Biggest week in women’s golf is coming to Jersey City at the Missouo America’s Open at Liberty National Golf Club with eight of the top 10 LPGA players teeing off for a $3 million purse. But it’s more than just for the pros. It’s one of the only tournaments where rising junior golfers compete alongside LPGA pros. For moms, it’s a chance to show kids what’s possible. When they see themselves in these young players, it sparks something that lasts far beyond the final round. And I remember being a five or six year old girl and going out to LPJ events and just wanting so badly to be inside the ropes with them and wanting to know what they’re thinking and how they’re hitting their shots. And so it’s just been kind of a childhood dream for me. And what Missou does with this week for the juniors is incredible. Um all of the girls that I’ve talked to that have played in the junior portion of this event absolutely love it and we look forward to it for months prior. Um, so it’s just really special for all of us. With free admission for kids under 17 and easy fairy access from Manhattan, it’s the perfect day out for families and fans.
