The Trump siblings have large age gaps, making Donald Trump’s youngest son closer in age to his niece Kai
The public were shocked to learn that the age gap between Donald Trump’s eldest grandchild and his youngest son is not very big at all.
While Barron has been the target of the media’s attention for several years now, the world was officially introduced to Kai during Trump’s presidential campaign last year. The 17-year-old appeared on stage at the Republican National Convention and gave a charming speech that many people credited for humanizing Trump.
Though she and Barron could pass for siblings, Barron is actually Kai’s uncle. He is just one year older than his niece.
Barron, 18, was born on March 20, 2006, to former model Melania Trump and Donald Trump. He was Melania’s first child, but Donald’s fifth. Donald Trump was 60 years old when he welcomed his last child. Just a year later, he would also become a grandfather, and Barron, despite being a baby himself, would become an uncle.

Despite having five siblings, Barron was effectively raised as an only child as he is between 13 and 29 years younger than his siblings. Growing up, he would have had more in common with his niece Kai, who was born May 12, 2007. She was the first child of the eldest Trump sibling, Donald Trump Jr and his then-wife, Vanessa.
It appears the two did grow up like cousins, as Kai recently shared that she and Barron used to play hide and seek inside the White House during Trump’s first presidency. She said in a behind-the-scenes glimpse of the inauguration day: “Me, Barron and Donny, we used to play hide and go seek… and also on the front lawn [we] would play soccer.”
