Creating lag is a fun topic!
Lag can certainly help you create more power in your golf swing – And this drill can help you develop the right sensation for creating more of it.
Most amateur golfers struggle to create lag, but normally that’s because of a poor sequence or an out of position club face – causing the golfer to cast the club in an effort to square things up.
This drill can help give the feel of maintaining lag a bit longer and can help with developing power and improve low point, BUT:
Too much lag can also be a problem, as it’s a natural steepener to the swing. It can also cause the face to get too open if paired with lead wrist extension, which is common.
