[Music] hello and welcome back to the Back 9 here at the first practice round of the 2025 season I am Jeremy coing got Paul MC Beth Paul eberry here we are playing Tuesday triples we’re calling it a format that we’re going to kind of mix up throughout the season not always just going to do the singles practice round sometimes we’ll do this maybe we’ll play stable for or do some weird things but we’re going to mix it up this season have some fun with it um leave some suggestions if you want in the comments so what kind of format maybe we should look into um but on the front nine uh in our quest to shoot as low as possible in our triples round we got to six under um pretty good score I think there’s pretty much one hole where we feel like we could have got a bird that we didn’t and the other two were pretty tough yep yep uh what we have to say about the back we got we got to go seven yeah we predicted a 13 yeah we got to go seven we predicted a 13 well I guess I predicted a 13 you predict you guys didn’t say but I mean it’s your course you’re allowed to predict whatever this looks like an actual mic this is ala from New Zealand anyways um let’s go let’s go we got one Eagle hole ho 16 oh yes whole 16 is Eagle B so if we mess up we do have a little bit of insurance in our back pocket let’s get to it yeah you [Music] canow hole 10 is one of these holes that I would put under the uh category of bonus birdie 341 one very low ceiling uh very narrow tunnel you are just trying to avoid these three trees in the middle and keep it underneath that ceiling and then hit that Hillside if you can see the short basket the Red Basket if you can just miss that left side and hit that Hillside and get to about 30 feet job well done very very narrow very specific t-shot huge slope to the right if you kick right you can find yourself in a really tough to save par situation let’s go no hadin stinks booties on this hole Yeah did flip mine a little I thought I hit it perfect but I might go nuke here that rock will never hinder me again yes oh get through it get through it beat it it did we’re GNA have uphill putt up what a shot we found our match we found our Rhythm speak of Rhythm we definitely did find a restroom MVP makes a rhythm yeah that’s prec curious all right oh Paulie oh flipping too that was a brand new one dude all three of those started on lines that I really like I like that must be windy up there yeah I think the wind flipped it I mean actually it’s pushing more left to right than headwind yeah but if it gets over at all it pulls it well we all probably threw slightly understable discs yeah mine’s just kind of a straight Fairway driver yeah I don’t know what happened to not really Fairway driver is it can you imagine we talk all this stuff and then we just miss this hole just open yeah I could imagine I think this I’m visualizing it right now unfortunately this is a hole I think think I feel a sense of forgiveness if if there’s a part on this one yeah no it’s a tough bird the hardest part three is back here jer what’s that last year I got this whole all three rounds no you did not yeah that’s crazy same spot left about 40 feet or something I don’t know if I got it at all I remember putting a sidearm in the bullseye and feeling like it was the greatest sh I’ve ever thrown in my entire life that’s crazy I I feel like I was playing side that one one arm at this tournament last year and it wasn’t my right one if it was a Tailwind it would be a really good forehand hole for a flippy proba crave mine might be better hey guys hold on a second this one’s got a a slick back foot and a tree in the way okay okay wait should we take germs it’s closer said it back yeah I mean it sounds this is 100 ft this one n oh no come on that was that was embarrassing that was light in the heart I should have laid it up what’d you lose I lost my favorite marker a a Sharpie or mini a mar I like a Sharpie but Faber man anyways it’s a Statler we need you to make this Statler finep well I felt the Sharpie hit my back and so I thought I figured that one fell out too oh gosh J oh no come on leave it to me that’s fine dang it that’s fine I’m going to make it got to get it there I’ve been on these last [Applause] mon oh yes yeah let’s an let’s go dude how did you throw something with zero spins from 65 ft I don’t get it I didn’t see thank you you want another putt at it no no no no okay ho 11 523 foot par 4 a ton of gaps really small gaps you want to throw I would guess between 23 and 300 feet anywhere in there we’ll give you a shot up the hill really tight narrow upill to the right tight green backdrop behind it if I remember correctly I one of the easier par fours out here though oh yeah just go buy a million of them at your local retail store guys they’re on pre-order right now if you are listening to this please order a chil and you can you can do things like PA right there you think P best’s good at disl no no it’s the C rap it’s the captain Raptor dude me the green light if you watch the last couple hes haven’t thrown a good one since until I pulled that Captain Raptor out that’s true that’s a fair point is that too far right no you want to like there’s a lot of room to right yeah that’s good that’s fine want to be a little left of that but yeah that’s good no I think you’re great okay cool what do I do I want to try this little better cut roller maybe cut roll okay over the hill and okay that’s a good idea Jer you go first before I even throw a shot I’m supposed to seems about right why do I feel like those Banners are shouting at me all right cut rollers discover you’re a champion discover you’re a champion discover you’re a champion I mean that’s how Kenny talks proba is oh go shot oh my gosh oh my gosh good try good try that was really