Paige Spiranac Claps Back at Critics Over Her So-Called ‘Conservative’ Golf Outfit
Golf influencer Paige Spiranac is once again defending herself against criticism over her on-course fashion — and this time, it’s for an outfit she considered “conservative.”
The 32-year-old former pro golfer recently took to social media to share a series of photos and videos of herself enjoying a day at one of her favorite driving ranges. Dressed in a skintight, open-back one-piece outfit, Spiranac showcased her swing while smiling for the camera — but not everyone was impressed.
“People are so mad about this outfit,” Spiranac captioned one of the posts, adding a laughing emoji to highlight the irony. “The funny part is I really thought it was one of my more conservative looks lol.”
The outfit, which hugged her figure while covering more skin than some of her past golf attire, quickly became a hot topic online. Critics questioned its appropriateness, prompting Spiranac to respond directly to one commenter on X (formerly Twitter), who pointed out a perceived double standard in golf dress codes.
“Who wears that to a golf course? When I did, I was asked to leave,” the user wrote. “Sad double standard we have.”
Spiranac replied with her signature wit, writing, “It’s a driving range with $5 bucket of balls, not Augusta National.”
While the exact location of the course was not disclosed, Spiranac did mention that it holds personal significance. “I hit my very first golf ball on this range and all these years later it’s still one of my favorite places,” she wrote in another post, reflecting on her journey in the sport.
