Congratulations, my golf starter. You made it to the green. One of the things that you want to pay attention to, though, and and you’ll see this happen with other playing partners, is do you leave the pin in or you take the pin out? Well, in 2019, the USGA and the Royal Ancient, in an effort to make the game a little simpler and speed up pace of play, allowed you to keep the pin in. Previously, if you left the pin in, it was a two-stroke penalty. But you’ll notice here on this one, pace of play, sure, I’d leave it in, but the pin actually leans towards the ball, thus making that that hole a little bit smaller. So here, I would want to take the pin out, line up my putt, and make a good stroke.
