I had gastric bypass surgery in June of 2024, I had quit golf completely and sold my clubs because I thought I wouldn’t be able to play again.

Congrats on the weight loss! Had a pretty good swing before…

How does your post surgery golf compare with the pre-surgery guy?

Nice job man. Swing looks good. More room to come from the inside now. 🙂

  4. Pretty similar swing tbh but I bet it feels a lot better and is more consistent.

Wait…why wouldn’t you be able to play again?

huge props my guy. but could you have at least swung the same club so we can compare the swing? hahahaha

  7. When you lose that much weight the shaft appears longer.

Congrats on the weight loss and good looking swing ♥️👍🏻

This is so great man, incredibly proud of you. I went from 450 to 170 so I know this feeling. Being able to swing freely without a giant bowling ball in front of your body makes golf a lot more enjoyable. Keep up the great work!

I’m a heavy player myself. I know my game is compromised because of this. I just started 75 Hard, and after seeing this post, I’m looking forward to how my game improves from here. Congrats brother!

heh it looks similar mechanically, but there’s just so much more room for those motions. i’m sure that improves consistency. kudos

Are you actually hitting the ball better? Curious

Holy sh** impressive! You probably would’ve needed to be refit anyway.

Damn. You’re half the man you used to be. Good on ya!

Good grief man. That’s an incredible transformation. Well done to you!

  16. Good for you buddy! I lost 90 lbs this year so far, and now i can’t swing the club for shit! completely relearning my body mechanics, love the side by side. i have some videos too, and i’ll probably do the same thing when i feel good enough about my swing and myself to remind me of how far i’ve come.

Was there ever a point where you weren’t at your heaviest but you thought the weight gave you any advantage in any way?

When I lost 100 pounds my putting went to shit because I could no longer anchor my arms to my belly.

  19. Damn, bro. Good on you. Swing looks good and so do you.

Too bad you couldn’t lose the lefty swing.
