According to the latest report from The Dallas Morning News, Amarillo’s golf courses have secured prominent positions in the Top 25 Economy Courses category, which includes courses priced at $69 and under.

The Ross Rogers Golf Complex/Mustang Course was named the top golf course in the state, marking its fifth No. 1 ranking since 2014. The course previously earned the top spot in 2014, 2016, 2017, and 2019. Additionally, the Ross Rogers Golf Complex/Wildhorse Course, which was ranked No. 1 in 2007 and 2010, secured the fourth position in the latest rankings.

Michael Kashuba, director of the City of Amarillo Parks and Recreation Department, expressed pride in the staff’s efforts.

“We are incredibly proud of our staff for maintaining such a consistently high level of performance when it comes to improving and maintaining our city golf courses,” said Kashuba. “We want golfers to enjoy these amenities that add to Amarillo’s quality of life. It is quite an honor for our staff to be recognized for their stewardship of these city resources.”

Amarillo’s golf courses have consistently been recognized for their excellence, with all four city courses ranked in the top 25. The Comanche Trail Golf Complex/Tomahawk Course and Comanche Trail Golf Complex/Arrowhead Course were ranked 15th and 24th, respectively. The Arrowhead Course was previously ranked No. 1 in 2008 and 2009.

With two of the top four courses in the state, Amarillo continues to be a premier destination for golfers seeking quality and affordability.
