Another great video ❤
Except that they are very expensive.
May I ask what golf courses is that? What a beautiful golf course. I was mesmerized by the backdrop, didn't see a single shot you hit 😂. Great video.
I have the same set of clubs and I love them. When showing distance on 8-LW, I am about 5 yards per club shorter than you. The gapping issue between 9-PW and PW-GW has given me trouble on the course.
Great video once again! The big question is: which set do you prefer? Same length or combo?
Great review. Looks like you have gone for the Jumbomax grips. Ultralight or another model? What size did you go with? Thanks.
Just want a little more cavity
Awesome video! I’ve been very curious about these irons so I appreciate the detail you put into this review!
9I to PW GAP WAS 22 yards. That seemed to be a large gap. Did you feel that way?
I’m using combo length, for me its been difficult to adapt to the wedges … Wedges are longer, feels too ligth with same shaft as the irons, and the head digs too much on the ground. Maybe I should try a bit heavier shafts on the wedges.
Do you shoke down your wedges to play around the greens?
What a great review!! Seriously! I’ve been needing to see something like this regarding Avoda… and you didn’t disappoint! The backdrop and course was mesmerizing!!!
Having played single length cobra's in 4 different year models it's a great concept and works for me everytime with some limitations.
Personally, I'd have Lw-8 at 8 iron length and 4-7 at 4 iron length.
Longer shaft clubs with the higher loft has never been an issue with the 4 models I've played, but shorter shaft clubs with lower lofts has always suffered low flight/spin issues.
To me this set is defying the concept of one length. But at the same time I made my Callaway Apex CF16 to be resemble this combo set of Avoda. It helped my game tremendously…LOL
Aaand how does this compare to Avoda one length set head to head?
Watched one minute of over the top. Then had to leave.
Only problem I see is you usually don't take full swings with wedges and from 9 and 8 irons you have different swings to flight your irons based on conditions
What about the irons shafts? 90g TGI, right?
Isnt it to light for your speed?
Why did you stop the steel shafts?
What grip weight on the jumbo max grips?
@BigSwingKings Would love to see a club length comparison too.
From what I understand, your combo set has the Lob Wedge to 8-iron around 36 inches (9-iron length), while the one-length set is based on 7-iron length at 37 inches.
Since you were fit half an inch short, one 8-iron is close to standard length and the other plays almost like a pitching wedge.
How much did that difference affect your distances?
And if I’m off anywhere, feel free to correct me!
BS VIDEO.
Great video. I’m v tempted with these irons. Now you’ve played with both sets, which ones are you going to stick with? Combo or one-length? I play a links course so a low flighted 4 iron is no issue.
Would you be able to review Avoda's W2 wedge design next? I've very intrigued and might have to pick up a second set of wedges now 😅
Great video! I'm an 65 yrs old Italian tall golfer (1,90mt), a Cobra player, really curious about one length irons, but after 27 years I'm a little bit "scared" about the change: what do you think about it? Fitting on remote could be the right way I reed, isn't it? I'll be waiting for your one vs combo test before making any decision! Excuse me for my bad English…
I've got a set, very forgiving, wont pop off the face and blast into the trees on a miss hit, goes straight but loses some distance.
Tour players are their own brand they’re walking billboards for companies that are willing to pay and cater to their needs. They go to the highest bidder golf is a consumer heavy business. I love your honesty about it just cause Tiger’s sponsored by Taylormade doesn’t mean I’m gonna buy the same brand. I’d rather buy a brand that someone has given a honest review on within my budget. I love your other video with the same length clubs 👍🏻💪🏻
There was a company from Canada I think about 25 years ago, They made a set of irons called Mirror Image irons, they were 3 different lengths, scoring irons, Mid Irons and long airons, within each greoup they were the same length.
I may have a set in storage somewhere, It was one of the companies that made Hockey pucks,
This I think is the way Avoda will go to advance their technology.
They’re horrendous, i have them and can’t even get through a round with them, and ofcourse… no returns after wasting almost $3k
Anybody ever choke down a little?
I have about a half dozen rounds with my single length Avoda's. I elected to buy 6I – LW single length because I've played 4 – 6 in Hybrids which are currently Ping 430s. I love the Avoda's they are very forgiving for forged blades. I am considering going to Wishon Golf to purchase single length hybrids in 5 and 6 because at 6'6" tall I have always struggled with consistent ball positions with regular golf clubs. , I also play 4 and Heavenwood fairway woods from Callaway which also feature the same length shafts with about 15 years gapping
