’s a bad four. Johnson as great as he’s playing. You would not have expected him to get a four at 14, especially not after that T- shot was just in the perfect spot. Great line. See if it’s right. Come back in a little bit. Yes, it should do. He needs one here. That’s for sure. after par in the 14th. The body language tells us that it didn’t drop. Now Shackle for P. Yeah. Just sneaks in there in the middle at the bottom. That’s all that counts. This one might need to hang on. Drifted a little right. It’s just fine. Yeah, this out to the right. That really predictable, Johnson. But that’s fine. That’s a pretty easy up and down right there. You just can’t make the mistake left. I’m fine with that shot. Just like on 12. [Music] It’s just it’s stuffed in that back corner that’s kind of tough to access. You got to hit a really good shot narrow back there. This is nine iron. [Applause] [Music] There’s a good T- shot. How good is it going to be? It’s going to be a tap in birdie for Sheffller and he will get to nine underpar. That’s why they are there watching today. That would be a fun night, Tom. Certainly would. This to take the lead at nine underpar. What a day for Scotty Sheffller. And he’s going to have so much support here. So much energy with this group to begin with. [Music] [Applause] Trying to play it pretty big slice. Good line. Oh, made Johnson jump out of his chair just a little. Had to be on Had to be on his mind a little bit. Did he forget the speed? Just breaking off on that low side. Really hard to get yourself to commit that ball way out to the left, but still really nice putt, good speed, and a heck of a round here. What a day for Scotty Shepherd. The world’s number one player has the lead all to himself by two after an opening round 61. That’s a great swing to start the day there for Scotty. Oh, now on the team from Soul, Republic of Korea. Ah, drifting a little bit to the right. Good shot. Yeah, just a very gentle break to the [Applause] [Music] right. Carried a little too much speed, I think, to take the break. And a par for [Applause] Scotty. Tracing technology provided by Trackman. This one’s just bleeding out to the right. Does it catch the short grass? It will. It will. Oh, this is a poor swing from Scott. He tugged it well left of the green. That’s going to leave a tricky up and down. Try to take some of that indecision and guesswork out of play. Down slope. Oh, there you go. That helps. Okay. It was last year’s tour championship. [Applause] Good looking shot there for Scotty. [Applause] [Applause] Perfect. Now this has started center of the green but working to the far right side of the green. may actually miss right. See that just lost it to the right a little bit. Little quick transition. Now Scotty Sheffller coming off this little top shelf on the right. Should start turning to the left and working down the hill. That putt stays there. just really a say inexplicable swing what we saw from first but we see that from Jordan speed from time to time the well wayward T-shot rain and this one has gone to the left he’s just getting this back in play 229 I mean just hacking that back out and that’s got to go. Okay. Gets back to the fairway. So, it’ll give him something with his third. Q’s cool a couple years ago and then went over and won by eight in Japan. So, I like his game. Easy swing. A lot of power. Sheffller. Oh, nearly jarred it. There’s your wakeup call. Pass save. It’s going to feel like a birdie. [Applause] Perfect. Right at the bunkers up the right side of the green, but right in the middle of the [Applause] fairway. Easy to get it really close to the [Applause] hole. Yeah. Hit that down slope shot forward, but that’s pretty good right there. There’s been three players there now in this second round from that position just to clean up here for Shuffler. Averaging essentially right at 3.0 on the season, but he doesn’t make many birdies. Well, quality looking shot here. Will it get on top? No, that’s a good lead. Well, up and over, turning left once he gets on top. Nice. Watching intently. Yeah. Perfect. And driving this one in a little bit lower flight on a really good looking line. This could really open the floodgates for Scotty. Got to work a little to his right. Didn’t quite have the pace. Colin Montgomery always used to say, “Keep your hands really light on those range parts. Left to right.” Releases the also with the nine iron. And this one a little further left than Jordan. Little short flop shot here. Oh, it’s just the hands around the green are incredible. Insanely good. He’s made that up and down look so much more simpler than the sum of its parts. And this one up the right center just right of Jordan’s golf ball. Should be just fine. and is 229 224 the cover [Applause] and just trying to launch this way up in the air. This is on a fantastic line. Scotty came to play. Sheffller buries it. [Applause] An Eagle on the 18th. His ninth hole of the day. Shuffler’s at 12 under out in front by two. Johnson, I like this play going with Driver trying to push it up there. 