close the one you’re going to in the okay unless that’s it jerem I think you’re going to like the first one way better damn it that was going to be pretty hot just oh no that kicked right to the perfect spot did it really yeah look where it’s at yeah I see it now you want to be at least as far as kind of where that green one is and it’s it’s a simple upshot but this one this one I want want to move in the future too and I’ll show you when we walk back let me know you guys’ thoughts all right we’re going to have a debate when we get up here on what what color is this yellow yellow this is yellow right yeah what color is that one up on the ground up there green green that’s green all right let’s look how close these are in color next to each other and when does it change from yellow to Green they’re both still yellow green so close no they’re not it’s the same all right hold on maybe that’s not the right disc sorry this right here is this yellow that’s a mix between the two this is this is green that’s a mix between this is green that’s more this is yellow that’s that’s a mix between the two for sure these are these are this one is clearly green and one is clearly yellow yeah those are green but I think I think germ the difference is when you take when when you take the sunlight out it gets all right put them upside down cuz no stamp green green yellow oh my God yeah yeah I don’t agree I don’t agree where are you guys at right here PA perfect so you can see our C2 our C2 marker C2 marker okay yeah all right and it’s elevated so I’m throwing it in go in oh that sound like cage that sounded like cage that cage sounded like cage oh my God what the cage what the heck that was awesome I had the height ah I probably should put one of those in my bag I hit this a flippy H would be yes you did you hit it hard that was a perfect t- shot bud thanks yeah in turnament I go sidearm there too boys just so you know I oh sure yeah I don’t think you throw cut roll I think we were thinking oh okay so this is what did I mean it’s kind of nasty I’m thinking putting the this is our Gap to where it emphasizes you have to get a deeper for a a line to the green bro I I remember throwing one of the dummest approaches last year I was way short of the corner look back Paul yeah there’s one gap between those trees I threw the same I had to go forand Ander through that and I put it Bullseye I remember just the same shot but I did with a flippy flippy Onyx yeah yeah nice one Paul and you screwed us all we got to take that lie did this hit the cage yeah nice Gage yeah does that screw you over or is that just inconvenient just inconvenient okay whole 12 par three for the mo 563 ft this one is I think the throw down the mountain hole um it has always been a pretty iconic one but we have for myself I’m throwing a long forehand I think is going backhand here right yeah so it’s got options but you just got to get it down there Fade to the right honestly the headwind helps me but yeah we got a headwind today I I I can’t believe AB hit the base with a raptor that’s me or was it it was a Venom it was a venom venom I always confuse them CU they both had that jawbreaker look they were like the clear jaw breakers that he was throwing both I don’t I want to throw as level as it as it forces me to because I feel like by the time it gets down there it’s just stalling yeah can you imagine hitting these first trees and staying back here oh my God bro that would be so I haven’t seen it happen yet but it’s going to happen it’s happening every tournament you just aren’t seeing it too flippy dang it too much grip that’s say besties too grippy yep go all right OB OB oh no oh no J what’s that it’s a little bit stronger than I thought that’s too high have time too high to get there might get a long tossing opportunity all right I’m going to throw this one I brought this for this I’m I’m going to throw a second one I’m definitely throw a second one I might throw I probably thir dang it my opportunity to be a big boy never had it oh too early chill could get really lucky though definely all right we’re taking your J sweet 130 ft short just this most scared out of everything what’s that if you were blind oh yeah want me pick this up thanks well you wouldn’t always be that way you adjust because that’s what we do as humans I don’t know y you just saying you can’t always be blind no he said if you were blind you w you won’t always be scared oh it would be scary at first especially if you’re cool but um like realistically I probably should have taken way more time off but uh like last year alone with and last year yeah cuz I yeah I got stem cells like Jan jary 27th and this tournament was February like less than a month later yeah right so I probably should have taken my more time off and like rehabed and then came back like may maybe oh but um I just I don’t know I I had sat out the year before cuz I got hurt in July and then I played world so I like did rehab enough to play worlds what was ailing you then well I tore my labrum at European open yeah that’s right the day before the um President’s Cup okay so every day it just got worse and worse and worse and worse and worse to the point where like I couldn’t lift my arm like yeah so um I just did a lot of rehab until worlds so I didn’t play any tournaments like I had to drop out of European open missed ledone missed deagle so missed all Discraft Flagship events yeah dang it then play worlds and then I didn’t play anything the rest of the season then I had the baby well Hanah had the and that was that was 2023 yes okay and then um R three and and then we just tried to rehab thank you and then I ended up getting stem cells on like well I was supposed to get them sooner I was supposed to get him December but