  1. How many years are man u going to finsh bottom half before you talk about the teams that are the future. You might as well go on about blackpool, theyre has beens.

  2. Man Utd havnt won the league in 13 years and if they continue this trajectory they will get relegated next season…….I'd love that.

  3. What you don't see a lot of today is bollockings on the pitch. Even at my humble level years ago if a player was not seen to be pulling his weight he would get a bollocking, and that was at Sunday league level.

  4. I'm a 62 year old grouch but listening to Roy always inspires me to work harder at my grouchiness. Keane keeps saying he expects United to beat a team 6th in the French league as if forgetting United are 14th. It's hilariously typical of all these ex players who just cannot shed the past & look at United through objective eyes.
He says United are not good at anything yet should beat Lyon, doesn't say much for Lyon nor indeed for Ligue 1. Both Lille & Monaco performed well in the champions league & would beat United. Lyon sit just behind them & will have no fear about going to Old Trafford. I think United will win because they're better suited to playing more technical teams like Lyon than EPL teams that just run them off their legs. As Keane says, United has largely recruited players not physically robust or mentally resilient enough to play in the EPL. As someone who has heartily hated United for over 50 years, it's been tremendous but getting a little tedious.
United have been inventive in leaving no stone unturned to prolong their relentless mediocrity but are now starting to repeat themselves.

  5. I had a bet with my mate and he lost and now he gives me score every time roy keane says the word 'characters'

  6. It seems probable keane's gonna spend the rest of his pundit career saying this sort of thing about United

  7. In defense of the United players (sour taste in my Man City mouth!), they have actually been punching above their weight for a number of years, driven by that "big team" mentality the English media loves. The squad is actually quite ordinary. If you take out Bruno Fernades, I would bet on the West Ham squad. These past 2 seasons have actually been an accurate reflection of the squad and the organization. So pundits should stop scolding them for having bad mentality because they actually do have strong mentality to even be at this stage in Europa league with that squad! Stop comparing them to the past.

  8. Roy is spot on here. That mentality that these players are showing is like an actual bottom half of the table team.

  9. Untitled Keane, Gary, Paul, Ferdinand, Gigs, shut up Man United are never going to win premier League anytime soon.

  10. There is no doubt that something isn't working at MUFC. The results and stats don't lie.

But the argument that there is "too much pressure" and "players feel unappreciated and unloved" is a bizarre and infantile allegation.

MUFC is one of the biggest clubs in the world. It's won a lot of English trophies in the past. With success comes higher demand and higher expectation. To supply that demand, the club has bought players worth hundreds of millions. Player value isn't built on nonsense. It's built on potential and a record of their performances.

MU isn't a sentimentality ship. It's a ruthless football business. Love for players is directly proportional to their match performances, not obscure or incomprehensible qualities. MU isn't alone. All football clubs and fanbases are the same. If a player isn't performing as expected, then the club and fanbase will give that player time to adapt to the system. The fanbase isn't stupid. They know creating a tournament winning football team isn't magic. It requires vast sums of money, which they provide. They know it takes a while and sometimes it doesn't work. However, fanbase patience isn't unlimited. No player, no matter who they are, deserves player development at their own pace in detriment to the club's position. No player, no matter who they are, deserves a system and luck and adoration that is constantly supplying their ego. Players come and go, but the club is immortal and its fanbase the difference.

Players these days are paid several times the amount that a player like Roy Keane was paid. Keane can only afford to be a pundit. Modern players are rich enough to buy clubs.

The "too big for players club" is an argument which makes previous groups of players responsible. Players like Roy Keane have inadvertently created conditions that undermine the modern player psychological well being. My opinion is their bloated finances should be exchanged with Keane's because it's obvious Keane deserves it more for his resilience and success. The spoilt brats of MUFC don't deserve it. They are losers, not winners.

Modern players are making MUFC the Sir Alex Ferguson club, which thrived while he was manager and is subsequently dying a slow but inevitable death.