320 runs through the fairway. This one starts at those fairway bunkers and not cutting. Oh, that’s took it out of play. Carried it. Now even it’s a great lie in the rough. If you get a good line in the rough, you actually have quite an advantage because you’re not worried about the ball spinning so much. Just like that. Nice start for both those guys. Yep. Good position to be in. [Music] Is it enough? Yes, it is. Scotty Sheffller reaches up Bakers does an underpar and now the lead is four. Yeah, here he is on the tea at the second. There’s a tree down the right side with this helping win. You want to hit it right over the top of it and that’s exactly what he’s done. It’s so important to find the fairway. Players have been talking about that before we had the rain today. Really nicely done. Spend a bit of extra time. It pays off with the read there. So, backto back birdies on the restart. [Applause] I’d be more surprised if it’s a bad one. Just got to be careful not to miss this whole location. Right. Not much room. here. Comes out low. Starting to fade towards it. I mean, yeah, pretty good. Yep. Have another look at birdie. I mean, this place loves him. And he handles the fame so well. And the birdie streak will come to a conclusion. Solid inside 5 ft. It gives you so much more freedom to run at putts from 20. I love the people at home that say, “How do you miss that?” I’m like, “Well, y’all don’t putt them.” That’s well said, Cole. 216 yds today. Wind hard off his left and the whole location on the left. Sounds difficult, Tom, but this looks pretty good. Once again, story we’ve heard quite a bit this week and certainly over the last couple of years with Scotty Sheffer gives himself another birdie chance to get to 15 under par. Hit it. Just going to be a three with the 6 hour 15minute delay. A lot of folks obviously couldn’t stick around. So first par five on the golf course. Just absolutely smashed right down the center. Man, he’s dialed in right now, isn’t he? Dialed in. I don’t know if he’s going to be able to reach from that far back. Not a shot you practice a ton. That was blistered up the left side. That’s absolutely perfect right there. Such a basic chip shot with his hands. He’s going to be thinking about making that one. of course clearly going to be too soft to play the ball down tomorrow. Oh, he almost hooped it. I think I think he’s shocked he didn’t. And Scotty adds to his lead. It is now five as he races out to 15 under par. Remember last year he won at Memorial and then went to the US Open and really struggled. Yeah, he can play from there. She the middle of the last bunker. She’s so soft. Was not going to charge up towards that bunker. That’s the bunker there on the right of the screen that we were talking about. That was proper contact. A bit of spin. Yeah. Just going to be a tap in. Yeah. Well done. This is 16 on the par. [Applause] All right. Well, let’s see if he can knock one off here. And for those gamblers out there, Steve, he is currently minus 550 to win this golf tournament. Next best odds, Steven Joerger plus 4,000. That is crazy considering it’s only Friday and now he has an excellent chance. Yes, sir. Just like that. Five birdies on a first nine today. Well, I’ll let you guess where that one went. Huh? Is it right down the middle? You are correct, sir. I’m relieved, boys. It’s so fun to watch when somebody’s playing like this. That’s a five iron from 215. Oh, this guy stinks. really good pace. The crowd doesn’t know how to react. Yeah, they’re expecting him to roll it in. And of course, he’s got a par five to come on the ninth where he made an eagle yesterday. part of an outward nine of 29 shots. And Johnson, if he can manage to make birdier better here, he will not have anything over a four on his scorecard for the first two days. And that’s exactly what he’s done down the left hand side. That’s ridiculous, Cole. He hasn’t made a five yet. Zero fives. No field five. Oh, this is a little right and needs to hustle. That bouncing looks like it went back into the bunker. Took a big swing. Flew it up top. [Music] I like it. I mean, under the hole, putting uphill. Now, there you go. 18 under par. What a way to finish. Scotty Sheffller has a six shot lead after a 6163 start. [Applause] Well, the club stays on the path for so long. Not a lot of face manipulation. No problems. Didn’t want to miss left. Secondly, so once you get past the resume, you could calm down. Sheffller for birdie. [Applause] Perfect speed again though. His his touch on the longer putts has been really really good this week. Well, it’s always good, but this week exceptional. Hasn’t made many pars on this side though this week. I think he’s 59, isn’t he? The the front nine alone. 