something happened to the point where I couldn’t go and get him cuz I had to get him in Texas uhuh and you got him in January and I end up getting him in January said everything back should have but you didn’t take the time off yeah and then I just played um which it like I should have just stayed home and rehabbed and then got everything ready and then played but I had already taken so much time off the year before that I didn’t want to wait so maybe I’ll make up for last year with this year this year you know win like three or four get a couple Majors what yeah why not yeah this one Switched so now we’re going to where the women’s pad is whole 13 is a new Par 3 426 ft this one is apparently pretty tough um same hole as last year as far as the teapad and the Fairway goes but instead of playing to the par 4 position which was elevated last year little bit too easy of a par 4 so they made things really difficult brought the basket in about 40 feet or so just a little bit to the right um might be a roller I really don’t know what else maybe backhand turnover but this is we’ll be learning today what do we do now we just missed again um you’re the anchor I’m the anchor I’ve never been anchor so I go second you go first oh no you went first just now I can keep going first yeah there’s no way to actually get it perfect so hurry I I appreciate that that was a risk reward I I do appreciate that you want to go more early no no I pulled it a little too inside pulled it pulled it a bit I don’t think that would have got there either too wide yeah so like like this whole like if you want to play par it’s pretty easy yeah but I mean it’s a tough par from there yeah but you were going for the bird like if you want to play party just pitch a forehand yeah I think I’m going to go roller I haven’t done the Hiser but apparently it’s there that’s too wide yeah but it could get lucky no yeah it did wow that’s yeah I’m going try to roll it you’re an anchor guy really that’s what I’ve always thought exactly you’re the hold down the boat you’re the butt of the GR [Laughter] man damn that wasn’t good so is this the only hole that we have a a scrambling potential yeah like a true yeah sure there’s a lot of little tiny scrambles to where you have to land soft around the green he said he cut more trees so I don’t know what like these four if these four trees were gone I could see it like on the inside corner right here what what a I mean the flex line is definitely there it exists but yeah you see what I’m saying the basket should have been 30 ft shorter 30 40 yeah then it would just be a gentle anheiser yep I said I don’t know and I like I love the idea of a blind gentle anheiser 390 yeah we play those all the time that’s a great shot challeng all the Great Courses we play have that yeah I agree well it’s been Nick but we have a you’ll probably meet them throughout the week but they’re uh it’s like a local landscaping family okay so they want to start doing that stuff well like like but Nick’s the one that’s finding and they’re the ones doing the work is that what you’re saying oh no who’s finding that no so you know CR wheelie yeah of course so he came and local Florida Legend he been playing since the 80s yeah easily since the ‘ 80s like he I think helped get clo into tournaments and clo and him won like uh World doubles titles some yeah some cool stuff yep oh we got a look yeah we got to look um so yeah so he was telling Kevin that they used to have a pad up there or something so like this would be it would probably flip part three or would be a part four my guess is a part three get there my goodness yie my goodness I’ve hit nothing but cage today my man my man chip chingle that is a bonus dude I think we just got away with one here you go heck yeah dude well after missing that last one yeah we this is this makes up well you said 12 was one of the ones that you could kind he sh it he shed it alive it rolled out we still have an eagle potential maybe yeah we had room to miss two and we missed I mean we should have missed this one instead of the last one we missed two no no no I’m saying we you think 12 is a we missed two yeah 12 is a one we got to oh cuz we missed 10 yep whole 14 764 feet Par Four out the gap seen a lot of people get into trouble actually hitting this cap early left going too far into the weeds don’t want to do that you want to be skipping left and then you’ll have a left right Bender into the green pretty pretty stereotypical kind ofle really part four really good and stuff I freaking missed a shout out to Dustin 05 foot of Eagle last year on know yep kind of cool oh he said you could do it oh and he straightened it out that’s not that’s not what we want kick out dead dead door Nails all right I’ll put us in the middle don’t worry boys I got us I can’t get there that’s why oh middle long shot in but we take oh yeah big bom Boomstick thanks give him the boomstick huge shout out to Chad and Brad from MVP all the fans in the MVP Community Andrew for being my homeboy everyone for accepting me into the family this has been such an awesome introduction into this new language of the gyro stuff I am absolutely loving every bit of this adventure and uh also huge shout out to Eagle and Simon and any of the fans who have sent me disc but eagle and Simon specific specifically each sent me a box of their goodies and that’s really helped me along my way to finding the best drivers mids Putters and all that so just I just want to say thank you so much it’s been so much fun I couldn’t I couldn’t think of the uh par five for some reason it’s like the best back yeah I couldn’t think I couldn’t visualize it until I finally saw there I’m like oh yeah I lost a disc in there oh there’s the 4 five got it how many discs come out of