What a roller coaster, but that’s golf. You said it yourself, it may be considered the easiest venue for The Open, but IT IS a venue for The Open. Sure it’s not great to finish with a double, but links golf is draining for all the reasons you observed. Keep it going ✔️
Peter is SO much better than scratch. Guy's last few score in tournaments were like 68-65-69
Love the videos but always wonder why the change between the medal colours on the scorecard isn’t in between the stokes to make it clear whether 70 is a gold or silver for example.
That positive mindset and self belief really comes through after the 4th shot on the 18th Pete haha.

That little ball has a mind of its own.
Also finding that happy medium between loose and crippling occurs as you age . The pre round routine of limbering up will make you feel more crippled. It’s still good however. Cheers !
Pete’s DOD commentary of “god I’ve struck that unbelievable” had me thinking it was on the green for sure but he quickly shut that thought train down with the rest of the commentary 😂
Must be nice to play these courses. £350 to play it. £450 to play Royal Birkdale in 2026. Shocking how they get away with it.
Great Video as always, remember playing a practice round for the St Andrews Links Trophy years back on a sunny calm day, shot an easy 68. Stopped in a B&B in the town and was woken at 5am by wheelie bins being moved by the wind. Shot 77 the following day in the 1st round, and fought for every par and bogey like life depended on it, standing was an issue, probably best round of golf I've played despite the score. The start of these 2 rounds were like 18 hours apart, can't beat Links golf – magic
On behalf of everyone who has watched this video can I just say how dissapointed we all are that you didn't hold the pose on hole 1 after the birdie. The wind aka Gust of Greatness washed over you. The hat would have been a sacrifice worth making! Great video as always 🙂
Your scorecard needs work Kieran or whoever is in charge of that. Pete’s 3rd hole he got a birdie 4, on the scorecard it said a 3

Great content as always from Pete and the team, but you are being hard on yourself Pete as usual. Tricky windy conditions, there was some excellent ball striking and no doubt the wind affected a few putts. Onwards and upwards !

I TRIED THIS TWICE FIRST TIME NOT SO GOOD BUT SECOND TIME I WAS SO FOCUSED THAT I TOOK THE MONEY AND DID NOT REALISE IT UNTIL IT CAME MY WAY . AND YES I MADE TWO ERRORS THAT COST ME BUT BACK TO THE THOUGHT . WANT.
GIVE IT A GO OVER 4 ROUNDS COMPARE IT TO THE FOUR BEFORE AND JUDGE IT .

BUT THE R&A WOULD NOT MAKE US THINK SO . TAKE THE AMERICANS LEADING IN THAT RORY AND SHANE THING THE TEE SHOT WENT INTO A WASTE AREA AND BUGGER ME THEY GOT A DROP JUST LIKE SOMEONE ELSE WOODS AS I RECALL WELL FANS MOVED A ROCK FOR HIM NOT IN 5 MINS THOUGH .

Great video, your ball striking deserved a better score but for some poor decision making and missed putts. Re your putting, all your misses were left which was a common theme through all of your comp videos from 2024. Great camera work and editing.

Golf is a sport if everyone uses the same golf ball. Golf is a hobby if people use whatever ball they want or can afford, playing any particular design of tee to green course. Though all Golf is connected to the Open Championship, where politics associated with St Andrew's decides etiquette for all people who use the term Golf to describe hitting a ball into a hole.

Honestly can't be arsed anymore with the negative chat and massive expectations Pete has. He's a quality quality player, he needs to lower his expectations and stop looking ahead so much. Until he does he'll just plateau. Would love to see him actually take on board what sports psychologists say or read something like I have , golf beneath the surface , cmon pete

Peter. Your next video. We all know the best great golf balls can improve a round… sometimes.. but what about the “WORST” golf ball. Even a range practice bal.. How much “WORSE” can a round of golf be with the worst golf ball in golf AND, for the avg golfer… Doest it REALLY matter? Are premeiums even worth it for the avg golfer..? Stay tuned.

I love the ring around the hole. I wish CBS and NBC would start using it. At 62, my eyesight wasn’t what it was and on some of the long puts I can’t even see the hole sometimes. An expat in S Florida.
