Shannon Sharpe and Chad “Ochocinco” Johnson react to Colorado QB Shedeur Sanders falling out of the first round of the 2025 NFL Draft. The guys dive into why teams like the Pittsburgh Steelers and New York Giants—who chose Jaxon Dart instead—decided to pass on him. With the spotlight of his Hall of Fame father Deion Sanders and a massive media presence, Unc and Ocho ask the big question: Does Shedeur come with too much baggage, or is the league making a mistake?

So, please subscribe or you’re going to make oo crack. [Music] Do it, man. Oo, what if you don’t go here? I mean, he he he’s going here. It It makes sense. It It only makes sense. You heard that, right? What are the people in Pittsburgh thinking right now? Do Do Steelers fans want Shadur Sanders like the answer? They get a DT. Oh man. [Music] So if if we’re at 20, if we’re He was a lineman. So Cam Hayward, he’s still there. But you know, they play a 34. So he, you know, he is the in opposite of Cam. Okay. Wow. So if if you look at it now, there was rumbling that he might slide. He’s he’s it’s happening. It was interesting because just a couple weeks ago all the talk in Cleveland was about do you take Shadur and I think more than 50% thought that Shadur was going to go to Cleveland at number two. Now he’s might fall out of the first round. Not he not going to Houston. He not going to the Rams. He’s not going to the Ravens. He’s not going to the Bills. He’s not going to the Eagles. He’s not going to Kansas City. That’s the problem. When you’re a quarterback to Detroit and you don’t get picked in the top half, those teams picking in the second half of the first round, they don’t need quarterbacks. That’s why they went to the playoffs. Let’s talk about Let’s talk about if you do slip out the first round. Yeah. When it comes to the second round, what team still need a quarterback at that point? Cleveland. The Giants. So, there’s still the possibility he can still go to the Giants or Cleveland. Yes. That’s not a bad thing. No, that’s not a bad thing. We don’t see the glasses half full when it’s half full. The seat is half empty. What? You heard the boot. They took a dackle for Morgan. I’m trying to feel like we got a few Steelers fans are feeling a little upset right now. I wish he had the mic here. Give him the mic. Wow. Oh, wow. The man’s never had a losing season and we’re calling for him to get fired up here. Wow. Get out of here. Well, there’s at least a few Steelers fans who are excited. excited. The fans like him. Not this one. But we talk about Pittsburgh. Well, hell, if he go to the Cleveland, they play the same teams that the Steelers play and everybody outside. Oh, yeah. He go to the Giants. Yeah, they outside. Yeah. And it’s cold. Yes. [Music] No, he’s not going to the Chargers, the Bills. Oh, he ain’t going to the Packers. Oh, you talking about gold. I thought you talking about Shador. Yeah, that’s a possibility. That’s a big boy, man. They they done salted him up. Huh. They done salted Shador up. Yeah, they they done said all those bad things about, you know, they they did it on purpose. They did enough on him. Yeah, they they did a they did a job on him. He can get his get back, though. He can get his get back. Yeah. Hell, that went in the fourth round and became the highest paid quarterback in NFL history. Hey, and you get to that you get to the bag quicker cuz you know what I’m saying? You got you don’t get that fifth year option if you’re in the second round. Oh man, Steelers love the big old lineman like that. They can’t help themselves. They can’t help themselves. They got to pick a D lineman. You got a big D lineman. They just can’t help themselves. They they love they love them five tanks. I mean, he looked just like he I mean, he he reminds you of Cam Hayward. Yeah. Yeah. Absolutely. Man, I that that that that kind of that that that that upsets me a little bit. I’m I’m I think I I think we all surprised other than the Steelers. Yeah, they they don’t look surprised at all. They’re I’m trying to figure out what’s your answer at the quarterback position to be able to compete in the AFC North. Mason Rudolph. Is Mason Rudolph your answer? You’ve already You’ve already You’ve already