I'm fortunate enough to have this course as a reciprocal so played it quite a few times. It's a very good course and always in great condition, but I do think some people get carried away with how good it is. There are some really good holes but there's also some weak ones too. If you've never played it before it's worth a visit. But as for people saying it's the best course ever they need go play somewhere like Formby, Hillside et al.

What is the sunshine I am seeing? After last year when it seemed like it rained every time you tried to film.
I played it in an Open a couple of years ago – a stunning course despite the biblical storms that kept blowing in. Out of interest, how many greenkeepers have they got? We rely on volunteers to help out with divotting tees, clearing debris etc.
Green fees in the UK are getting silly. £210 for Wallasey is just crazy money, no matter how good a course it may be.

Wallasey is a top track arguably better than royal Liverpool up the road , played there many times but it’s clear now that they have invested a lot more in the course hence the extortionate green fees at £210. These clubs are targeting the money people, American tourists and people who visit once. Those greens aren’t £210 ready though, look like they need some water and a good cut.

Quality course. Im a wallasey local been trying to get on the waiting list for a while. Apparently theres a waiting list for the waiting list…
one of my favourite courses,played it in all weathers and still enjoyed it.12th hole par 3 got to best one of the best par 3s in britain
£215-£235 for a summer green fee…they can keep it. Sure it's lovely but that's not 'Average Golf' by any stretch of the imagination. Links golf in the north west is quickly becoming beyond the reach of everyday golfers, sadly.
