First time I am reviewing Yonex golf clubs. I try out 3 forged irons from Yonex to see how they measure up including the E Zone CB 901, CB 702, and CB 301.

I'm 71 years old, and I'm looking for a second set of clubs for Florida. Could you please give me some suggestions on what clubs to try. Slower swing speed. 18 hc. I need distance and a good decent angle. Thanks
Still have a soft spot for Yonex. Every year at the PGA show, I talk to the reps in the Yonex booth. Try to convince them to get back in the U.S. market. But, as of today, I think there is only one company in California that sells Yonex golf products on EBay. They are pricey, especially if you have to order them directly from Japan. Thanks for the review.
I played Yonex irons (Titanium plus?) and woods for nearly 20 years, I think I bought them in the late 1990s, great clubs at the time and served me well, so I definitely have a soft spot for them.
Problem for Yonex is that I am just not seeing any reason to buy them over existing brands. If I want a premium, Japanese forged iron I would go for Muira, Mizuna or Honma and that is probably being unfair on Srixon. They are clearly good irons and good looking at that, but every manufacturer is making pretty irons that deliver similar numbers.
Well done for reviewing clubs that no one else seems to be reviewing, but outside of the Japanese market I cannot see these being much of a success
Still playing my yonex cyberstars irons have not come across anything that compare, and i have bought other brands since. Their shafts for the clubs are brilliant.
The 301 reminds me of an older Precept tour premium iron, possibly one from Diawa over twenty years ago. It's the shape of the cavity. The 901 looks like a forged version of a Ping iron, just does for some reason, the 701… I remember Phil Mickelson using those Yonex clubs, forged cavity back irons with black graphite shafts and, I think it was called an ADX driver. All composite. He could hit that thing a mile on a string line trajectory, lol!
Great video – thanks. What model of driver were you referring to at the beginning? The one that was 'long' in the 90s. We had Yonex drivers then and loved them but can't recall the model

EZ one
Would this compare to something like a Srixon ZX5?
You lost me at 29° on a 7i 🤨
I've got an old set of Yonex ADX Tours that I play occasionally.

Just hit the Mizuno 243’s this weekend with an MMT shaft. Wow! Very impressive.
Looking forward to the new 2025 in Mizuno, Srixon.
Just saw a line of MX Mizuno CB’s from Japan. Lovely too!

Yonex with steel shafts?
Yyyeeessss!!! I believe this is the only review of these clubs!

Front back dispersion is not very good with your 7 iron test for the improvement model.
I took a chance, bought some Yonex N1-CBs on Ebay for $280 without testing and after first nine holes with them they went straight into the bag.
1.37-1.45 smash?! Wow and that’s with Nippon Modus shafts?
I remember when Phil played Yonex. They had the first carbon fiber driver head/face.
Yonex makes nice equipment. I’ve always wondered why they never made a foothold in the US.

Do you know anything about VMAs 320 irons thanks
So cheap secondhand I got tons of their clubs. Plus they’re great feeling! Hope they stay quiet for longer