tested that question, man. That’s all I could say. You’ve already put Mason Rudolph out there every game. You had him. You let him go to Tennessee for a reason. If he was that guy, you never allow him out of your building. Yep. I don’t know. I I don’t know him leaving and coming back. You think he’s got some great coaching somewhere? What changed? Nope. Nope. I’m I’m confused. I’m making moves like that means you don’t know what to do at that position. You don’t. You got no plan. But you know what that tells me? I got security at this at this job though. Exactly. That’s what that tells me. Joe, listen. I’m not surprised that they traded back in the first round. I’m surprised they Yeah. But Oh, Joe, think about it. The last week we started hearing this that people had uh uh Jackson Dart number two. They had Slaw number three. They had slid what you call Look Look what they got gave up. sense second round pick. They gave up a third round pick and a 2 26 third round pick that it’s confusing. I’m not sure what film they were watching. I’m not saying there’s nothing there’s nothing wrong with Jackson Dart, right? But come on now. I mean, come on now. when you It’s kind of like when you look when you go to the grocery store and you got a list, you already know what you want. Yeah, they they they they know the guy that they want. Um, I’m a little surprised. I thought I I thought Shadore played well enough, but hey, they haven’t got it right in a minute. They haven’t They haven’t gotten it right since Eli. Well, they better get it right. They just they they they better get it right. Right. Okay. Okay. Yeah. Wow. But you know the the the momentum has started to build by Shadur possibly sliding out of the first round. We like, okay, he doesn’t go in early. He doesn’t go to Cleveland. and they’ll go to the Giants. It seemed like the both of those teams had their mind made up. Had Cleveland not traded back, they were going to take Travis. Okay, they trade back, get the guy, they still get a a great pick there and they pick up some draft capital along the way. Now, the middle from nine from 10 all the way to 21. Nobody quarterback. So, I’m thinking I’m thinking Steelers. He don’t go 21 to the Steelers. Nobody from 22 to 32. He’s a quarterback. So unless somebody trades back into the first round, Oo, he going to be a day two selection, right? [Music] All right. All right, guys. Coming to the stage, selected number seven overall in 1988, Pro Football Hall of Fame of 2025, my brother Sterling Sharp. Give it up, Pat. Oh, are you getting he getting miked up? [Applause] where you uh uh what do we got? Dart, Jackson Dart. The Giants traded back. They were They were selected number three. They take Abdul Carter. They They come back up into the first round at 26. They make the trade with the Houston Texans. Big Select Jackson Dart. Wow. That’s That’s big. That’s Wow. So, there’s only two quarterbacks gone. Yes. Yes. We knew Cam Ward was going number one. A lot of people thought uh uh Shad would be number two. Yeah. But it’s not how high you go, it’s where you go. He still has an opportunity to go to a great situation. Matt, when you when you look at it now, what’s what’s what other team still need a quarterback? Cleveland. Cleveland. Who else? How about LA? The Rams. The Rams. I mean, uh, Stford’s got to be on the back. Yeah. Yeah. He’s got a year left. That’s a good one. Um, they did take Stson Bennett. I forgot about Yeah. Yeah. Go back. Oh, I forgot. He started at USC. Jackson Dart started at USC. Okay. Everybody that plays quarterback now started somewhere else. Congratulations. Oh, he does got I mean he got a lively arm. Okay. No, he played for Lane Keifin. So he he Oh, Lang that can he can play the position. He’s going to be able to play the position. That’s one thing about Lane. He gonna dial it up now. Wow, what a throw. And you got a lot of control. Quarterbacks have a lot of control in his system, too. Yes. [Music] And he he moves just good enough. Yeah. [Music] Wow. Good catch, boy. Huh? Good catch. What about the throw? Good throw. What about the throw? [Music] Pretty good company. The third Old Miss quarterback to be selected number one in the common