Golf – Laurence’s 230 yard drive on the 12th at Whitley Bay.
At 6579 yards, the course isn’t long but it is a great test of golf and has hosted many national and county events over the years, including a European Tour event in 1977, graced by some of the greatest golfers in history, including Harry Vardon, James Braid, Seve Ballesteros, Nick Faldo, Lee Trevino and Greg Norman.