59. This one up the right shot should find the fairway. and does. That is deep, too. Wow. Tell us what you think about this particular swing and what would what would his thought be about a line and moving it toward a target? Well, the main thing he’s doing here is trying to make sure that the distance turns out. If you can see, this shot was a little more difficult. had to bring it in from a little bit in front and then a very solid committed stroke. Sort of like that. [Music] Scotty, this one starts up the left. Needs to miss those bunkers. Even his bad shots are finishing absolutely fine. That shortens the hole. That’s exactly what he’s done. Just needs to go the conditions. And his 36 hole total of 124. Frank is just one shot shy of Justin Thomas’s record. Oh, here we go. Whim’s got this one moving it a little right. Short. He’s human. Boy, grabbed too quickly. And you can learn a lot of him. Mhm. And by the way, still a lot of golf left in this tournament as Shepler has his first bogey of the week and the lead back down to six. Not first either, is he? For sure. Not [Applause] this one up the left side. Going to be good. Sixth and bounce back on tour. This one starts the left side of the green now fading. Have to think that’s right where he was looking. Let’s go ABS. Oh, ouch. All right. It’s going to break right early, then work back to his left. Needs a little go. That to get back to 20 under. And that still is intact. Good hit. Oh, this is one of those pulls. This is 50 60 yds left of the fairway. That’s a good hole to do it on though. There’s a lot of room on that left side. Somewhere inside 15 ft. Little long right maybe. He was in real trouble, wasn’t he? Right around 10 ft for birdie Frank. Starting to miss. Seems weird to me. 20 under. Hasn’t even played three rounds. Looks like he made a bo, but no, it’s part. [Applause] This one not drawn for him right at the center of the green. And a popular spot today. We have not, as we mentioned, seen a lot of birdies. Only four. Get started again. [Music] Got to go. That’s not dead yet. That’s why when he got out here and struggled with his putting, I was so shocked because as a as a kid, like all of us, he was just fearless. Clutch putt there for Shiffler. Nothing’s changed but his bank account and his tax bracket. That’s the last one left. What’s this one doing? also up the left but going to be just fine. Absolutely. And a terrific angle. Texas. Well, this is just left of it now. Right of it. Is that any good? Are you kidding me? Who takes that whole location on? This is a great look for a birdie here. Not much in it. Get in there. I think he thought he made it at the suggestion of Rory Malroy. Yeah. [Applause] All right. Lead is back up to six. Reachable par five ahead. Hook him scout. Oh boy. That’s headed toward Oh, it came back. call missed the trees. It clipped the tree actually on the way down and went into the fairway. Wow. Soldier than Burger House. Oh, it’s starting to fall right. This is good looking if it’s the number. It’s a great shot for Sheffller. Scotty Sheffler needed a high fade. You know what were you expecting? Maybe just a hint too much speed and this is the reason why the claw on the shorter putts to 21 under par. [Music] Oh, this one is headed a little right actually. Used to get lucky. [Music] Bat from 186. That’s an excellent shot. It was on the left. He missed it on the right. Shot even part of that day from all the way back at 9 years old. That’s when I went to Randy Smith and said, “This kid’s different.” 9 years old. Great story. All eyes on that man. Trouble off the tea, but such a stressfree part Thursday and again yesterday. This is one of those fairways they brought in Doy and it doesn’t matter today cuz this would have missed it anyway. Well, it missed the longest of the stuff. But does he have a lie? Excuse me, a seven iron. Trying to cut one over the corner of that tree. Catches the front left bunker. Especially if this green wants to go that way anyway. It’s pitched pretty good from back to front. I would say try to maintain your knee flex as well. Little too much of the ball. Yeah, it’s easy to stand up and catch it then thin, Ian. Just over 21 ft. Nearly. I thought that was going to sneak in the left side. You weren’t alone. [Applause] Ian, that shows you how good his hands are right there. He saved that at the bottom. He sure did. He knows exactly where that club face is all the time, even on the bad ones. [Music] What was that you said? That’s a whole another level. Yeah, this would be something. She chef for birdie. [Applause] Another good puck like the one for power at the last. Tap in par for Scotty. It’s the timing in Sheff. Oh, once again really flipped it at the bottom trying to save it. That’s the draw follow through. yourself a chance. Sure sounded nice. Mrs. Mark, that’s unusual. Scott wouldn’t expect anything else. Frank cast iron four. Lack of weakness in that game, isn’t it? just so strong in so many different departments. So correct. Yeah, that’s a good good way to put it. It’s like if you look at all this a chipping action to copy, a pitching action to copy that the way he swings uh just so much is just perfect and obviously a great I would think this is going to have some kind of movement. Yeah, it starts left fading on a tremendous line. That is confidence. Go in. Come on back. It could [Applause] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] just settle for a seven