Bridgestone golf has a very loyal following. The e12 Contact was one of the worst golf balls we have ever tested, so when I found out at the PGA SHOW that Bridgestone was rebranding the lineup, I was excited. Can the e12 Hi Launch, Speed, and Straight achieve redemption?

  1. Bridgestone let's go! Laddie still continues to impress.

Thanks GBA! Made my first birdie today with a Seed SD-15! 167 yard par 3. The Jack is a great alignment tool.

  2. Thankfully Bridgestones are not that easy to find in the UK but I have tried them in the past and, regardless of what big names are attached to their hype, I think they are grossly over rated and I wouldn’t even have them in my practice bag! Getting to the age where I am borderline for Pro V1’s etc but there are so many better balls for golfers like me out there, Triad, Pro Air Tour Response etc!

  3. A good test would be a comparison between the “straight balls” Wilson, Maxfli, this one, Titleist, etc! Thanks for this one!

  4. Great review. Think if you installed some turf, or seeded the 2-3 feet outside the putting surface.you could add a great dimension to reviews, by chipping. pitching from a thicker lie than the green surface.. Thanks again

  5. Off topic, but I’m enjoying my Top Flite Gamers off your recommendation. They play great. Plus they’re only $10/doz!

  6. Nice job Nick. Love your new format with the dispersion chart! Bridgestone never on my radar before the review, and not after!!

  7. Yes, I read some comments below and I too would LOVE to see a "straight Flight" ball comparison video. Let us see dispersion patterns and distances among that group. Thanks again and keep em coming.

  8. I play B rx great ball for 98 mph swing speed. I just tried the E12 speed, and I played it on course and in the simulator. Simulator, it was a good ball, but on course, it could not keep up with my gamer

  9. Thanks for the review. Again, spot on. I find these balls all over the course and play with them, needless to say. When I find them, I do not pick them up anymore

  10. Loved the E12 Soft that never got promoted and then discontinued while pushing the E12 Contact. So they do this confusing rebrand which includes different layers and hard to understand naming and major price jumps. Bridgestone, who is in charge over there??

  11. So let's recap….. 1. Tests badly 2. Looks weird 3. Poor durability 4. Have no idea about the construction 5. Costs too much Survey says……… Ughh Note: The pain on Nick's face tells you everything you need to know about Bridgestone … Stick to tires please…. 😞

  12. Nick, thanks the frankness concerning the lack of transparency. You’ve taught us how to use the different aspects of golf ball construction to suit and our individual game – not disclosing the attributes of a golf ball seems counterintuitive for today’s players.

  13. Interesting it almost like the are just ordering up balls and not doing any r&d and slapping their logo on them. Sad they aren't living up to their legacy

  14. Ive played 2 full rounds and 3 rounds at a chip and putt course so im terrible and haven’t broke 100 yet but Ive used a few brands so far and the Bridgestone e12 straight is my fav so far. I can’t hit vary far yet and have shit swing speed but it seems to be the best for me.

  15. I used the e12 contact last year and have desperate for new ball.
The straightness of the ball was good, but I was loosing yardage.
Stopping power was only good between the 8 and 6 iron because those are typically full shots; hence more spin.
    Zero check was killing me.
I tried a few other balls and was disappointed. My real issue is my swing speed went up so I’m in a grey area of categories.

Need a ball that is for the high end of slow speed, has less side spin, BUT STOPS and checks on chips.
    Seems like a tall order…..
