So, in this video, we’re going to take a look at the Callaway Elite lineup in the three-wood category. They have four different models in three woods to choose from. There’s a lot to go at. So, we’re going to test every single model of those, give you some feedback of the performance of those golf clubs, as well as maybe the type of golf that might suit into one of these sorts of models. Plus, we’ve got the brand new Elite Titanium 3wood to test as well. So, stay tuned. Right. Okay. So, four different models. There’s a lot to go out here from Callaway in the Elite lineup. So, we’ve got the Callaway X, the larger profile, more forgiving, probably easier to use in terms of launching the golf ball from the ground. We’ve then got the standard elite fairway wood, which again is very forgiving. Again, very easy to sort of launch. We’ve then got the triple diamond, as you can appreciate, a little bit more compact. Again, a little bit of a different look on the top of the golf club. And then we’ve got the brand new Elite Titanium, which obviously, as the name suggests, we’ve got some some titanium head as well as the carbon in there. maybe for that extra bit of distance which we’ll obviously we’ll test in this video. Okay, so for the uh test here I’m going to use exactly the same shaft and grip in each of these heads. And it’s the Tensai Black 1K75 in an X with my Golf Pride MCC plus4 midsize grip, which is the grip I sort of use. So I’m going to keep this test as fair as I’m going to set them all at just standard neutral. So all 15° head threewoods all set as uh neutral and uh standard in the neck setting. So, I’ve just hit a back with the the Elite X. So, the Elite X is obviously the more friendly of the four models that they offer. Uh, a little bit more bigger profile, a little bit easier to launch. Probably a head that I probably wouldn’t go into too much, and that tends to create a little bit more spin on the golf ball, a little bit easier use. So, maybe great for a golfer who maybe has a little bit less speed, maybe struggles to fly the 3-wood, the X is a very good option. So, we’re going to start hitting some now with the standard elite. So, probably the more popular one of all the elite models I would probably say on there suiting a lot of club golfers. Again, providing a lot of forgiveness. Nice low profile head, which I really like with the Callaway fairway wood. So, it looks very inviting to sort of hit off the ground and get it launched. We’ve got that carbon gray back section with that more of that matte darker black front area to the head. Looks really nice sort of behind the ball. Golf ball sits very nice and square. Oh, right. Okay, that was a little bit off the bottom. Just leaking a little bit more me on that ball flight. So, we know that spin’s probably going to creep up there and lose a bit of yardage. And it has done that. You can see 4,000 spin a little bit high. Again, that’s through my strike. And we’re testing all these from the ground cuz I always like to test three wood or fairway woods from the ground. This is a harder test as opposed to it being up on a teg. Okay, that’s a complete reaction to that right miss. Just tug that one up. That’s more penetrating. That will go a hell of a lot further. That’ll be a lower spin. There we go. Look at the difference of distances between those two shots. Same club head speed. Completely different ball speed because of my strike. Completely different spin because of my strike. And that’s something you’ve always got to look into when you’re testing golf clubs, not just threewoods, but drivers, irons, anything like that. You got to look at your strike and your pattern. Okay, there’s the last one of the five with a standard one. Just a little bit of the left pulled, but good strike there. Bit more controlled spin when I match that face to path. Okay, let’s move on to the triple diamond. Right, so switching the shaft now over into the Elite Triple Diamond. So, if you liking more of a clean look down by the golf ball, this is probably the club for you. Definitely a more traditional looking golf club. This is really come from the tour players and their preference of what they want to sort of look at. So, triple diamond. Typically speaking, we’re going to see a little bit more of a compact head that we sort of do. We’d see that with the driver a little bit. We’ve now got a completely glossed out top of the golf club. Now, we still got the carbon in there, but it just don’t see the graphics of the carbon. It’s black. It’s glossed out. We just got the elite logo on the inside of the heel. No alignment logo. Now, again, the tour players say they don’t like to sort of see that. So, it’s a very much a cleaner looking golf club. A little bit more squat, touch deeper on the club face. This is trying to promote more of a lower launch and a little bit more faster ball speed. Again, same shaft obviously moved over into this. Looks fantastic down by that golf ball. Sits incredibly square. Very clean looking in comparison to the other two. And obviously a lot more squat. Oh, that’s a great strike. Little bit of a left to right fade on that. Fantastic sound. Good flight. Felt very solid. Okay, nice straight golf shot on that one. Climbed a little bit on me. Touched low in the face, granted. Yeah. So, again, there’s a really good example of how strike is so important when it comes to the spin of the golf club. I’ve got a triple diamond in my hand. Weight is more forward. It’s trying to promote a lower spinning ball flight. That completely doesn’t 4,000 spin purely because of the strike. So, again, strike is so so important. I think when you’re hitting fairway woods from the ground, typically that strike pattern will be a touch lower in the club face. So, if you are a high spinner of the golf ball, maybe the triple down will help to try and control that. And that’s a totally different uh strike, totally different ball flight, flatter on its peak, more penetrating. Look at the spin. Much much lower. Strike is king, guys. And again, better strike, great ball flight. I think when I get that going, it looks to be a touch lower. Obviously, we’re going to look at some numbers at the end of this, but does look a little bit more penetrating there. So, we’ll hit one more with a triple