shot lead. Wasn’t far off, was it? That sure wasn’t. Ian, I said he wouldn’t go at the whole location on eight. If he goes at this one, I would be shocked. I think he is, isn’t he? And I’m shocked. Okay. Oh, what a shot by Sheffller. I’m done with this guy. I’m going to the Stars game. Is that any good? And Sheffller pours it in with 22 under par. Trying to get a piece of the right side of the fairway. That nestled down. I mean, I don’t think the slope function should matter. It says it in their yardage book how much it plays up or down. Correct. Cuz when you got talent like Scotty Shiffler, it wouldn’t matter where you put him. He’s good at golf. You can’t measure that. Another one very makeable. Going to break left early and then should try to straighten the last few feet. [Applause] Didn’t straighten. [Music] Like the visual he saw from Ricky. Didn’t peek early. [Music] That’s gap wedge on the way. Proper club, proper shot. [Music] [Applause] Just as described. [Applause] [Music] [Applause] grouping of the day. Sheer te’s off at 18. That one up the very right side. Needs a soft bounce and buried in the rough on the right side. I’m a little surprised by this. High fade. I never saw it. High fade should be perfect. Middle of the green. What a shot by Sheffller. That is a great shot under the circumstances at the 2019 PGA Championship. [Applause] Little more. Little Mo had the line. And that’s the lead for Sheffler. up by eight going into tomorrow’s final round in his hometown event. Just like that. [Music] This is well left of it and might need to get down. Oh, comes back for him. He’ll have a birdie putt at the first, albeit from a long distance. Him and his coach Randy Smith had a nice little pep talk before he headed to the tea and he’s going to go out there and see how many he can win by. steady start for Scottish should be a four. When Tiger Woods was winning all those tournaments in the early 2000s, even the Masters in 97 by wide margins, his philosophy was go out there and extend the lead. So, I think to Colt’s point, well, there’s definitely not a hole in this front side. He hasn’t. Nice. Starks left fading with the wind. Beautiful. Let’s have a hugging that left side of the fairway. [Applause] Taylor Whipple. Yeah, in a great spot there. There it is. I mean, he’s so good this week. He’s really found something that we’ve seen in the past, of course, that’s taken him to the top of the world rankings that we might not have seen yet this year. Or even when you have to sit around till 3:00 like he did yesterday, just to be at home is so comforting. [Music] Going with 3wood today with a little bit of helping wind trying to catch that slope. Just missed it. cannot afford to come up short here. That’s a gap wedge. And that’s mit. This isn’t going to make it. Oh man, that is steep. That’s one of the hardest up and downs on this golf course. [Applause] Easy. Now there’s a slope back there as well. Like you said though, if it stays Oh, wow. It’s not going to stay, huh? It’s going to stay on the surface, but now he’s going to have to putt up and over a ridge, making this long par putt that much more difficult to judge the pace. Johnson, I think when he got about halfway back with that chip shot there, he said, “Do not leave this short.” Had beautiful speed with that lag putt on one. [Laughter] Man, that’s really good from there. Yeah. Well done. Minimal damage done. Bogeies he can afford right now. That was my first ever start on the PGA Tour. You’re from here. You know how big of a deal it is here. Started left to where he was looking. Yeah, you knew it. You knew it. Look at that. So far left. That’s it. Well, certainly can back to 24 under. What do you make of what we’ve seen thus far from Scotty? Doesn’t get much more straightforward for right-handed golfers. And of course, he misses the fairway on the left now. [Music] It wasn’t line that well. He’s trying to run this up and he’s done really well. Done really well. [Applause] Now Shler to get to 25 under par. Yep. Third birdie on the round today with one bogey. That coming at the third. Yeah, this is solidly struck. Should be just fine. That’s an excellent shot. He’s played this stretch six through to nine. As we go back to the sixth hole and here is Sheffller with his second. Can he do the same little juice? Here it comes. He’s been so good from that distance all week. Brilliant shots and the guys chasing him playing some great golf today. Easy birdie there for Scotty. And that makes it three in a row. And that’s an eight iron on the way for Scotty. Front left hole location. And that gets a nice little hop. And Sheffller will have another chance for Birdie to get to 27 under par. Little left to right putt here. Another one. Sheffller takes it to 27 underpar. I would say definitely playing a little easier today. Doy with some helping wind. Yeah, north wind yesterday was chilly. It was brisk. Little calmer, simpler conditions today for the players. Doy, I was talking to his coach Randy Smith before the round. I said, “What’s the message today?” He said, “Be determined, be