Who am I?
My name is Jon Sherman 👋. I’m a best-selling author, PGA Tour coach, and a golfer just like you. I aim to help golfers of all levels lower their scores and enjoy the game more, but without talking about the golf swing. I focus on four topics – expectation management, strategy, practice, and the mental game. I’ll share some of my best advice on this channel in an easy-to-understand, actionable format.

I just saw a masters champion dunk one into Rae’s creek while pitching.
Jon, I know they tell you that emotional faces on your thumbnail increase views, but maybe because I know that, I absolutely hate to see people do it. It looks ridiculous to me. No shade on you, but I just wanted you to know.
Funny how most people think Tiger or Rory can always sink 25 footers all day long.
This video is Gold.
I wholistically agree with all four points. By learning to manage expectations you can avoid some of the issues.
Yep, good reality check Jon.
🎉
This is addictive!!!
Real eye opener. I know you said not to over do putting, but I think I need to focus on it.
Currently, I'm a 13 hcap
Average 50 to 60% FIR
Average 50% GIR
Average 38 to 40 putts per round
I do count my fringe putts though so will need to check if my lag putting woes are a putting issue or an approach proximity issue based on your stats.
Thank you from Australia 🇦🇺
I give myself a extra stroke on every hole, I am happy being a bogey golfer ⛳
Especially since I only play once or twice a week in the summer and don't really practice much. Keep it fun.
All great stuff…read your book…helped me greatly manage expectations and controlling emotions on the course…leading to better scores.
The best thing to golf is watching featured groups on ESPN. EVERY golfer should watch golf like that. I didn’t realize just how many mishits happen throughout a whole round. Makes me feel pretty good about my ~80 rounds and makes those wayward drives and approaches more palatable.
Jon, I asked for and received your book for Christmas. In general, I find most golf books way too technical, but yours was so much more focused on practice, preparation, strategy, and expectation management. I open The Four Foundations of Golf often and watch all of your videos. Thank you for reinforcing what it takes to improve scoring. In particular, I have been able to apply your concepts on club path and club face, and those have been game-changers for me. Thank you so much.
Interesting to look at putter stats between Pro and scratch, virtually no difference at 20 feet on. And for the higher hcp. the fastest way to lower handicap is when in trouble get out and practice your putting inside of 3-5 feet (almost all your second putts should be in this range).
Amazing insight – been reading your books and following content for a while. It really works – People may call it “boring golf” – I call it “winning golf”
Great stuff Jon, keep it up mate!
Loved your book. Love the podcast. Have you done an episode on Hackmotion? It is a transformational training device, for me at least. I'd love to hear you and Adam go deep on it!
F yeah Jonny Boi. Love this type of content. REALISTIC golf is the best.
Perfect timing when Nick Dunlap just dropped a 90
Great video, Jon. Much needed. Thanks
Thanks!! Great insight!
Damn Jon, don't tell me you've given in to the "overly shocked reaction thumbnail" trend. 🙁
Looking to purchase your book. I can purchase and read it on my phone or do you recommend a paper copy? Is there diagrams etc, that are only visible in a hard copy? I know some books have differences between them.