draft. Archie and Eli preceded him. Archie was the second pick of the draft. Eli was number one and now we get 26. I like it. I like it. Wow. I don’t know that to me that that Shador Sanders the laboring just sounded much better. Well, they did a job, boy. Thank you guys. Appreciate it. That That is Oh, wow. What you uh You like the Packer selection? I can say yes. I I I mean I don’t I don’t watch enough football to have an opinion. I mean I I I don’t watch football anymore. So I I if he’s a receiver and he can catch, they got a good quarterback in Jordan that can throw it. I mean he should have success here, right? Dave Ball sees traits of Josh Allen and Jackson Dart. Who said that? The head coach. Come on now. Is that is that a compliment? He was his OC. Yeah. When he had that breakout season. Yes, sir. So, the one thing we know, Dave can coach now. Yeah. He said the same thing about Daniel Jones, too, didn’t he? No. Uh, what’d you call him? Uh, uh, he didn’t. He wasn’t the head coach with Daniel Jones, was he? No. Who? He was the head coach, but I don’t think he drafted him. No. Phil, seventh. Philip Rivers fourth, Daniel Jones sixth. I can’t believe that, man. That’s That’s crazy. I think the thing is when you look at the Giants, the Giants, look, they were going to take Shad they were going to take uh Travis or they going to take Abdul Carter. I thought Hey, hold the Falcons traded back in. No, they don’t need a quarterback. Sure don’t. No. No. Hell no. No. Not Will Will Johnson. James Pierce Jr. Jun running back or edge. Either Edge. D. Yeah. I like it. I like it. That’s a good selection. True. Two deep. They took two defensive players. They’re like, “Look, we we got to get better on that side of the football.” They’re like, “I like our defensive coach.” Yes. But their problem was being able to stop people, you know. No, you can’t outscore everybody in this league. You know, they got Bejian Robinson. Yeah. They got uh uh uh uh Drake London. London. Got Kyle Pitts. Kyle Pittz. Uh Mooney. Mooney still there. Yeah. Mooney still Mooney still there. Look at what the Rams got. The Rams got got more for that pick than what the uh uh what the Giants gave up. Wait, which one? They got a second round, a seventh round, and the first this year. Next, they got the first, Nicki. Yeah, next year. I’m telling you, it’s setting itself up for the Rams. I can see the shad with the I mean, I know, man. I’m not trying to get rid of Matt Stafford, but he can’t play forever. Yeah, you got to stay at the transition. Yeah, that was a steal. That’s what got That’s what got the uh uh That’s what got the Steelers in trouble. They let they let Yeah. They let Ben die on the vine. Yeah. [Music] If there’s a quarterback you like, you take you take him a year or two early as opposed to letting your quarterback die on the vine. That’s what happened to Pittsburgh with Ben Rothber. Yeah. They let him stay stay too long. They stay too long and they and they ain’t been they ain’t been able to find an answer yet. Nope. [Music]

  1. Its crazy how they are shocked by this. Saying your going into the draft picking where you will go and having a dad saying he will not let his son go to certain teams would definitely mess with your draft stock

  2. These teams dont have to draft him …. but its not right …ok its not your decision to make

You cant force teams to draft someone they dont wanna deal with. Its a complete circus and he's not that talented to deal with period

  3. I would say texans should take sanders and flip him for a 2nd buttt.. idk maybe take him in 6th a,flip him for 3rd ??

  4. Teams aren’t going to risk success to send a message if he was good enough he would have been picked. Hopefully he can prove them wrong but it’s unlikely

  5. Why wasn't he picked, not that good with a huge ego. A QB that wants to get drafted in first round doesn't give NY an attitude. Lol this is literally life 101 for every normal person. This kid doesn't realize he ain't he's daddy his not generationally talented he had to play the game got what he deserves.

  6. Marshawn didn't get picked better yet sent back to Oakland until Buffalo called he showed his azz every time he touched that field ✊🏾