committed, and go get it. Rinse and repeat.” I said, “Did you tell him to keep his foot on the gas?” He says, “You know, I didn’t have to tell him that.” No, there would be no need to do that. That comes naturally for this guy. Oh my good. [Music] consistent strikes. That makes for good speed control and easy to read greens that way. Stays at 27 under par with a reachable par five coming up. Then mostly left to right here. Scotty is four under on this hole this week cuz he’s going to have some work to do if he wants to get to five. That’s going to find the fairway bunker. Wow. That’s three iron. Wow, does this look good in the air. Oh, yes it is. Absolutely sensational. Once again, putting on a clinic with every shot. [Music] Are you kidding me? Are you kidding me? Pure as can be. How good was that? The entire journey. [Applause] Dude, that’s a pretty nice start. That is just flushed. Absolutely flushed. This one trying to fade but hanging left. Oh, that’s a shocking p is probably only make a par 2900. It’s old style, isn’t it? for all the modern inventions and science in the game. It’s a much narrower fairway this year. Doy lost it right yesterday and I believe he did again today. He did. In fact, most of these fairways are some 68 yards narrower than a year ago. You know, I’m my ball striking’s coming around at a really nice time. time. I felt like I’ve just been progressing each week since the surgery and so hopefully I can have a good week next week and you know maybe go to the PGA and see if I can keep up with this guy but uh that’s been hard to do. Well, it was fun to watch today Jordan and we’ll see you next week in Philly. Appreciate it. Andrew Amanda, thanks. And that 62 ties his career low in a final round yet again. That’s 30 under. Nice round number. Right down the point. That one down the right side into the rough for Sheffller. Definitely looks like a layup to me. Yeah, there was some thick cross there. That might be the worst lie I’ve seen in the regular rough all week. And when you have a nine shot advantage, there’s really no harm in doing that. [Music] Looks like a pull finish. Oh, look at that. He held six feet. [Applause] Par save for Sheffler. And nobody does the numbers better than Scott Forsick. So I appreciate that. This is the level Cop. [Applause] It has been impressive. But this one is headed right. Look out. Well, to me, Frank, it looks like it’s going to come out screaming. Big clump behind it. That’s a six iron from 202. Yeah, good shot. Audacious. That’s ridiculous, Frank. From that lie. Audacious shot. I tell the guys on the range at home that all the time. Check the fundamentals. Put a club down on the ground. [Music] Hole’s ticking down. That needs to keep moving to the right, Colt. It is. This is at the very left side of the green. No letup. Well done. It’s a great spot. Now, Scotty, what kind of noise can he put up for us? Going to try to open it up and land it on the green with some spin, but he missed a spot. Yet another Oh. That’s five iron for Scotty. And if it’s the number, it’s all over it. Good looking swing. Good looking shot. It’ll come back. Come on back now. The clinic continues for Scotty Sheffler. Is this guy for real? Andrew. Can he add to his birdie total here? [Music] Yes, he can. Perfect drip speed. 32 under par. And if he pars out, he’ll set the PGA Tour record. Just needs it to cut a little. [Music] Perfectly fine. Frank. All right. Thank you, Amanda. Let’s go out to 16. She chef. Four iron from 207. And he might have pushed it. I was going to say he might have missed the green, but he had I think he’s done everything else. [Music] [Applause] But we are in Texas cult. So that would have counted as a Texas wedge. Inside 10 ft for Sheffler made that much of a difference. Yeah, definitely to his confidence. He doesn’t peak anymore. He sometimes on these short ones he was a little less confident than he appears now. [Music] [Applause] didn’t quite cover. [Applause] Human after all. Bump it into that slope and it should get up top and be fairly simple for him. Just as you say that, we’re going to get to do it again. [Applause] does give you an idea of golf is just hard. [Applause] Even for a guy who’s number one in the world. Got it. [Applause] only an eight shot lead. That’ll work. [Applause] And there are a lot of people waiting down this 18th hole and up around the 18th green. That is four from 251. Also headed right. [Music] [Music] He ties the record full circle for Sheffler. Scotty wins for the first time this year and it comes in the event he attended as a kid. Why? Thanks for watching the PJ tour on YouTube. Your videos are always so helpful! Thank you for the new knowledge! ✨🍓
Scheffler revealing himself to be the real deal indeed and could challenge all the records. Tiger was derailed by the trappings of human nature, success and fame… that doesn't seem likely to happen with Scottie. Maybe he can contend for the major wins record.
By far one of the most dominant performances displayed, close to tigeresk
🤯 I can't believe Scheffler is only 28 years old 👏👏
