Alejandro Tosti is proving that height doesn’t limit power in the golf swing. At just 5’6″, he’s launching drives 376 yards—and in this video, I break down exactly how.
We’ll dive into the cause and effect behind his insane distance, including:
✅ Severe X-Factor Stretch
✅ Elite Use of Ground Forces
✅ Efficient Sequencing and Timing
This isn’t about swing tips or gimmicks—it’s real biomechanics, real physics, and real results. Whether you’re 5’6” or 6’4”, if you want to unlock more power, understanding what Tosti does right is a must.

Wow, I woke up this morning with the idea that I would look for some Tosti highlights and the very first video suggested on youtube without even searching was this. Thanks again for putting together another great video!!!
His head moves way off the ball, an old school style swing holding off his shoulders?…tough on the body as he gets older I would think. Maybe sacrificing accuracy as well?
I’m not that flexible would be in traction if I tried to copy him plus they haven’t invented
The pain medicine strong enough to ease my pain lol good for him
Enjoy your videos. If you get a chance I would like to see Ryan Gerard golf swing analysis. Thank you.
Exactly what I was wondering. You read my mind
I was hoping for lines and angles.😂
It’s nice to see someone of my stature with some real power and distance! Question: I know this is off topic, but should I be able to feel the club head weight with my Irons, excluding my wedges and driver? I don’t it just feels like I’m swinging a metal stick. I can’t definitely provide specific heads, shafts or anything else in needed. Thanks in advance for your response.
Kid’s phenomenal but, my guess is, he won’t be playing golf in 10 years.
At his height he has to have that athleticism, not sure he can keep it up long term, I fear some back/knee issues might be in his future. Godspeed to him though!
Nice vid. If he could only putt
Another smaller frame bomber is David Ravetto on DP World tour. Hasn’t played super well lately but has won on the DPWT. French guy w Italian name, amazing swing
This is awesome to understand what is a good a swing but, man this can also be very discouraging as I know most of us cannot replicate this swing
Plane line should go up thru the ELBOW! that is why he has to "STAND" up thru the hitting area to make room for his hands! THE majority of golfers are way to close to the ball! Thanks to the PGA!
He keeps the ball flight low and it rolls a lot. He’s got power. Seen him play a lot as he’s been paired with my son several times in the Korn Ferry and in the PGA.
So, essentially, the first requirement to hit 376 yard drives is: Be young. LOL. I know. I remember.
5'6" guy here reporting 😅.. Just learning about him here although I do recognize his name. I'm 45 and about 3 years into recovery after a serious back injury that left me with foot drop in my left (lead) foot. For me, the only thing I'm missing now is that power as I'm still pretty flexible and in shape at 45 and about 147 lbs. I've recently made the decision to cut out the range sessions of hours of practice and I will only hit weights and head to the course and actually save more money and gain more distance.
It was obviously a practice round. Short pants (?)
I like the South African hat. Are you of SA heritage?
Well I'm 5'7…I should be able hit an inch further. 😅
5’6??? Do you know what driver shaft length does he uses???
I see you’re not very bright. Not sure if it’s a practice round? He’s wearing shorts, can’t be a tournament round.
Hey Coach! Can you cover Jake Knapp? Would love to see what he’s doing. Thanks
I am afraid that this video is a bit mis-leading, don't know where you got your stats from, looking at his latest stats Texas Children's Houston Open, those numbers are far less about 40 yds less than you indicate here!
No two people on the planet are going to have the same indicators and evaluating what’s going on is very subjective.
One thing people don’t talk about much is how high on the potential injury scale swings are, and this driver swing is very near the top of that scale. This player will face back and or front knee injury at some point. Sadly.
Hurts my lower back to watch this lol.
If you see the video skip at the beginning I had to remove a portion of the intro due to the PGA issuing a copywrite claim……sorry for the skip around.
👍
I wonder if there will be a video of the back surgeries that he will be having in a few years? The strain on the lower spine has to be tremendous. Hope he makes a boat load of money while he can. He should keep Tiger's phone number handy to get the name of his surgeon. To quote Lee Trevino, "there are two kinds of golfers, those that have bad backs and those that will have bad backs." Just sayin. Rock on Tosti.
I feel pain just watching that driver swing!! 😮😅😅 At 5'6" to hit a ball that far, he needs this motion. Where's my Tylenol??
