this is how we want to generate some force in the golf swing this is power a great way to work on your sequence the start of the swing and the rhythm of your swing is with the rope and I’ve got a rope here made by my friend EA tishler a fellow top 100 teacher and it’s really simple the weight of the rope with these hinge points is going to move when I start moving my pressure and really simply I’ll just hold it connected to my belly and I’m just going to start rocking from side to side and when I start moving pressure from foot to foot the Rope is moving at an opposing time in other words my pressure is leading the direction of the Rope so as I shift from side to side the Rope is simply following this is exactly what we want to do in our golf swing you want to have your pressure leading the back swing and the down swing it’s not the club pulling back first and then the CL pulling down first but your body pressing to the trail side back and down and this rhythm is great to just get a feel for how your pressure starts to lead going back and through so you get a great feel for the rope and another one is just to take a club take an iron and really hold it out in front of you and what I like to do is just hinge the club a little with your hands out in front and you’re going to do the same thing just kind of start with your pressure to your back back foot and then swing back and that gives you a great feel of leading your back swing with your pressure now when you get this down and you start it away you’re going to make a more rhythmic swing just start back with your pressure to the top and through leading with pressure back into your front foot you can actually hit a golf ball this way starting out with the hinge Rock back with the pressure and hit through it’s a terrific way to get the sequence and the right order remember you’re always leading the back swing with the pressure then your club and the down swing the same way your pressure leads and then the club follows this is the order and these are great drills that you can practice to get it down for your game
