An airplane that was scheduled to land at Santa Monica Airport near Los Angeles made an emergency landing on Riviera Country Club on Friday, and incredibly, all three passengers aboard were unharmed and the plane was in good shape.

The incident occurred at approximately just before 1 p.m. near 1250 N. Capri Drive. First responders from both the Los Angeles Fire Department and the Santa Monica Fire Department were quickly on the scene.

This isn’t a rarity: Air traffic controllers often steer pilots toward golf courses during controlled crashes. For example, in 2015, Harrison Ford landed his plane on a course next to the same airport, Santa Monica.

This happened at Riv today. I pray I’m never this late for a tee time, but I do pray for the means to pull up this way if I was 😂 pic.twitter.com/00RzIdMrb8