dam, then we’ll move into the new Titanium Elite. Yeah, that’s a lovely penetrating ball flight when I get that strike right. Always player dependent. Yeah, pretty decent number. Okay, so finally, let’s switch over into the new Titanium 3-wood from the Elite family, Elite Titanium. So, this was a slightly later launch from the original Elite launched earlier this year in 2025. It’s a different price point. So, just talking about the prices, these three would. So, the standard Elite and the Elite X are coming in at £39 at the moment. The Triple Diamond slightly more expensive at £319. And then titanium one. As you’re gonna expect, it’s a lot more money at £399 for a fairway wood. Titanium body, titanium face with the carbon now. So obviously trying to help a little bit on ball speed again, maybe a little bit hotter off that club face. So this titanium is a little bit of a mix of the standard elite fairway and and the triple diamond. And so we’ve got the triple diamond sort of slightly deeper club face in this titanium with a little bit more of the longer sort of elite forgiveness levels of the uh standard elite range. Two weighted screws in the bottom which obviously are interchangeable. We can switch these around. I’ve got a 10 g weight and a six g weight. Okay. So obviously we can switch those around depending if you want to get that ball flight tuned in a little bit more. I’ve got the 10 g weight at the back. I’m going to hit some with this and then I’m going to switch that 10 g weight forward and see if that does anything with that ball flight. But popping that down the golf ball a little bit bigger front to back against the triple diamond. We see the slightly deeper face of the triple diamond. But now we see the carbon effect coming in. So we haven’t got that black gloss finish that we had in the triple diamond. Touch up the left. Wasn’t the greatest of strikes if I’m being honest, but that seems to have flown quite nicely. So maybe a little bit forgiveness level kicking in there. Okay, there’s that one. Slightly low in the face. The flight was really good. Actually didn’t look quite as spinny as the other ones when I hit it low in the club face. Yeah, 36. So, that’s gone up a little bit, but not up to the 4,000 mark. So, control a little bit of that spin. Again, bear in mind that heavy weight is at the back. Typically allows us to create a little bit more forgiveness in the head, but maybe a little bit more spin as well. So, if I want to try and control that spin, I’m going to pop this weight a little bit forward in a minute. We’ll hit one more. That’s a good strike. Beautiful ball flight. Feels good off the club face. Little bit of a different sound to the others, I think, just with that bit of titanium and a bit of that carbon. Right. So, I’m just going to switch these weights uh around here now. So, I’m putting that six g weight at the back. And I’m going to put that 10 g weight now forward in the head. So, potentially a little bit lower launch, maybe a little bit lower spin. That’s a good strike. Nice ball flight. Great sound to that to be fair. Yes, that spin has to come down a little bit there. So, that’ll be an interesting one. That has a little bit of a fade. Beautiful ball flight. I quite like that slight left to right shape on that. That’s a good ball strike arrow straight. Lovely trajectory to that. Okay, so there we go. Let’s hit some hit with the titanium fairway wood. Let’s look at some numbers a little bit more detail. Okay, so number-wise, these are all your averages of the shots I’ve just hit there. So you can see the X actually with club head speed was a little bit slower. Um, didn’t really sort of feel that to be honest. So I imagine if that ball club head speed was a little bit more, that ball speed obviously will go up into probably that 154 area. So going to be a very similar sort of numbers. I would probably say a touch more spin uh there. So obviously just drops off a tiny little bit more, a little bit more of a land angle. So again, more of a golfer who’s trying to get that ball picked up off the ground a little bit easier with some forgiveness. Standard Elite. Again, similar sort of profile really, just a little bit more compact. Going into the Elite Triple Dime, you see that spin’s gone up as an average there. Now, again, I caught some off the bottom of the club face. So, this so important. I always sort of say this strike is very important when you look at these spin numbers. Yes, the club will try and promote a low spin, but the end of the day, if that strike’s a little bit low, that spin is going to go up a little bit. And the similar one there with the weight back three and a half uh spin there with the titanium one 247. Move the weight more forward. You can see that spin’s just come down a fraction there, hasn’t it? Launch hasn’t really sort of changed. Ball speed gone up a fraction there. Right. So, there’s four heads hit. And I think again, it proves to the point there that strike is so important. The player delivery is so important. I’m not a robot. I don’t hit the middle of the golf club every single time. So, we’ve got to look at those misses. I know where my misses tend to sort of be, and it generally is a little bit low in the face, both 3-wood and also with driver. Post comments down below. Let me know your thoughts. Which one would you go for? Would you pay that extra for the titanium? Maybe off those results you probably wouldn’t. But again, you so important for you to go and test these yourself. Hopefully catch up with you all very soon.

  1. With the exception of the x model the numbers don’t change significantly between the other models. Interesting they need 4 different 3 woods.

  2. Speaks to the goodness of the triple diamond. Also worth noting the Titanium 5 wood is adjustable and the triple diamond 5 is not adjustable. Also triple diamond has a 7 wood.

  3. Hi Michael, I’m just wondering how the Mizuno STG titanium holds up against the ai face of the titanium Callaway? In terms of feel, forgiveness and distance.
    Thank you for your time.

  4. Isn’t the AI Smoke built more like the Elyte Titanium? That was s what I use for a 3W and I love it. I’ve been shying away from my driver (AI Smoke TD) and using the 3W and 19* Apex UW more to get off the tee box.