here when the water goes away is they’re like oh they just like seep into the soil and they just become like graveyards for discs or sorry say that again this this hasn’t flooded at all last year it was there was since last year hasn’t flooded at all well I’m just saying like when the water dries up are people finding like hordes of discs or what oh I don’t know if it no I don’t think so no one really throws in there it’s not like it’s not like it’s in the middle of the Fairway I threw in there for sure yeah so it’s not like there’s a whole bunch of discs that fall in there oh no guys I outd drove it yeah but is this your drive you yeah 934 ft uh this is an eagle chance for us we really have to get our drive down there probably 550 I guess but with the distance we can do that um but the goal stay in the middle stay in the middle get yourself a putt get yourself a look for birdie or eagle and we need need that oh I like that oh baby green light Nice Shot dude it’s going to be a long second shot but it’ll it’s in play oh not that flippy I thought it was going to oh do that Flip Flip turd yeah get down big get down if it just doesn’t get under that branch on the left that land under that so many times dead may you might be far not going to be able to do well maybe I think you can reach that it’s probably not that far it just looks far cuz it’s uphill all right basket’s only 435 the red one is only 358 lift a little oh that’s really good skip okay Jer you got green light yeah I mean but how do I do that at 66 well I went low there’s a higher there’s a gap here J all right there is a there’s a little window okay just was awesome there it is that’s what I needed with that green one that green one would have popped up we got that is a we got to study your throw there that that low pushing flip up that was to get that much distance with it up when my release Point’s here I can’t like push it out here that’s I think I think it’s just lowering the front half just relying on your quads and it’s just a highly technical throw that I mean I think anyone can appreciate but just knowing what I know I feel like I can appreciate it on a deeper level mhm than than Paul cuz he doesn’t really get these things you know little slow upstairs it’s okay the fact that I know it is a attribute I love when he say a little slow upstairs and he pulls out these words ping all day first one that came about six holes after saying for curious I’m not searching for that it just popped up there it was lucky he just in the morning he studies three words in the dictionary he’s going to pull out today I’m going to say this dude it actually looked like it was going to go it was a great line it just was flying like a wounded duck oh that’d be a good little clip where you like put and it’s just and you put it it’s my button oh that one looked pretty smooth and it would have been 9 get out of the way bro goodness you think if I put again it’s going to be short again with the with the extra little you moved it though yeah it will be you do it J Josh oh that’s just that’s just high oh Josh seriously watch out just right into a Ser watch the to all right we couldn’t get it done dang it well good birdie guys yeah yeah hey we could still get to 13 oh yeah we still got 13 we can get 14 whole 16 we got a brand new teapad here um similar length is terms of how far you want to get off the tea from last year 16 if you guys remember that hole uh but this one is forcing uh a high Flex Shot left to right but you can’t go too far right because as soon as you get down the hill there’s out of bounds on the right side um of the Fairway which is the road that you might remember from last year a great t- shot puts you in a position to kind of go excuse me Paul a great t-shot put you into position that a hand up my bad on me from a great t- shot you’re jutting left um almost a dog leg left but this is going to require a perfect t-shot and a really good approach all right you guys trust me throwing this disc as my as my official shot or yeah I love it this is the what is this one the patreon giveaway patreon giveaway perfect oh that is so good right uh it’s a little right it needs skip skip oh it’s skipped it’s going to be close it’s a little being OB yes oh there’s your trees that might have a look too there’s an inside Gap over there but it’s kind of the par I don’t know what to throw I don’t have this disc in my bag how am I 66 and I’m thinking that this hillsides in my way like I’m concerned about it well you should how are you guys cuz you’re throwing a turnover so it should just start um we these can really blast it a goport and sidearms and um the water is gone that is short right OB that is worst case scenario that should be good that bush down there’s gone so that should be good amazing t-shot down here you go backhand you go forehand you can throw it straight you can try to bend the corner give yourself the best look for a birdie possibility um but 680 ft you get most of the distance here off the te and then tight little tight little window going up to the green but uh just an incredible finishing hole I’m glad this is our final hole there’s one thing that’s not realistic there’s not 80 M hour ripping up this tunnel into your face which is like every time I play this hole I feel like it’s how it always is somehow like right now now it’s like oh this is easy but then tournament time as soon as the tournament starts you’re like what am I going to do to get down there a tornado just comes up this hill somehow also that Saw Grass down there is pretty iconic do you know why why is that because this is the a tier that Austin Turner beat Ken clo when he was like 18 clo threw his t- shot right into it and it rolled OB oh that’s right yeah yeah yeah so that’s right
