Shane Lowry storms off from Masters interview after getting tired of Rory McIlroy questions.
Following a dismal third-round finish at the Masters, Shane Lowry was not in the mood to respond to enquiries about Rory McIlroy.
As he got closer to the 17th hole, Lowry was on track to finish at least two under par, which would have put him five strokes behind the leader.
Lowry had to participate in an interview right away following the round, as is customary in the competition. Additionally, he objected to being questioned about McIlroy, who leads by two shots into the final round. “No,” yelled Lowry.
I won’t spend ten minutes standing here discussing Rory. I also want to win the competition and then Shane Lowry snapped at a reporter who asked him about Rory McIlroy’s Masters brilliance before ending the interview early.
Meanwhile McIlroy is bidding to become only the sixth man to complete the career Grand Slam of winning all four majors.
