The last part of some fantastic action from 1997, and we start where we left off with the remaining super races from the 1997 National Championships. One of the best ever. Graham Thomas, Mark Wadsworth, and Richard Smith again doing battle, and Raz Palmer, Gary Lloyd, and Simon Beard having a terrific battle in the 500cc Sidecars. A dramatic 1st Semi-Final in the 250cc class, with Jason Stott and Richard Smith handlebar to handlebar. What a fantastic Final the LH Sidecars put on, with Martin Cuff, Neal Owen, John Fish, and Barry & Robin Geer. Was the LH Sidecars better then?
More tremendous action from the South Eastern Centre Championships from Frittenden, where there’s a bit of a close call for the spectators from John Fish & Clive Holland in the LH Sidecars.
Neal Owen & Dylan Davies are in the action again against Tony & Tommy Penfold. We see a terrific battle in the 350cc class between Vince Kinchin, Dave Mears, and Neal Scopes. An absolutely brilliant 250cc Final between Lee Street, Matt Read, and Richard Smith.
Next visit is at the Ugley Bowl and a spectacular off from Mansell Rees in the LH Sidecars, then it’s onto The Poacher where we see some great RH Sidecar races. Then it’s off to the Wimborne Whoppa and John Halsey and Ivor Matthews putting on a terrific race, and Peter Lloyd having a close look at the roping system.
Australian Sidecar champions, Glenn Hough & Robbie Simmons have a scary off at Rhodes Minnis, but survive to do an Ace of Aces and Bonfire Burnup double. To finish off this super compilation Paul Hurry and Jeremy Doncaster have an amazing tussle, and who could forget that superb Solo Final between Simon Wigg and Steve Schofield.
