Coco’s forehand let her down again today.
Great work by Paula! Sad to see Gauff's forehand let her down :/ Until next time!
No había visto tantos juegos de Paula peeeero lo bien que está jugando. Me gusta el juego que tiene. Hace que sea más interesante la WTA. Merece ser finalista por lo menos
IF C.G. gets Her serve & Forehand solid She'll be one of the true greats, at only 20 She's very good. pre this event I was hoping 4 current ' geezers' in sports age have good seasons. Badosa, Keys, Paolini and Muchova. so not bad 2 of 4 are still playing…..
This gotta motivate Stefanos bro
Bro nooooo I was wanting coco to win the AO!111
Coco is her own worst enemy. Is she even having any fun?
Coco lacked confidence and attack. She played waaaaaaayyyyy too passively and expected Badosa to be ok exchanging rally balls down the middle… but she wasn't. Even though Paula got VERY tight at moments, she generally stepped up and hit out on most every short ball Coco hit. What's crazy is that even with that, the scoreline ended 7-5, 6-4. The match was on Coco's racket the entire time but she (sadly) CONSISTENTLY backed down when she was in position to pull ahead and pull away. It wasn't until she was down 2-5 in the 2nd set that she started playing assertively and closer to her ability. But… it was too late… AND huge kudos to Paula for recognizing that and for fully hitting out the 2nd time she served for the match. She went after every first serve and forced Coco to come up with something exceptional to stay in the point/match. She clearly learned her lesson from the last match with Coco and held her mettle long enough to get the win. NOW…. I just need to see her bring that same intensity to her match with Sabalenka… whom I personally feel like she should DOMINATE but seems to underperform against because of their close friendship. I'm really hoping she wants to win more than be Aryna's Bestie…
minus 18 degrees celsius today here in toronto.
Man tsitsipas is lucky
Gauff chokes too much…..overrated.
Gauff looks like an amateur out there at times unfortunately. Can't put away easy points…and lack of focus.
Lol I thought Gauf is unbreakable listening to the commentators but It was not Gauf playing bad, it was Badosa completely outplayed Gauf
Mom announcer it doesn’t sound reliable n right about your comment on Gauff forehand winner on Badosa “the mark of a special kind of player” when Badosa beat Gauff in straight sets. Who has “the mark of a special kind of player “ then?
This video only shows Gauff's wining points, except the match point. Hypocracy is everywhere.
👏🙏. Congrat👏❤Paula. I’m so happy for you❤❤❤. Way to go to the next round and I hope you will win. More good luck to you❤❤❤
Cocos forehand really broke down badly during this match! She was bound to lose against Paula who has phenomenal forehand and backhand! Gauff is overhyped unfortunately and everyone didnt give Paula a chance, but i had faith in her!
Coco Gauff! Smh 🤦♀️
Great play by Paula
Spanish Girl Magic on display. Go Paula!
This is probably Badosa's best moment of her career. Sabalenka vs Badosa is going to be great
amazing match, paula you are a star no matter how the tour ends
Partidazo que nos espera vs Sabalenka, ni a cual irle, Badosa está echa una fiera.
Suerte Coco para la próxima
Coco is going to keep losing big matches if she keeps allowing herself to lose the battle of court position. She's way too far back behind the baseline, her loopy forehand is dropping to short and she doesn't take any risks on the return of serve
Good job, Paula. Coco was not doing anything with the ball. She kept hitting the ball to her opponent. Coco's backhand is weak. Paula earned this match
this ATP1000 is getting better
i hope she wins the tournament and tsitsipas get jealous
Always best watched on “ muted “!
Coco played too defensively and let Badosa dictate too much. She still young but will learn from her mistake
Ahora sigue ante su amiguis SABALENKA 😊
Saludos dsde Perú!
Coco
Fabuloso el triunfo de Badosa
Ojalá siga jugando así la señorita Badosa, luce un tenis contundente y además es muy hermosa.
Huge Badosa fan, and hope she pulls off a miracle run, but unfortunately I doubt anyone is getting past Sabalenka on HC, and nobody's getting past 1ga on clay. Grass is where the women's draw means nothing and literally anybody can win (though I feel like Elena will put it together again for those 2 weeks). Gauff is going to be a 20x semifinalist over her career, but by the time she's gained an advantage over Sabalenka (6 years older), she'll have competition from Iga and Andreeva. American sports media just wants Coco to be Serena, and they need to get over it. It's not happening. Serena is the GOAT of women's tennis and Coco's ceiling is nowhere close to Serena's floor. Good player though — the only times the sports media has gotten "the next ___" right is the next Jordan (LeBron) and the next Brady (Mahomes, so far).
these two players remind me of Venus and Sharapova
Beauty player badosa.
Oh dear my 50 years watching tennis is coming to an end . I miss the days of Justine Henin Chris Evert .
Serve volley one handed backhand , barely a clenched fist and no fingers up to ears.
I’m going to stick to just watching social Tennis after this slam at least there’s variation and far less aggression 😢
Where is your Paula now you racists? What has she ever won, sawa, lets see her at the end of the season.
No more interested in Ausie Open after defeat favorite, beautiful and competent Coco Gauff. Continue to shine Coco you are always a star
I'm completely gutted. I can't sleep; I can't eat over this loss. I fear for the future of the community…
Coco gives the ball too much air, so any player who can hit the ball hard and flat has got a chance. Swiatek had a similar style but she's changing. This style works better on clay but not on hard courts. It's good to see Badosa back in top form. Sabalenka crushed her in the semis, but that was expected. Keys can give Sabalenka a fight but she has to try and control her forehand with a little more top spin. It should be a good match!
💞🦾 > BUT SHE GOT BEAT BY ( COCO ) IN 2024 😂😂
Bad.ass.Oh was like not so fast youngster , there is still some good tennis left in me!
See Paulas movment and how shes hitting beafull
i mean beatiful
Feel like battle between Serena and Muguruza
Jak to sie zmienia, niewiarygodne. Badosa pokonala bez problemu Gauff (3), 2 tygodnie pozniej ta sama Badosa przegrala z Noskova (39?), a ta przegrala z Bencic z miejsca bodajze 157. Ciekawe.
Roulette is my go-to especially after a colleague suggested trying it on Fridays got lucky last session
I'm confused. I keep on seeing Gauff win points but the score for Badosa keeps going up.
